Long-term trend analysis of wave characteristics in the Bohai Sea based on interpolated ERA5 wave reanalysis from 1950 to 2020

Reasonably understanding of the long-term wave characteristics is very crucial for the ocean engineering.A feedforward neural network is operated for interpolating ERA5 wave reanalysis in this study,which embodies a detailed record from 1950 onwards.The spatiotemporal variability of wave parameters in the Bohai Sea,especially the significant wave height(SWH),is presented in terms of combined wave,wind wave and swell by employing the 71 years(1950–2020)of interpolated ERA5 reanalysis.Annual mean SWH decreases at−0.12 cm/a estimated by Theil-Sen estimator and 95th percentile SWH reflecting serve sea states decreases at−0.20 cm/a.Inter-seasonal analysis shows SWH of wind wave has steeper decreasing trend with higher slopes than that of swell,especially in summer and winter,showing the major decrease may attribute to the weakening of monsoon.The inner Bohai Sea reveals a general decreasing trend while the intersection connecting with the Yellow Sea has the lower significance derived by Mann-Kendall test.Meanwhile,95th percentile SWH decreases at a higher rate while with a lower significance in comparison with the mean state.The frequencies of mean wave directions in sub-sector are statistically calculated to find the seasonal prevailing directions.Generally,the dominant directions in summer and winter are south and north.A similar variation concerning to SWH,the trend of the mean wave period is provided,which also shows a decrease for decades. 展开更多

Aquatic animals have benefited from Bacillus subtilis-based probiotics over the past few decades.This study evaluated the effects of B.subtilis DSM 32315 probiotics as a feed additive on growth,immune response and resistance to acute ammonia challenge in Nile tilapia.Specifically,four supplemental levels(0%,0.1%,0.2%,and 0.3%)of B.subtilis probiotics were tested under two dietary protein levels(32%and28%).Five replicate tanks were randomly allotted to each dietary treatment,with each tank containing 30Nile tilapia.After 8 weeks of feeding,Nile tilapia in each tank were exposed to 43.61 mg/L of total ammonia nitrogen for 48 h.The results revealed that reducing protein levels from 32%to 28%did not affect growth performance or antioxidant capacity.However,the low protein diet tended to induce an inflammatory effect shown by increased expressions of TGF-βand IFN-γgenes(P<0.05)in the liver.The impact was alleviated by the probiotic supplementation.Compared with the non-supplemented group,0.1%probiotic supplementation remarkably increased plasma lysozyme activity,total antioxidant capacity and complement C3 and interleukin-10 mRNA levels(P<0.05)in the 28%protein diet,while higher supplementation of probiotics(0.3%)was shown to be beneficial for the high protein diet(32%).In both the dietary protein levels,0.1%supplementation of probiotics promoted the antioxidant capacity of Nile tilapia before exposure to ammonia stress but higher probiotic supplementation(0.3%)proved to be necessary under ammonia stress as evidenced by higher fish survival rate.Results exhibited that supplementation with B.subtilis probiotics had a better effect on the intestinal morphology(villi height and width)regardless of protein levels.In conclusion,dietary supplementation of B.subtilis DSM 32315probiotics at 0.1%in the low protein diet and up to 0.3%in the high protein diet showed beneficial effects on the growth,immunity,and antioxidant capacity of Nile tilapia.Under ammonia stress conditions,the higher supplementation of B.subtilis DSM 32315 probiotics at 0.3%improves stress tolerance of Nile tilapia despite the two dietary protein levels(32%;28%). 展开更多

Adenosquamous carcinoma(ASC)is a rare histological type of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma,which includes both adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma.The clinical features,physical examination,routine laboratory tests,and imaging examinations of patients with ASC are nonspecific.ASC is easily misdiagnosed as hepatocellular carcinoma,and patients with ASC always have a poor prognosis.This study reports a patient with ASC who was diagnosed based on pathological results,underwent surgical resection,and received postoperative chemotherapy(gemcitabine plus cisplatin)combined with immunotherapy(sintilimab).During the 1-year follow-up,the patient was in good condition,and no signs of cancer recurrence were noted.This case highlights that surgical resection and chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy may be feasible for patients with ASC. 展开更多

Land surface temperature retrieval from Landsat 8 data and validation with geosensor network 被引量:1

A method for the retrieval of land surface temperature (LST) from the two thermal bands of Landsat 8 data is proposed in this paper. The emissivities of vegetation, bare land, buildings, and water are estimated using different features of the wavelength ranges and spectral response functions. Based on the Planck function of the Thermal Infrared Sensor (TIRS) band 10 and band 11, the radiative transfer equation is rebuilt and the LST is obtained using the modified emissivity parameters. A sensitivity analysis for the LST retrieval is also conducted. The LST was retrieved from Landsat 8 data for the city of Zoucheng, Shandong Province, China, using the proposed algorithm, and the LST reference data were obtained at the same time from a geosensor network (GSN). A comparative analysis was conducted between the retrieved LST and the reference data from the GSN. The results showed that water had a higher LST error than the other land-cover types, of less than 1.2℃, and the LST errors for buildings and vegetation were less than 0.75℃. The difference between the retrieved LST and reference data was about 1℃ on a clear day. These results confirm that the proposed algorithm is effective for the retrieval of LST from the Landsat 8 thermal bands, and a GSN is an effective way to validate and improve the performance of LST retrieval. 展开更多
