Evaluation of Satisfaction Survey of Decision-Making Meteorological Services in Shaanxi Province, China in 2017

In China, decision-making meteorological services provide meteorological information for the production organization, disaster prevention and mitigation by the CPC committee, government, military leaders and decision-making departments at all levels, as well as scientific decision-making in the areas of rational development and utilization of climate resources and environmental protection. In order to understand the user’s satisfaction with the decision-making meteorological service, the Shaanxi Provincial Meteorological Bureau conducted a statistical survey, and the results showed that: 1) In 2017, the satisfaction level of provincial-level decision-making meteorological services in Shaanxi, China was 92.77%. Among them, the satisfaction index of “Ministry Department Service Personnel Professional Image and Service Awareness” was 94.12%, and the “Weather Forecast Warning Accuracy” satisfaction index was 90.18%. 2) Decision-making users have become an important channel for obtaining meteorological information through meteorological websites, televisions, mobile phone text messages, APP mobile applications, broadcasting, and Meteorological Information Express. Rainstorms, floods, high temperature heat, cold winds, hail, precipitation, and lightning are still the main concerns of decision-makers. 3) The focus on haze and UV intensity is 15% and 8% higher than that of 2016. The next 1 - 3 days weather forecast and 0 - 6 hours short-term forecast are still the most valuable forecast products for decision-making users. Compared with 2016, the next 1 - 3 days weather forecast, future 0 - 6 hours forecast, traffic meteorology, precipitation probability, and air quality forecast increase by 1% to 14% in the year of 2017. 展开更多

A fast and selective adsorbent for Hg(ll) from aqueous solutions using thiourea (TU) functionalized polypropylene fiber grafted acrylic acid (PP-g-AA), PP-g-AA-TU fibers, was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The adsorption behavior of the functionalized chelating fibers for Hg(Ⅱ) was investigated by static adsorption experiments, and the effects of some essential factors on adsorption of Hg(Ⅱ) were examined, such as pH, initial concentration, adsorption time, coexisting cations, and temperature, The results showed that the adsorptive equilibrium could be achieved in 10 min, and the equilibrium adsorption quantity of PP-g-AA-TU fibers was 20 times that of PP-g-AA fibers. The PP-g-AA-TU fibers showed a very high adsorption rate and a good selectivity for Hg(Ⅱ) over a wide range of pH. The adsorption isotherm can be well described with Langmuir model, with the maximum adsorption capacity for Hg(Ⅱ) up to 52.04 mg.g-1 and the removal of Hg(Ⅱ) more than 97%. The kinetic data indicate that the adsorption process is best-fitted into the pseudo-second-order model. 展开更多

Although most fishes are ectothermic,some,including tuna and billfish,achieve endothermy through specialized heat producing tissues that are modified muscles.How these heat producing tissues evolved,and whether they share convergent molecular mechanisms,remain unresolved.Here,we generated a high-quality genome from the mackerel tuna(Euthynnus affinis)and investigated the heat producing tissues of this fish by single-nucleus and bulk RNA sequencing.Compared with other teleosts,tuna-specific genetic variation is strongly associated with muscle differentiation.Single-nucleus RNA-seq revealed a high proportion of specific slow skeletal muscle cell subtypes in the heat producing tissues of tuna.Marker genes of this cell subtype are associated with the relative sliding of actin and myosin,suggesting that tuna endothermy is mainly based on shivering thermogenesis.In contrast,cross-species transcriptome analysis indicated that endothermy in billfish relies mainly on nonshivering thermogenesis.Nevertheless,the heat producing tissues of the different species do share some tissue-specific genes,including vascular-related and mitochondrial genes.Overall,although tunas and billfishes differ in their thermogenic strategies,they share similar expression patterns in some respects,highlighting the complexity of convergent evolution. 展开更多

Objective: To understand the effect of weaning time on the rearing performance of yellowtail amberjack Seriola lalandi dorsalis in the experimental condition. Methods: The same weaning protocol started on four different days of post hatching (DPH), including 12 DPH (W12), 15 DPH (W15), 18 DPH (W18), and 21 DPH (W21), respectively. Growth, survival, and jaw malformation were used as the assessment criteria to evaluate the impact of weaning time on the performance of yellowtail amberjack larvae. Results: The highest specific growth rate was observed in W21 treatment, and the lowest specific growth rate was found in W12 treatment. The highest survival was achieved in W21 treatment, and the lowest survival was recorded in W12 treatment. With postponing the weaning started time, jaw malformation rate significantly reduced. At the end of this study, the highest malformation rate was observed in W12 treatment, and the malformation rate was not significantly different in W15, W18, and W21 treatment. Conclusions: Base on the results obtained in this study, we suggest that weaning of yellowtail amberjack larvae should be started from 15 DPH. 展开更多
