Theoretical calculations and evaluations of n+^(23)Na reaction

All reaction cross sections, angular distributions, energy spectra, and double-differential cross ... The data for neutron-induced reactions are indispensable in a lot of applications of nuclear science and technologies. All reaction cross sections, angular distributions, energy spectra, and double-differential cross sections of neutron, proton, deuteron, triton, and alpha-particle emissions are consistently calculated and analyzed for n+^(23)Na reactions at incident neutron energies below200 Me V, based on nuclear theoretical models. The calculated results are compared with the experimental data and the evaluated data in the ENDF/B-VII, JENDL-4.0,and JEFF-3.2 libraries. In most cases, the calculated results describe the corresponding experimental data well. At the resonance energy region, evaluated experimental data are adopted to fit to the resonance structures. 展开更多

Equipped with multiple and unique features,a terahertz absorber exhibits great potential for use in the development of communication,military,and other fields where achieving perfect broadband absorption has always been a challenge.We present a metamaterial terahertz(THz)absorber comprising a cross-dipole patch,four symmetric square patches and an asymmetric open-loop patch with a good perfect absorption rate for TE and TM polarizations.The average absorption of more than 96%occurs in the frequency range from 2.4 THz to3.8 THz,in which the absorptance peak can reach 99.9%,as indicated by simulated results.Our design has broad potential applications in THz couplers,as well as in fields like biology and security. 展开更多

We achieved a set of 9Be global phenomenological optical model potentials by fitting a large experimental dataset of the elastic scattering observable for target mass numbers from 24 to 209.The obtained 9Be global optical model potential was applied to predict elastic-scattering angular distributions and total reaction cross-sections of 8,10,11B projectiles.The predictions are made by performing a detailed analysis comparing with the available experimental data.Furthermore,these elastic scattering observables are also predicted for some lighter targets outside of the given mass number range,and reasonable results are obtained.Possible physical explanations for the observed differences are also discussed. 展开更多
