The ^32 Sbeam was provided by the tandem accelerator at the China Institute of Atomic Energy, Bcijing. The ^142 Ndtarget is an enriched metallic foil of about 2.2 mg/cm^2 thickness with a 7.0 mg/cm^2 Pb backing to stop the recoiling nuclei.
