[Objectives]To study the anti-inflammation and anti-swelling effect of Caulophyllum robustum Maxim( CRM) extract on secondary lesions of adjuvant arthritis( AA),associated inflammatory factors of AA rats and mice immu...[Objectives]To study the anti-inflammation and anti-swelling effect of Caulophyllum robustum Maxim( CRM) extract on secondary lesions of adjuvant arthritis( AA),associated inflammatory factors of AA rats and mice immune function. [Methods]Rats were divided into high,middle and low dose CRM extract groups( 69. 23,34. 61,17. 31 mg/kg),methotrexate group( 0. 68 mg/kg),triptolide group( 7. 88 mg/kg),model group and normal control group. The AA rat model was induced by intradermal injection of Freund's complete adjuvant( FCA). After the AA model was established successfully,the paw swelling of AA rats was observed and recorded. The levels of interleukin-1β( IL-1β),interleukin-4( IL-4),interleukin-10( IL-10),Tumor Necrosis Factor-α( TNF-α),interleukin 17( IL-17),interferon( IFN-γ),granulocyte colony-stimulating factor( G-CSF) and transforming growth factor( TGF-β) in the serum of AA rats were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay( ELISA). The spleen was removed and weighed for detecting the drug influence on the immune organs.Impacts were observed by gavage administration at different dosages of 25 mg/kg,50 mg/kg,100 mg/kg for seven days,adopting carbon granules clearance test,delayed-type hypersensitivity induced by dinitrofluorobenzene( DNFB) coupled with flow cytometry evaluating lymphocytes( CD3^+,CD4^+,CD8^+) activation and serolysin test. [Results] Compared with the model group,the joint swelling,spleen index and inflammatory cytokines( IL-1β,IL-4,IL-10,TNF-α,IL-17,IFN-γ,G-CSF,TGF-β) were reduced significantly( P < 0. 05,P < 0. 01). And the activity of CRM was significantly superior to methotrexate and triptergium. Moreover,the results indicated that different dosages of 25 mg/kg,50 mg/kg,100 mg/kg of CRM could significantly reduce the carbon granules clearance index( K) and phagocytic index( a),inhibit the phagocytosis of mononuclear macrophages,reduce the mice swelling extent and inhibit DTH in mice induced by DNFB,decrease the quantity of serum hemolysin. Percentage of CD3^+,CD4^+,and the ratio of CD4^+,CD8^+ notably decreased,whereas CD8^+ obviously increased. Intragastrica dose of 50 mg/kg,100 mg/kg were acknowledged as more objective inhibiting effect compared with a dosage of 25 mg/kg.[Conclusions] Decreasing inflammatory cytokines content,non-specific immune,humoral immune and cellular immune function may be the therapeutic mechanism for rheumatoid arthritis( RA).展开更多
Objective This study aimed to investigate the effects of vitamin B12 mixed oral liquid in the treatment of radiation-induced esophagitis in patients with esophageal cancer.Methods Seventy-five patients with esophageal...Objective This study aimed to investigate the effects of vitamin B12 mixed oral liquid in the treatment of radiation-induced esophagitis in patients with esophageal cancer.Methods Seventy-five patients with esophageal cancer who met the enrollment criteria were randomly divided into the vitamin B12 mixed oral liquid group(39 patients in the study group)and the gentamicin mixed oral liquid group(36 patients in the control group).The effects of the two treatment methods on esophagitis grading,pain degree,body weight loss,and Karnofsky performance status(KPS)score in patients with radiation esophagitis were observed.Results In the control group,grade 1 radiation esophagitis accounted for 27.8%of the total patients,grade 2 accounted for 41.7%,and grades 3 and 4 accounted for 30.6%.In the vitamin B12 treatment group,grade 1 radiation esophagitis accounted for 66.7%of the total patients,grade 2 accounted for 25.6%,and grades 3 and 4 accounted for 7.7%;there was a significant difference between the vitamin B12 treatment group and control group(P<0.01).Similarly,pain caused by radiation esophagitis was significantly improved in the vitamin B12 group compared with the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the average weight loss of the control group was(2.18±0.36)kg,while that of the vitamin B12 treatment group was(0.90±0.43)kg(P<0.05).The KPS scores of the vitamin B12 group were higher than those of the control group,which were 86.2±1.2 and 85.6±1.5,respectively,but there was no statistical difference(P>0.05).Conclusion Vitamin B12 mixed oral liquid can effectively reduce the severity of radiation esophagitis,relieve pain,improve patients’quality of life,and increase treatment compliance.展开更多
The effect of ZrO2, content on the fracture toughness, flexural strength and Vickers hardness as well as the erosive wear resistan properties of zirconia toughened Al2O3-TiC ceramic composites has been investigated. T...The effect of ZrO2, content on the fracture toughness, flexural strength and Vickers hardness as well as the erosive wear resistan properties of zirconia toughened Al2O3-TiC ceramic composites has been investigated. The results showed that the improvement in fracture toughness and flexure strength of composites with the content of zirconia less than 50% and 10% in mass fraction respectively,is primarily attributed to stress-induced transformation toughening by the analyse of X-ray diffraction. The dependance of erosion wear resistance on the attak angle and the content of ZrO2, panicles of the composites was also revealed. It is found that the erosion rate of the composites has a sharp rise at a attack angle over 65°. This phenomenon is due to a brittle response to the erosion test by microsmictural observation on eroded surface.展开更多
