In order to improve the quality of routine cervical smears,we investigated the new Thinprep cytologic test(TCT)for cervical cells.In this study,100 women who were enrolled were randomly divided into two groups.In one ...In order to improve the quality of routine cervical smears,we investigated the new Thinprep cytologic test(TCT)for cervical cells.In this study,100 women who were enrolled were randomly divided into two groups.In one group,the TCT for cervical cells was applied(TCT group),and in the other group routine cervical smear was used.In addition,the cells in the TCT group were screened by double sifters,and centrifuged using a separation medium so as to eliminate mucus,inflammatory cells and blood cells.According to the cell distribution and the thickness of the smear,the results were assigned to three groups,including satisfactory smears,less satisfactory smears and unsatisfactory smears.The TCT had a higher satisfactory rate(98%)compared to the routine cervical smear(32%)(P<0.01),indicating the TCT was superior to the routine cervical smear.It is concluded that the TCT is more acceptable.Meanwhile,in comparison to the routine cervical smear,the TCT for cervical cells has 5 advantages which can greatly increase the cytological accuracy.展开更多

Trichloroethene (TCE) and tetrachloroethylene (PCE) were chosen to study carbon and chlorine isotope effects during evaporation at different temperatures. Equilibrium vapor-liquid carbon and chlorine isotope effects experiments were also conducted. In the equilibrium liquid-vapor system, the 13C was enriched but 37Cl was depleted in the vapor phase, being consistent with previous results. For evaporation average carbon isotope enrichment factor εc were +0.28‰± 0.01‰ for TCE and +0.56‰±0.09‰ for PCE at temperature from 20 to 26 ℃. Meanwhile, average chlorine isotope enrichment factor εCl were -1.33‰±0.21‰ for TCE and -1.00‰±0.00‰ for PCE. The results indicate that during evaporation the equilibrium isotope effect attenuates the magnitude of carbon isotope fractionation whereas enhances the chlorine isotope effect. Isotope fractionation during evaporation is determined by both equilibrium and kinetic factors. Chlorine isotope fractionation is influenced by the evaporation rate which is linked to temperature. When using stable isotope to inves- tigate the behavior of chlorinated organic contaminants in groundwater with slow biodegradation rate, the isotope fractionation resulted from evaporation should be taken into consideration. Furthermore, the environment conditions such as temperature are also factors to be considered.展开更多

In order to provide useful information for effective control and clinical therapy of infection,the resistance status and the rate of carrying AmpC β-lactamase of Enterobacter cloacae(E.cloacae)were investigated.By VI...In order to provide useful information for effective control and clinical therapy of infection,the resistance status and the rate of carrying AmpC β-lactamase of Enterobacter cloacae(E.cloacae)were investigated.By VITEK(Bacterial automatic biochemical analyzer),the isolates of E.cloacae were identified and the drug resistance was measured.The AmpC enzyme was detected by thefive-disk diffusion test.Antibiotic sensitivity test showed that the resistance effects of E.cloacae to cefazolin,cefoxitin and ampicillin were more serious,with resistant rates of 80.5%,75.3%and 70.1%,respectively.However,it was more sensitive to Sulperazone(cefoperazone/sulbactam,13.0%),amikacin(16.9%)and ciprofloxacin(19.5%).Meanwhile,the phenotype detection showed that 35.06%(27/77)isolates of E.cloacae produced AmpCβ-lactamase.Most of E.cloacae are multi-drug resistant strains.Sulperazone(cefoperazone/sulbactam),a kind of componentβ-lactamase,is a more effective antibiotic for treating infection caused by E.cloacae.Unreasonable application of the third generation cephalosporins plays an important role in leading to emergence of high-yield AmpCβ-lactamase strains,so antibiotics should be used wisely.展开更多
