Role of Al(III) in Zn-Based Electrode Synthesis for Supercapacitor

Supercapacitor is considered as one of the most promising energy storage systems because of its high power density, long life and low production cost. Electrode materials play important roles in the performance of Supercapacitor (SC). In this study, Zn-based hydrotalcite structure materials are prepared by hydrothermal method. The influence of Zn/Al ratio in precursors on electrochemical properties of electrode materials is investigated. The results show that Al(III) promotes the formation of relatively ordered active substances and participates in redox reaction on electrode surface. Specific capacitance of Zn-based electrode reaches 2557 F<span style="white-space:nowrap;">·</span>g<sup>-1</sup> (1.0 A<span style="white-space:nowrap;">·</span>g<sup>-1</sup>) at Zn/Al molar ratio of 1:1 in precursors. This method is simple and environmentally friendly. The electrode exhibits excellent electrochemical activity and stability, showing this material application prospect for supercapacitor. 展开更多

Energy density and production cost for high-performance electrode materials are the main challenge for the capacitive storage technology. In this paper, novel Hydroxide Zinc Carbonate (Zn4CO3(OH)6&#183;H2O, HZC) catalyst layers, which are composed of irregular stagger arrangement nanosheets, have been synthesized successfully on foam Ni from inorganic precursors by a feasible in situ hydrothermal method. Measured by electrochemical tests as electrode materials for supercapacitors, the HZC@Ni foam show high specific capacitance (1329.2 F&#183;g&#8722;1 at 1 A&#183;g&#8722;1 and 882.8 F&#183;g&#8722;1 at 10 A&#183;g&#8722;1, respectively). These results show that the HZC@Ni foam could be a potential electrode material for supercapacitors. These encouraging results make these low-cost and eco-friendly materials promising for energy storage application. 展开更多

Study on Capacitance of Zn-Based Electrode in Redox Electrolyte System

Electrode material is one of the most important factors affecting the performance of supercapacitors, and electrolyte solution is another. In this work, electrochemical properties of hydroxide zinc carbonate composite electrode (HZC) in KOH + K3[Fe(CN)6] electrolyte were studied. It was proved that [Fe(CN)6]3&minus;in electrolyte participated in electrochemical reactions and promoted electron transfer. The specific capacitance of HZC electrode was as high as 920.5 F·g&minus;1 at 1.0 A·g&minus;1 in 1 mol·L&minus;1 KOH and 0.04 mol·L&minus;1 K3[Fe(CN)6] electrolyte, which is 172.9% higher than that in KOH. The combination of HZC electrode and low alkalinity aqueous electrolyte provided the supercapacitor system with good capacitance performance, safety, and environmentally friendly. 展开更多

NF-κB是重要的转录调控因子,对下游肿瘤耐药基因起关键调控作用.基于CRISPR基因编辑技术,可在膀胱癌中构建人工合成的基因表达程序,以重编程肿瘤药物应答过程.本研究发现Opa相互作用蛋白5(OIP5)在NF-κB激活后上调,并引起膀胱癌对长春新碱耐药.通过整合连接靶向OIP5的引导RNA与NF-κB的适配体RNA,成功获得兼具编码靶向位点和调控功能的模块化RNA.此模块化RNA可识别并与长春新碱活化的NF-κB相结合,促使NF-κB从上调逆转为下调OIP5表达,并阻断多条NF-κB介导的耐药通路,从而高效阻止肿瘤耐药的发生.本研究还开发了一种纳米递药系统共递送模块化RNA和长春新碱,体内外实验表明两者协同增强药物的抗肿瘤疗效.通过基于纳米递药系统的联合治疗策略,我们证实了CRISPR技术在膀胱癌中构建人工合成基因表达程序的有效性,可重编程肿瘤的药物应答过程,达到增强膀胱癌化疗敏感性的目的. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE:To assess the therapeutic effect of weekend fasting and administration of a modified Lingguizhugan decoction on metabolic syndrome(MetS).METHODS:Twenty-one patients with MetS were recruited from the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University.Fasting plasma glucose(FPG),30-min and 2-h post-prandial blood glucose(PG),fasting serum insulin(FINS),blood pressure(BP),body mass index(BMI),waist circumference(WC),homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR),and levels of triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C),and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)were tested.Patients were allowed to drink only water and a Chinese herbal decoction during weekends.All samples were tested again after 12 weeks of treatment.RESULTS:FPG,30-min PG,2-h PG,FINS,LDL-C,systolic BP,diastolic BP,BMI,WC,and HOMA-IR de-creased significantly(P<0.05)compared with before treatment.Levels of TG,TC,and HDL-C did not change significantly.CONCLUSION:Weekend fasting improved glucose metabolism,lowered BP,reduced LDL-C levels,BMI,and WC.These data suggest that weekend fasting may be an effective therapy for MetS by protection against coronary atherosclerosis. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE:To explore the effect of Linguizhugan decoction on hyperlipidemia rats with caloric restriction.METHODS:The hyperlipidemia model of rat was induced by high fat diet for 8 weeks.After the model was established,26 rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:the control group(n=6),the model group(n=6),the intermittent fasting(IF) group(n= 8),and the IF and herbal medicine(IFH) group(n= 6).IF group was applied intermittent fasting every other day.The IFH group was given Linguizhugan decoction every day and intermittent fasting every other day.Blood samples were taken at the end of 16 weeks,and serum ghrelin and lipid was tested.RESULTS:Serum ghrelin in the IF group significantly increased(P<0.01).Serum ghrelin in IFH group was lower than the IF group(P<0.05),but higher than the model group(P<0.01).CONCLUSION:Linguizhugan decoction may play a part in regulation of energy and appetite in hyperlipidemia rats with IF. 展开更多