Objective We aimed to observe the radiosensitization effect of mir-30a-5p in a nude mouse model with subcutaneous lung-cancer xenograft and to explore the underlying mechanism.Methods A549 cell lines with either stabl...Objective We aimed to observe the radiosensitization effect of mir-30a-5p in a nude mouse model with subcutaneous lung-cancer xenograft and to explore the underlying mechanism.Methods A549 cell lines with either stable upregulation or downregulation of mir-30a-5p,and their negative control,were transfected with lentivirus vectors.These cell lines were used to establish a nude mouse model with subcutaneous lung-cancer xenograft.Each group was randomly divided into irradiated and non-irradiated groups.The radiosensitization effect of mir-30a-5p in vivo was studied by observing xenograft growth trends and tumor weight.The mechanisms involved in this radiosensitization were investigated by detecting expressed radiosensitization-related proteins,using immunohistochemistry and Western blotting.Results The expression level of mir-30a-5p in the lenti-mir-30a-5p group was higher than that in the negative control(lenti-GFP)group and lower in the lenti-inhibitor group(P<0.05).Subcutaneous lung-cancer xenografts in the irradiation group and lenti-mir-30a-5p increased in size slowly;tumors were lighter and tumor inhibition rates were higher than those in the non-irradiation and lenti-GFP groups.In contrast,the opposite of these effects was observed in the lenti-inhibitor group.Immunohistochemistry and Western blotting indicated that ATM protein expression level was lower in the lenti-mir-30a-5p group,with or without irradiation,compared to that in the lenti-GFP group.ATM protein levels were higher in the lenti-inhibitor groups.The phosphorylation level of ATM at residue 1981 was low in the groups without irradiation and increased significantly after irradiation(P<0.05).Moreover,the phosphorylation level was lower in the lenti-mir-30a-5p group and higher in the lenti-inhibitor group than that in the lenti-GFP group after irradiation(P<0.05).Conclusion Mir-30a-5p enhanced the radiosensitivity of nude mice with subcutaneous lung-cancer xenografts by inhibiting ATM phosphorylation.展开更多
Special wettability fibrous materials have received a lot of attention because of their good connectivity,mechanical flexibility,large specific surface area,and ease of shape manipulation.Their outstanding performance...Special wettability fibrous materials have received a lot of attention because of their good connectivity,mechanical flexibility,large specific surface area,and ease of shape manipulation.Their outstanding performance paves the way toward efficient oil/water separation in a variety of environments and for separation requirements.This paper discusses the distinct advantages,challenges,and future research directions of various substrates for fibrous materials,such as nonwoven natural biomass fibers,fabrics,electrospinning fibers,metallic fibers,and inorganic nonmetallic fibers.The special wettability fibrous filter materials and fibrous adsorbents are summarized based on the different separation methods.The principles of preparation of various special wettabilities are introduced,and the unique advantages of fibrous adsorbents are emphasized.The preparation strategy of fibrous filter materials is discussed,as well as some representative work and research progress.The benefits,drawbacks,and research directions in terms of various materials are examined.This article emphasizes the pollution resistance of fibrous filter materials and the elasticity of fibrous adsorbents.Finally,the prospects in terms of the problems,challenges,and future development of special wettability fibrous materials used in oil/water separation are discussed.展开更多
For lessening the weight and volume of flow control system,enlarging the circulation control applying area of angle of attack(AOA),and achieving nice controlling characteristics,a novel lift enhancement method based o...For lessening the weight and volume of flow control system,enlarging the circulation control applying area of angle of attack(AOA),and achieving nice controlling characteristics,a novel lift enhancement method based on dual synthetic jet actuators(DSJAs)and synthetic jet actuator(SJA),and an adaptive proportional integral and differential(PID)algorithm based on radial basis function neural network are introduced.DSJAs are uniformly located along the chord to suppress the separation and trailing-edge SJA is applied to achieve the high circulation.Velocities of actuators are modulated to realize the real speed profile and on–off controlling laws of DSJAs are designed.Numerical simulations show that DSJAs and SJA could suppress the separation completely and move leading-edge stagnation point and trailing-edge separation point downstream even at AOA of 19°,hence achieve the highest lift and nose-down moment augmentation(ΔCl_(max)=0.92,ΔCm_(max)=0.02534),andΔL/D can reach 11.39 at AOA of 18°.Stalling is delayed to more than 19°.Linear lift area and pitch-break angle are both increased to 16°.ΔCl/C_(μ) can reach 76.7,indicating the greatest control efficiency.The results of adaptive PID control,whose controlling effects are proved better than PID,indicate that lift could track the objective with the rise time of 0.0325 s and finally keep steady,suggesting the nice stability and rapidness.展开更多
