Compression tests were performed on the Mg−6Zn−0.5Ce(wt.%)alloy using a Gleeble−1500 thermomechanical simulator testing system at temperatures of 250,300,350℃ and strain rates of 0.001,0.01,0.1 s^−1.The microstructure and texture evolution of the Mg−6Zn−0.5Ce alloy during hot compression were investigated by optical microscopy(OM)and electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD).The results showed that Zener−Hollomon parameters obtained from the deformation processes had a significant effect on the dynamic recrystallization and texture of the Mg−6Zn−0.5Ce alloy. The fraction of undynamically recrystallized(unDRXed)regions increased, and the dynamically recrystallized(DRXed)grain size decreased with increasing the Zener−Hollomon parameters. The texture intensity of the DRXed regions was weaker compared with that in the unDRXed regions, which resulted in a sharper texture intensity in the samples deformed with higher Zener−Hollomon parameters. The increase in recrystallized texture intensity was related to preferred grain growth. 展开更多

The sweetpotato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci, has been a destructive pest in China for over the past two decades. It is an extremely polyphagous insect, being recorded feeding on hundreds of host plants around the world. Potential host plants and natural enemies of B. tabaci in the south, southeast, middle, north and northwest of China were investigated during the last decade. In total 361 plant species from 89 families were recorded in our surveys. Plants in the families Compositae, Cruciferae, Cucurbitaceae, Solanaceae and Leguminosae were the preferred host species for B. tabaci, which therefore suffered much damage from this devastating pest due to their high populations. In total, 56 species of parasitoids, 54 species of arthropod predators and seven species of entomopathogenic fungi were recorded in our surveys. Aphelinid parasitoids from Encarsia and Eretrnocerus genera, lady beetles and lacewings in Coleoptera and Neuroptera were found to be the dominant arthropod predators of B. tabaci in China. The varieties of host plant, their distribution and the dominant species of natural enemies of B. tabaci in different regions of China are discussed. 展开更多

Studies on the effect of temperature on the development of the water chestnut beetle, Galerucella birmanica Jacoby were carried out in the laboratory at seven different temperatures: 16 ℃, 19 ℃, 22 ℃, 25 ℃, 28 ℃, 31 ℃ and 34 ℃. The developmental time decreased with increase in temperature. The developmental time at 16 ℃, 19℃, 22 ℃, 25 ℃, 28 ℃, 31 ℃ and 34 ℃ was 96.60, 80.68, 58.96, 43.48, 35.03, 30.08 and 28.02 days for the period from egg hatching to adult emergence, respectively. The developmental threshold estimated for a generation by linear regression was 10.36℃. The fecundity per female at 22 ℃, 25 ℃, 28 ℃, 31 ℃ and 34 ℃ was 102.3, 134.5, 141.2, 130.1 and 116.2 eggs, respectively. Oviposition period ranged from 15.6 days at 22 ℃ to 8.6 days at 34 ℃. Hatchability of eggs was highest at 31 ℃ with 76.9% and lowest at 34 ℃ with 57.1%. The highest generation survival rate was 65.3% at 31 ℃, and the intrinsic rate of natural increase (rm) for G. birmanica was the highest at 34 ℃. 展开更多
