Rapeseed cake and w...Field measurements were made from June 2001 to May 2002 to evaluate the e?ect of crop residue application and temperature on CO2, CH4, and N2O emissions within an entire rice-wheat rotation season. Rapeseed cake and wheat straw were incorporated into the soil at a rate of 2.25 t hm?2 when the rice crop was transplanted in June 2001. Compared with the control, the incorporation of rapeseed cake enhanced the emissions of CO2, CH4, and N2O in the rice-growing season by 12.3%, 252.3%, and 17.5%, respectively, while no further e?ect was held on the emissions of CO2 and N2O in the following wheat- growing season. The incorporation of wheat straw enhanced the emissions of CO2 and CH4 by 7.1% and 249.6%, respectively, but reduced the N2O emission by 18.8% in the rice-growing season. Signi?cant reductions of 17.8% for the CO2 and of 12.9% for the N2O emission were observed in the following wheat- growing season. A positive correlation existed between the emissions of N2O and CO2 (R2 = 0.445,n = 73,p < 0.001) from the rice-growing season when N2O was emitted. A trade-o? relationship between the emissions of CH4 and N2O was found in the rice-growing season. The CH4 emission was signi?cantly correlated with the CO2 emission for the period from rice transplantation to ?eld drainage, but not for the entire rice-growing season. In addition, air temperature was found to regulate the CO2 emissions from the non-waterlogged period over the entire rice-wheat rotation season and the N2O emissions from the non- waterlogged period of the rice-growing season, which can be quantitatively described by an exponential function. The temperature coe?cient (Q10) was then evaluated to be 2.3±0.2 for the CO2 emission and 3.9±0.4 for the N2O emission, respectively.展开更多

The hepatocytes in normal rats and those with bile duct ligati...The modulatory role of bcl 2 gene in hepatocellular apoptosis of rats with glycochenodeoxycholate (GCDC) induced obstructive jaundice was investigated. The hepatocytes in normal rats and those with bile duct ligation for 7 days, 14 days and 21 days were isolated and obtained by in situ collagenase perfusion and primary culture. The expression of bcl 2 mRNA in the hepatocytes was detected by RT PCR. Primary culture was performed on the hepatocytes from normal rats and those with bile duct ligation for 14 days. 100 μmol/L GCDC was added to the hepatocytes for incubation for 24 h. The hepatocellular apoptotic ratio was measured by using FCM and hepatocellular apoptosis detected in situ by using TUNEL technique. Results showed that the expression of bcl 2 mRNA was not detectable in the hepatocytes of normal rats by RT PCR technique, while detectable in the hepatocytes of those with bile duct ligation (BDL) for 7, 14 and 21 days. Hepatocellular apoptosis in the BDL group was obviously decreased as compared with normal control group after addition of 100 μmol/L GCDC to the cells for 24 h. It was concluded that the hepatocytes in the BDL rats expressed bcl 2. During obstructive jaundice, expression of bcl 2 from the hepatocytes can inhibit the bile salt induced hepatocellular apoptosis.展开更多

There are 3 capacitive sensors in the measuring system, the outputs of which are with a linear relation to the three phase voltages. This linear relation is presented with a factorial matrix. Because each capacitive sensor is coupled with the electric field of three phases (A, B, and C), the electric coupling coefficients are introduced. In order to determine the matrix of electric coupling coefficients, the numerical calculation method can be used. From the discussion on two types of three-phase enclosed GIS bus, i.e. standard arrangement and biased arrangement, the dominant electric coupling coefficients are named, which can be simply and approximately calculated by an analytic expression. Finally, as an example, the waveforms of VFT phase voltage generated on a three-phase enclosed GIS bus model are displayed. When a capacitive sensor is located at the ’shortest point’ of phase A (or B, or C), the VFT phase voltage V A (or V B, or V C) can almost be measured by that capacitive sensor alone.展开更多

