Endotoxin Removal after Root Surface Debridement with Gracey Curretes and Vector^TM-system

Objective: To estimate the presence and the quantity of endotoxin of periodontally involved root surfaces after root surface debridement.Methods: Ninety single rooted teeth with severe bone resorption were selected,which were scheduled for extraction.The teeth were randomly assigned into 3 groups.The teeth in the first group were served as control and they did not receive any debridement.The teeth in the second group were scaled and root planned with Gracey curettes.The teeth in the third group were debrided with the new ultrasonic device VectorTM-system(Dürr Dental).The endotoxin concentrations before and after debridement were assessed by Limulus Amebocyte Lysat(LAL).Results: The concentration of endotoxin of periodontally involved teeth in the control group was 0.825 EU/ml.Scaling and root planning resulted in a significant reduction of the values as follows: Gracey curettes 0.240 EU/ml,VectorTM-system 0.184 EU/ml.Conclusion: Scaling and root planning leads to obvious reduction of the endotoxin on periodontally involved root surfaces and VectorTM-system is comparatively more effective than Gracey curettes. 展开更多

ITS is 624 bp with a GC percentage content of 57.21%. It only has the variation in 585 (C changes T), systematic position in Humulus lupulus (GenBank: EF136401) and Humulus scandens (GenBank: FJ980285), Humulus lupulus (GenBank: DQ005990), with Humulus scandens (GenBank: FJ980285), Humulus lupulus (GenBank: DQ005990) has the near sibship. Humulus in Moraceae family system position between Cudrania tricuspidata and Artocarpeae, support the Cannabiodeae promotion for Cannabinaceae. The divergent time of Humulus is 70.88 mya in Moraceae, Humulus scandens and Humulus lupulus (GenBank: EF136401) is 12.78 mya, with Humulus scandens (GenBank: FJ980285), Humulus lupulus (GenBank: DQ005990) is 1.10 mya. In the Moraceae branch’s molecular systematics research, the suitable choice is to choose Humulus scandens as Moraceae’s outgroup. 展开更多

病毒感染激活cGAS-STING信号通路,诱导包括干扰素在内的一系列细胞因子表达增加的抗病毒反应。如果抗病毒效应未能有效抑制病毒复制并清除病毒,靶细胞大量破坏叠加细胞因子级联反应,大量白细胞聚集,正常肺泡组织将被病毒和严重的炎症反... 病毒感染激活cGAS-STING信号通路,诱导包括干扰素在内的一系列细胞因子表达增加的抗病毒反应。如果抗病毒效应未能有效抑制病毒复制并清除病毒,靶细胞大量破坏叠加细胞因子级联反应,大量白细胞聚集,正常肺泡组织将被病毒和严重的炎症反应所破坏。初步尸检病理证实肺泡、支气管上皮细胞及间质结构破坏和炎症反应。在没有有效抗病毒药物情况下早期抗病毒免疫和抗氧化应激是阻止病情进展的主要措施。阿司匹林在阻断cGAS-STING-细胞因子分泌起重要作用。高剂量维生素C在肺部重症感染治疗中可减轻氧化应激和促进修复,降低死亡率和缩短ICU住院时间。推荐临床早期干预。 展开更多

Over the past decades,photonics has transformed many areas in both fundamental research and practical applications.In particular,we can manipulate light in a desired and prescribed manner by rationally designed subwavelength structures.However,constructing complex photonic structures and devices is still a time-consuming process,even for experienced researchers.As a subset of artificial intelligence,artificial neural networks serve as one potential solution to bypass the complicated design process,enabling us to directly predict the optical responses of photonic structures or perform the inverse design with high efficiency and accuracy.In this review,we will introduce several commonly used neural networks and highlight their applications in the design process of various optical structures and devices,particularly those in recent experimental works.We will also comment on the future directions to inspire researchers from different disciplines to collectively advance this emerging research field. 展开更多

In this paper,a novel birefringence measurement method through the Rayleigh backscattered lightwave within single-mode fiber is proposed,using a single chirped-pulse with arbitrary state of polarization.Numerical analysis is carried out in detail,then pulse-compression phase-sensitive optical time domain reflectometry(PC-O-OTDR)with polarization-diverse coherent detection is employed to verify this method.A 2 km spun single-mode fiber is tested with 8.6cm spatial resolution,and the average birefringence of the fiber under test is measured as 0.234rad/m,which is consistent with previous literatures about single-mode fiber.Moreover,the relationship between the measured birefringence and the spatial resolution is also studied for the first time,and the results show that spatial resolution is crucial for fiber birefringence measurement. 展开更多
