The present study aims to investigate the salient features of incompressible, hydromagnetic, three-dimensional flow of viscous fluid subject to the oscillatory motion of a disk. The rotating disk is contained in a porous medium. Furthermore, a time-invariant version of the Maxwell-Cattaneo law is implemented in the energy equation. The flow problem is normalized by obtaining similarity variables. The resulting nonlinear system is solved numerically using the successive over-relaxation method. The main results are discussed through graphical representations and tables. It is perceived that the thermal relaxation time parameter decreases the temperature curves and increases the heat trans- fer rate. The oscillatory curves for the velocity field demonstrate a decreasing tendency with the increasing porosity parameter values. Two- and three-dimensional flow phenom- ena are also shown through graphical results. 展开更多

The similarity solution of the problem is obtained numerically by a shooting method using the Runge-Kutta algorithm. The physical quantities of interest like the fluid velocity and skin friction coefficient are obtained and discussed under the influence of dimensionless curvature. It is evident from the results that dimensionless curvature causes an increase in boundary layer thickness and a decrease in the skin friction coefficient. 展开更多

Long wavelength and low Reynolds number assumptions are used in deriving the governing equations. A shooting method with fourth-order Runge-Kutta algorithm is employed to solve the equations. The influence of dimensionless curvature radius on pumping and trapping phenomena is discussed with the help of graphical results. It is seen that the pressure rise per wavelength in the pumping region increases with an increase in the curvature of the channel. Moreover the symmetry of the trapped bolus destroys in going from strMg'ht to curved channel. 展开更多

In this paper, a numerical study is reported based on the Finite Element Method (FEM) and the Finite Integral Technique (FIT) of Ansoft’s HFSS and CST Microwave Studio (MWS) formulations, respectively, applied to a Bended Complementary Split-Ring Resonator (BCSRR) of rejection band extending from 4.1 GHz to 4.6 GHz. The proposed BCSRR structure is combined with the design of a circularly polarized cylindrical antenna array of square patches with trimmed opposite corners. The performance of the cylindrical antenna array is characterized and compared to that of the flat profile. It is found that the proposed BCSRR reduces the mutual coupling to -15 dB between two patches with a separation of only 1/11th free-space wavelength for applications involving Multi Input Multi Output (MIMO) system. 展开更多