On Chinese icebreaker Xuelong, we made many high resolution ozonesonds measurements. During the period from August 18 to 24, a synoptic scale observation was taken at 75°N, 160°W. Using the above data, together with TOMS total ozone and NCEP circulation data, we showed that atmospheric ozone amount experienced a high low high variation, with low high low tropopause altitude. Correlation analysis showed a close relation between the total ozone and ozone below 13 km, while the variation of the maximum concentration at about 20 km didn't show any relation to the column ozone. In 500 hPa height maps, there was also the weak strong weak southwesterly pattern. Therefore we suggested that the synoptic system might be responsible to a low ozone advection during this ozone variation.展开更多

A new type of wave maker signal ...The generation of low frequency waves by a single or double wave groups incident upon two Plane beaches with the slope of 1/40 and 1/100 is investigated experimentally and numerically. A new type of wave maker signal is used to generate the groups, allowing the bound long wave (set-down) to be included in the group. The experiments show that the low frequency wave is generated during breaking and propagation to the shoreline of the wave group. This process of generation and propagation of low frequency waves is simulated numerically by solving the short-wave averaged mass and momentum conservation equations. The computed and measured results are in good agreement. The mechanism of generation of low frequency waves in the surf zone is examined and discussed.展开更多

So the source based rate distribution algorithms cannot work properly. We designed a source detection algorithm to enable the switch to know the number of sources and the cell rate of each source in a multipoint to point VC. These information is very important for the source based rate distribution algorithm. In this two_part paper, a thorough investigation is made on Fourier expansions with irreducible tensorial coefficients for orientation distribution functions (ODFs) and crystal orientation distribution functions (CODF...In this two_part paper, a thorough investigation is made on Fourier expansions with irreducible tensorial coefficients for orientation distribution functions (ODFs) and crystal orientation distribution functions (CODFs), which are scalar functions defined on the unit sphere and the rotation group, respectively. Recently it has been becoming clearer and clearer that concepts of ODF and CODF play a dominant role in various micromechanically_based approaches to mechanical and physical properties of heterogeneous materials. The theory of group representations shows that a square integrable ODF can be expanded as an absolutely convergent Fourier series of spherical harmonics and these spherical harmonics can further be expressed in terms of irreducible tensors. The fundamental importance of such irreducible tensorial coefficients is that they characterize the macroscopic or overall effect of the orientation distribution of the size, shape, phase, position of the material constitutions and defects. In Part (Ⅰ), the investigation about the irreducible tensorial Fourier expansions of ODFs defined on the N_dimensional (N_D) unit sphere is carried out. Attention is particularly paid to constructing simple expressions for 2_ and 3_D irreducible tensors of any orders in accordance with the convenience of arriving at their restricted forms imposed by various point_group (the synonym of subgroup of the full orthogonal group) symmetries. In the continued work -Part (Ⅱ), the explicit expression for the irreducible tensorial expansions of CODFs is established. The cell surface expression and functional status of the CD95/Fas antigen on primitive hematopoietic progenitors isolated from human cord blood (CB) were studied. The CD34 + cells freshly isolated from CB displayed ...The cell surface expression and functional status of the CD95/Fas antigen on primitive hematopoietic progenitors isolated from human cord blood (CB) were studied. The CD34 + cells freshly isolated from CB displayed low CD95 expression. The combinations of cytokines such as SCF+FL could up regulate the expression of CD95 in vitro culture and tumor necrosis factor α (TNF α) and interon γ (IFN γ) further increased the CD95 expression induced by positive cytokines. The functional status of CD95 mediated apoptosis were analyzed by incubation of CD34 +CB cells in the presence of anti CD95 monoclonal antibodies (McAbs). The effects of anti CD95 McAbs were measured by viable cell counting, flow cytometry, LTIC and CFU C assays. A decrease of viable cells, CFU C and LTIC numbers were observed in the presence of anti CD95 McAbs and TNF α or IFN γ. However, growth factor deprivation or the early acting cytokine such as SCF and FL cross linking to CD95 caused low apoptosis of CD34 + cells. The correlation of increased intracytoplasmic levels of bcl 2 and the presence of CD95 on fresh CB CD34 + cells suggested that bcl 2 might be involved in protecting against CD95 mediated apoptosis of CB CD34 + cells.展开更多
