On the other hand, in some cases, for a calamity, such as hurr...Now GIS is turning into a good tool in handling geographical, economical, and population data, so we can obtain more and more information from these data. On the other hand, in some cases, for a calamity, such as hurricane, earthquake, flood, drought etc., or a decision-making, such as setting up a broadcasting transmitter, building a chemical plant etc., we have to evaluate the total population in the region influenced by a calamity or a project. In this paper, a method is put forward to evaluate the population in such special region. Through exploring the correlation of geographical parameters and the distribution of people in the same region by means of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, unit population database (1km× 1km) is established. In this way, estimating the number of people in a special region is capable by adding up the population in every grid involved in this region boundary. The geographical parameters are obtained from topographic database and DEM database on the scale of 1: 250 000. The fundamental geographical parameter database covering county administrative boundaries and 1km × 1km grid is set up and the population database at county level is set up as well. Both geographical parameter database and unit population database are able to oiler sufficient conditions for quantitative analysis. They will have important role in the research fields of data mining (DM), Decision-making Support Systems (DSS), and regional sustainable development.展开更多
The N-terminal sequence of Luffaculin 1 was determined to be Asp-Val-Ser-Phe-Ser-. The CD spectrum of Luffaculin 1 indicated that Luffaculin 1 contains the 37.1% α-helix, 33.4% β-sheet,and 29.5% random coil. N-glycosidase activity of Luffaculin 1 against animal rRNA is observed. The anti-tumor activity of Luffaculin 1 on cell strains B16, MGC, Bel were determined,giving IC50 of 1.78×10^-7mol/L,2.11×10^-7mol/L,and 4.21×10^-7mol/L,respectively. We also discussed the N-terminal sequences, secondary structures,and bioactivities of Luffaculin 1 against Trichosanthin.展开更多
Objective To Explore the mechanism of the acupuncture on posanenopausal osteoporo-sis.Method One hundred Wistar female rats(6 month- old)were randomly divided into two groups: O-variectomized group and sham - opera...Objective To Explore the mechanism of the acupuncture on posanenopausal osteoporo-sis.Method One hundred Wistar female rats(6 month- old)were randomly divided into two groups: O-variectomized group and sham - operated group. After 3 months of operation, three rats were chosen tomeasure the bone histomorphometric indexes. Then the ovariectomized rats were distributed randomly to acupuncture group and yigaining group and normal saline group and control 2 group, the rats were respec-tively treated by acupuncture and yigaining and normal saline. After the treatment for three course, all rats were collected blood from the ateria femoralis, the levels of calcitonin were measured by IRMA. the bone histomorphometric indexes and C - cell in thyroid follicle were detected. Results The levels of calcitonin of acupuncture group were increasing significantly comparing with the yigaining group and the normal saline group and the control 2 group ( p < 0.05), but there were no evident difference in the levels of cal-citonin between the acupuncture group and the sham - operated group. The mean trabecular bone width and the tmbecuhar bone volume % of acupuncture group were increasing more than that of the normal saline group and the control 2 group(p < 0.05) ;the mean marrow cavity width and the marrow cavity vol-ume % were derreasing more than that of the nomal saline group and the control 2 group( P < 0.05) ; the number of C - cell in thyroid follicle of the acupuncture group were increasing more than that of the other groups except the sham - operated group. Conclusion Acupuncture can effectively treat the post-menopausal osteoporosis by strengthening the ability of the C - cell in thyroid follicle which can improve the levels of calcitonin in serum.展开更多
