The crystal morphology and compositions of the synthetic HA were investigated using TEM, IR, XRD and XPS techniques and were compared with those of porcine femoral bone apatite. The results showed that the synthetic HA is nanometer rod crystal similar to the bone apatite, and the average crystal sizes calculated by Scherrer equation for the four samples (HA dried at 80℃, unburned bone apatite, HA calcined at 750℃ and bone apatite calcined at 750℃) are 20.6, 21.7, 22.5 and 27.6nm, respectively. Moreover, the essential compositions for the synthetic HA and bone apatite are almost the same.展开更多

Nanoapatite and polyamide composite cement has a reasonable setting time, excellent washout resistance, high mechanical strength and bioactivity, and it is easily handled and shaped, which can be developed as a clinical cement. To faciliate the development of LCA software system in China, we built an object-oriented LCA software system plantform based on LCA international standards ISO 14040 to ISO 14043 and the commonness of diverse products. The system includes six modules: disassembly module, data collection module, arithmetic module, drawing module, database module and control module. It evaluates all economic and environmental impacts during the whole life cycle of a product. The integrated life cycle inventory database system allows dynamic expansion, which makes the effort required for data collection reduce with the increase of the system's application. With the improvement of human environmental-awareness, the demand of environment-friendly products is increasing, and ecological design of products has become a critical part in products development. Consummation of the LCA software system will provide a powerful tool for designing and developing Chinese ecological products.展开更多

Methods: Sixty three patients of chronic hepatitis B w...Objective: To explore the clinical therapeutic effect of Qianggan Capsule (QGC) in treating chronic hepatitis B with liver fibrosis from the pathological aspect. Methods: Sixty three patients of chronic hepatitis B with liver fibrosis were randomly divided into the treated group (n=45) and the control group (n=18). Both groups were treated with general liver protective drugs, such as Glucurone and vitamins B complex for 6 months. To the treated group, QGC was used additionally. The levels of serum alanine transaminase and liver fibrosis indexes including hyaluronic acid (HA), collagen type Ⅳ (C Ⅳ) and laminin (LN) as well as the pathological examination of liver biopsy were observed before and after treatment. Results: The liver cirrhosis indexes, HA, C Ⅳ and LN, were improved significantly in the treated group after treatment, P <0.05. The liver function improvement rate in the treated group and the control group was 90.3% and 66.7% respectively, comparison of the two groups showed insignificant difference, P >0.05. Pathological examination showed that the effective rate of treatment on liver inflammatory necrosis activity grade in the treated group was 57.8% and that on liver fibrosis stage was 75.6%, which were significantly improved as compared with those before treatment ( P <0.05 and P <0.01), while in the control group, no significant improvement was found after treatment ( P >0.05). Conclusion: QGC has marked effects in reversing liver fibrosis and alleviating hepatic inflammatory necrosis in patients of chronic hepatitis B with liver fibrosis, and could lower the serum liver fibrosis related indexes effectively.展开更多
