Numerical Investigations on the Transient Behavior of Sand Waves in Beibu Gulf Under Normal and Extreme Sea Conditions

In this study, a morphodynamic numerical model is established with the Regional Ocean Modeling System(ROMS)to investigate the transient behavior of sand waves under realistic sea conditions. The simulation of sand wave evolution comprises two steps: 1) a regional-scale model is configured first to simulate the ocean hydrodynamics, i.e., tides and tidal currents, and 2) the transient behavior of sand waves is simulated in a small computational domain under the time-variant currents extracted from the large model. The evolution of sand waves on the continental shelf in the Beibu Gulf is specifically investigated. The numerical results of the two-year evolution of sand waves under normal sea conditions compare well with the field survey data. The transient behavior of sand waves in individual months shows that the sand waves are more stable in April and October than that in other months, which can be selected as the windows for seabed operations. The effects of sediment properties, including settling velocity, critical shear stress and surface erosion rate, on sand wave evolution are also analyzed. Then, the typhoon-induced currents are further superimposed on the tidal currents as the extreme weather conditions. Sand waves with the average wavelength generally have more active behavior than smaller or larger sand waves. The characteristics of the evolution of sand waves in an individual typhoon process are quite different for different hydrodynamic combinations. For the storm conditions, i.e., the real combination and maximum combination cases, the sand waves experience a significant migration together with a damping in height due to the dominant suspended sediment transport. For the mild conditions, i.e., the pure tidal current and minimum combination cases, the sand waves migrate less, but the heights continue growing due to the dominant bedload transport. 展开更多

目的利用气相色谱串联质谱联用仪(GC-MS/MS)建立食品包装纸中24种有害物质(17种邻苯二甲酸酯(PAEs)和7种多氯联苯(PCBs))同时测定的方法。方法样品处理后准确加入30 mL异丙醇和内标溶液,超声萃取40min,使用气相色谱串联质谱仪进行检测,... 目的利用气相色谱串联质谱联用仪(GC-MS/MS)建立食品包装纸中24种有害物质(17种邻苯二甲酸酯(PAEs)和7种多氯联苯(PCBs))同时测定的方法。方法样品处理后准确加入30 mL异丙醇和内标溶液,超声萃取40min,使用气相色谱串联质谱仪进行检测,并采用内标法定量。结果在0.02~1.0μg/mL范围内,24种化合物的拟合曲线线性良好,相关系数R^2在0.9945~1.0000之间,方法检出限和定量限分别为0.0005~0.0028 mg/L和0.0016~0.0089 mg/L,6种不同品牌的食品包装纸种的最高残留量为26.53 mg/kg。对24种化合物进行低、中、高3个水平浓度的加标回收试验,发现平均回收率在85.6%~109.7%之间,日内和日间的相对标准偏差分别小于6%(n=5)和9%(n=3),回收率、重复性及精密度良好。结论该方法简便、快速、结果准确可靠,适用于同时测定食品包装纸中24种有害物质,是一种高通量测试方法。 展开更多

海底管道是海上油气工程的重要基础设施。随着港口运输规模的不断扩大和海洋油气工程的快速发展,港口航道区域与海底管道登陆段发生重叠情况不可避免。第三方活动造成的坠落物撞击(如船舶落锚),会威胁航道下方埋设的海底管道的结构安全... 海底管道是海上油气工程的重要基础设施。随着港口运输规模的不断扩大和海洋油气工程的快速发展,港口航道区域与海底管道登陆段发生重叠情况不可避免。第三方活动造成的坠落物撞击(如船舶落锚),会威胁航道下方埋设的海底管道的结构安全。为了寻求合理的防护措施,保证海底管道的安全运行,有必要对落锚引起的管道动态响应进行研究。文章采用物理模型实验的方法,对管道上方覆盖的纯块石层、混凝土块层+块石层、混凝土块层+橡胶垫+块石层、柔性防护垫层+块石层等不同防护形式的有效性进行了对比研究。利用光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)传感器实时测量管道表面的动态应变响应,分析其沿管道的轴向变化以及极值分布。通过模型试验确定了相对有效的覆盖层形式及设计厚度,为海底管道的设计和维护提供了重要依据。 展开更多

The flapwise bending vibrational equations of tapered Rayleigh beam are derived based on Hamilton’s principle.The corresponding vibrational characteristics of rotating tapered Rayleigh beams are investigated via variational iteration method(VIM).Natural frequencies and corresponding mode shapes are examined under various rotation speed,taper ratio and slenderness ratio focusing on two types of tapered beam.The convergence of VIM is examined as part of the paper.Validation of VIM solution is made by referring to results available in other literature and corresponding results show that VIM is capable of yielding precise results in a very efficient way. 展开更多

Numerical Investigations on Hydrodynamic Performance of An Open Comb-Type Breakwater Under Medium Water Levels

The comb-type breakwater(CTB)has been proposed and investigated in recent years due to its advantages in terms of deep-water adaptability,material saving and water exchanges.All existing empirical formulae for CTBs have been so far restricted to the water level above the bottom of the superstructure,which mainly occurs under the high tides or storm tides.However,based on recent engineering applications and experimental observations,the most severe conditions for CTBs are more likely to occur under a medium water level,because impulsive wave pressure may occur due to interactions between waves and the special chamber in CTBs.Meanwhile,during the most of construction and operation periods,the CTBs are mainly working under the medium water levels,i.e.,water levels below the bottom of the superstructure.In this study,the effects of main influence parameters on the horizontal wave force coefficient and wave transmission coefficient for open CTBs(with partially immersed side plates)under medium water levels were investigated based on a 3D numerical wave flume and corresponding empirical formulae were proposed.It is indicated that the location of the side plate related to the main caisson has significant influence on the hydrodynamic performance of CTBs.In engineering applications,the location of the side plate can be designed at b/L≤0.15 or b/L≥0.3(where b is the distance between the side plate and the front face of the main caisson and L is the incident wave length)for efficiently lowering the horizontal wave force and wave transmission.The flow mechanism of impulsive wave force on CTBs was revealed based on synchronous analyses of flow fields and pressure distribution.Through appropriate design of the height of the superstructure according to H/hD≤1.0 or H/hD≥1.5(where H is the incident wave height and hD is the distance between the still water level and the bottom of the superstructure),the likely impulsive wave pressure on the side plate can also be diminished. 展开更多
