The effects of Ta content(2.72wt.%,3.10wt.%and 4.00wt.%)on the solidification characteristics and mechanical properties of directionally solidified DZ411 Ni-based superalloys were investigated.It is found that the con...The effects of Ta content(2.72wt.%,3.10wt.%and 4.00wt.%)on the solidification characteristics and mechanical properties of directionally solidified DZ411 Ni-based superalloys were investigated.It is found that the content of Mo decreases with the increase of Ta in liquid phase after directional solidification,indicating the addition of Ta can reduce the element segregation in alloys.The primary and secondary dendrite arm spacings(PDAS and SDAS)of the DZ411 alloy increase with the addition of Ta,which are consistent with the models by Hunt and Wagner.The increase of PDAS and SDAS can provide enough space for the growth of tertiary dendrite arms,which hinders the growth of unfavorably oriented primary dendrites.As a result,the addition of Ta facilitates the growth of favorably oriented dendrites.More MC carbides andγ-γ'eutectics are formed in the interdendritic regions,which is attributed to the segregation of Ta in the liquid phase.Furthermore,the degree of supersaturation of W,Mo inγmatrix increases with the increase of Ta,thus,the addition of Ta promotes the formation of TCP phase.The addition of Ta also increases the microhardness in both the primary dendrite and interdendritic regions of the alloy,and the microhardness of the primary dendrite is closer to that in interdendritic regions with the increase of Ta.展开更多
Due to the strong electromagnetic interferences and human interference,traditional electromagnetic methods cannot obtain high quality resistivity data of mineral deposits in Chinese mines.The wide field electromagneti...Due to the strong electromagnetic interferences and human interference,traditional electromagnetic methods cannot obtain high quality resistivity data of mineral deposits in Chinese mines.The wide field electromagnetic method(WFEM),in which the pseudo-random signal is taken as the transmitter source,can extract high quality resistivity data in areas with sever interference by only measuring the electric field component.We use the WFEM to extract the resistivity information of the Dongguashan mine in southeast China.Compared with the audio magnetotelluric(AMT)method,and the controlled source audio-frequency magnetotelluric(CSAMT) method,the WFEM can obtain data with higher quality and simpler operations.The inversion results indicate that the WFEM can accurately identify the location of the main ore-body,which can be used for deep mine exploration in areas with strong interference.展开更多
The hexagonal to orthorhombic(HO)transformation fromβ-Ni_(3)Sn_(2)(hexagonal)phase toα'-Ni_(3)Sn_(2)(orthorhombic)phase was confirmed in directionally solidified Sn−Ni peritectic alloys.It is shown that the reme...The hexagonal to orthorhombic(HO)transformation fromβ-Ni_(3)Sn_(2)(hexagonal)phase toα'-Ni_(3)Sn_(2)(orthorhombic)phase was confirmed in directionally solidified Sn−Ni peritectic alloys.It is shown that the remelting/resolidification process which is caused by both the temperature gradient zone melting(TGZM)and Gibbs−Thomson(G−T)effects can take place on secondary dendrites.Besides,the intersection angle between the primary dendrite stem and secondary branch(θ)is found to increase fromπ/3 toπ/2 as the solidification proceeds.This is the morphological feature of the HO transformation,which can change the diffusion distance of the remelting/resolidification process.Thus,a diffusion-based analytical model is established to describe this process through the specific surface area(S_(V))of dendrites.The theoretical prediction demonstrates that the remelting/resolidification process is restricted when the HO transformation occurs during peritectic solidification.In addition,the slope of the prediction curves is changed,indicating the variation of the local remelting/resolidification rates.展开更多
