In the paper, the homoclinic (hateroclinic) breather limit method (HBLM) is applied to seek rogue wave solution of the Benjamin Ono equation. We find that the rational breather wave solution is just a rogue wave solution. This result shows that rogue wave can come from the extreme behavior of the breather solitary wave for (1+1)-dimensional nonlinear wave fields. 展开更多

In this paper, by using bilinear form and extended three-wave type of ans¨atz approach, we obtain new cross-kink multi-soliton solutions of the (3+1)-dimensional Jimbo-Miwa equation, including the periodic breather-type of kink three-soliton solutions, the cross-kink four-soliton solutions, the doubly periodic breathertype of soliton solutions and the doubly periodic breather-type of cross-kink two-soliton solutions. It is shown that the generalized three-wave method, with the help of symbolic computation, provides an effective and powerful mathematical tool for solving high dimensional nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics. 展开更多

This paper presents a novel model-free method to solve linear quadratic(LQ)mean-field control problems with one-dimensional state space and multiplicative noise.The focus is on the infinite horizon LQ setting,where the conditions for solution either stabilization or optimization can be formulated as two algebraic Riccati equations(AREs).The proposed approach leverages the integral reinforcement learning technique to iteratively solve the drift-coefficient-dependent stochastic ARE(SARE)and other indefinite ARE,without requiring knowledge of the system dynamics.A numerical example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. 展开更多

Starting of combustion engines is a typical transient operating mode that has sigrdficant influence to the engine performance.Due to the distinct variations in the pathes of air intake and fuel injection,the model of the engine system contains considerable uncertain parameters.To search effective control schemes that guarantee desired performance,engine starting control is proposed as a benchmark challenge problem.As a challenging result,a model-based control scheme is developed perviously.In this work,the benchmark problem is revisited and a modification for the fuel injection path control of the previous work is proposed by integrating a time sequence regressive based parameter tuning strategy.Validation by the benchmark problem simulator shows that although the new strategy has simple structure,similar control performance is obtained.Especially,the new strategy has potential extensibility with learning based methods to further improve the performance of the benchmark problem on engine starting control. 展开更多

The effects of financial liberalization on productivity:Evidence from India’s manufacturing sector

Using a panel of India’s registered manufacturing firms and both economy-wide and firm-level financial data,we investigate the effects of India’s financial liberalization on the productivity of its manufacturing sector in the 1990s and 2000s.Our dynamic panel analysis shows that the series of financial liberalization policies/measures,at both the macro and micro levels,significantly enhanced the productivity of the manufacturing sector.Total factor productivity increased for all firms,including those owned by the state government,with greater gains for the firms in the private and foreign sectors.Our results suggest that policies favoring financial liberalization should be pursued further in order for India to foster higher economic growth. 展开更多

Herein, we reported an efficient and straightforward method to realize desaturated β-C(sp^(3))-H sulfonylation andphosphonylation of cyclic amines driven by electrochemistry using catalytic amounts of CP_(2)Fe as the redoxmediator. This protocol which had good functional group compatibility, provided the desired enaminyl sulfoneand enaminyl phosphine oxide products with high chemo- and regio-selectivity under mild conditions. Severalmechanistic studies have suggested that cyclic amines underwent multiple single-electron oxidation and deprotonation processes, followed by a capture step involving either a sulfonyl radical or a phosphonyl radical, ultimately leading to the desired products. 展开更多
