In order to achieve the precise radiotherapy with the high energy 12C beam in active pencil beam scanning mode, we have developed an ionization chamber(IC) as an online monitor for beam intensity and also a dosimeter after calibration. Through the choosing of working gas and voltage, optimizing of the electrics and the read-out system, calibrating the linearity, the detector system provide us one of the simple and highly reliable way to monitoring the beam during the active pencil beam scanning treatments. The measurement results of this detector system show that it could work well under the condition of high energy 12C beam in active pencil beam scanning mode.展开更多

They are usually constructed with a module array design, such as the TOF Wall. The performance of such detectors is excellent, but the number of electronics channels is quite large, and the operation and calibration are too complicated. As a result, a large area plastic scintillation detector with only 4 readout signals from the corners is constructed and developed as a simple TOF Wall at ETF in IMP.展开更多

The spectroscopic factors and orbital angular momenta of the removednucleons can be deduced by comparison of the experimental cross sections and longitudinal-momentum distributionsto those calculated in the Glauber reaction theory. Recently, study shows that for strongly bound valence nucleonknockout, the experimental cross sections are much smaller than reaction theory predictions[2].展开更多

It is composed of 7 layers ofCsI(Tl) crystals. For each crystal, 4 photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) is coupled to the truncated corners for collectingscintillation light. Each crystal has an active area of 50 mm 50 mm, and the thickness of the crystals are between5 and 10 mm. According to the requests of different experiments, the combination and the ordering of the layerscould be different. In order to achieve good uniformity of light collection, the dressing of each crystal was carefullychosen. The first three layers of the crystals are coated with ESR film, and the others are packed with 7 m Al-Foil.展开更多
