With the advent of the information security era,it is necessary to guarantee the privacy,accuracy,and dependable transfer of pictures.This study presents a new approach to the encryption and compression of color image...With the advent of the information security era,it is necessary to guarantee the privacy,accuracy,and dependable transfer of pictures.This study presents a new approach to the encryption and compression of color images.It is predicated on 2D compressed sensing(CS)and the hyperchaotic system.First,an optimized Arnold scrambling algorithm is applied to the initial color images to ensure strong security.Then,the processed images are con-currently encrypted and compressed using 2D CS.Among them,chaotic sequences replace traditional random measurement matrices to increase the system’s security.Third,the processed images are re-encrypted using a combination of permutation and diffusion algorithms.In addition,the 2D projected gradient with an embedding decryption(2DPG-ED)algorithm is used to reconstruct images.Compared with the traditional reconstruction algorithm,the 2DPG-ED algorithm can improve security and reduce computational complexity.Furthermore,it has better robustness.The experimental outcome and the performance analysis indicate that this algorithm can withstand malicious attacks and prove the method is effective.展开更多

Correct diagnostic and prompt treatment of anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis remains a serious clinical challenge due to its unspecific manifestations and varying response to treatments. When we use traditional computer vision Inspection technology to locate the vehicles,we find that the results were unsatisfactory,because of the existence of diversified scenes and uncertainty.So,we present a new meth...When we use traditional computer vision Inspection technology to locate the vehicles,we find that the results were unsatisfactory,because of the existence of diversified scenes and uncertainty.So,we present a new method based on improved SSD model.We adopt ResNet101 to enhance the feature extraction ability of algorithm model instead of the VGG16 used by the classic model.Meanwhile,the new method optimizes the loss function,such as the loss function of predicted offset,and makes the loss function drop more smoothly near zero points.In addition,the new method improves cross entropy loss function of category prediction,decreases the loss when the probability of positive prediction is high effectively,and increases the speed of training.In this paper,VOC2012 data set is used for experiment.The results show that this method improves average accuracy of detection and reduces the training time of the model.展开更多
ACCRETION OF SMBHs IN QUASARS Strong observational evidence accumulated since the end of the last century indicates that the vastmajority of galaxies host at their centers a black hole with a mass range of M_(SMBH)10...ACCRETION OF SMBHs IN QUASARS Strong observational evidence accumulated since the end of the last century indicates that the vastmajority of galaxies host at their centers a black hole with a mass range of M_(SMBH)10^(6)-10^(10) M_(⊙)(solar mass).Going back in time,these super-massive black holes(SMBHs)should grow from seed black holes possibly with M_(seed)10^(2)-10^(5) M_(⊙),“activated”mainly by accretion of the interstellar medium in their host galaxies.During their fast growing phase,such SMBHsmanifest themselves as quasars,producing asmuch as 104 times the luminosity of a typical galaxy,such as the Milky Way.Most of the observed energy is emitted by a hot accretion disk around the SMBH,with a radius of several light days,where the gravitational energy of the inspiralling gas is converted into thermal energy.Considering the energy budget,an enormous amount of the fueling gas,at up to several tens M_(⊙)=year,is expected to be transported into the accretion disk and be consumed,at last,from the galactic environment at a scale of 105 light years or more from the center.展开更多

The detection of an electromagnetic signal from a GW source is the critical ...The LIGO detection of gravitational waves(GW) from merging black holes in 2015 marked the beginning of a new era in observational astronomy. The detection of an electromagnetic signal from a GW source is the critical next step to explore in detail the physics involved. The Antarctic Survey Telescopes(AST3),located at Dome A, Antarctica, is uniquely situated for rapid response time-domain astronomy with its continuous night-time coverage during the austral winter. We report optical observations of the GW source(GW 170817) in the nearby galaxy NGC 4993 using AST3. The data show a rapidly fading transient at around 1 day after the GW trigger, with the i-band magnitude declining from 17:23 ± 0:13 magnitude to 17:72 ± 0:09 magnitude in ~1:8 h. The brightness and time evolution of the optical transient associated with GW 170817 are broadly consistent with the predictions of models involving merging binary neutron stars. We infer from our data that the merging process ejected about ~10^(-2) solar mass of radioactive material at a speed of up to 30% the speed of light.展开更多

Dome A a...Transiting extrasolar planets(exoplanets),especially those orbiting bright stars, are desired for study of the diversity of planetary compositions, internal structures and atmospheres beyond our solar system. Dome A at Antarctica is a promising site for planetary transit surveys,where the continuous darkness and the large clear-sky fraction in the winter months greatly enhance the detection efficiency. The Chinese Small Telescope ARray and the Antarctic Survey Telescopes are the first facilities that have been operated at Dome A for use in exoplanet surveys. To increase the sky coverage, a low-temperature-resistant wide-field robotic telescope, named the bright star survey telescope(BSST), has been developed to join the ongoing planetary transit survey in Antarctica. The BSST has an aperture size of 300 mm and is equipped with a largeframe 4K×4K CCD camera to receive starlight from a 3.°4×3.°4 field of view. The BSST was operated at Lijiang observatory in April and May 2015 for a test run.Photometric precision of 3.5 mmag was achieved for stars with V~11 mag using 75 s exposures. The transiting events of two Jupiter-size exoplanets, HAT-P-3b and HATP-12 b, were observed on May 10 and May 20, 2015,respectively.展开更多
Protein-protein interactions(PPIs)are of great importance to understand genetic mechanisms,delineate disease pathogenesis,and guide drug design.With the increase of PPI data and development of machine learning technol...Protein-protein interactions(PPIs)are of great importance to understand genetic mechanisms,delineate disease pathogenesis,and guide drug design.With the increase of PPI data and development of machine learning technologies,prediction and identification of PPIs have become a research hotspot in proteomics.In this study,we propose a new prediction pipeline for PPIs based on gradient tree boosting(GTB).First,the initial feature vector is extracted by fusing pseudo amino acid composition(Pse AAC),pseudo position-specific scoring matrix(Pse PSSM),reduced sequence and index-vectors(RSIV),and autocorrelation descriptor(AD).Second,to remove redundancy and noise,we employ L1-regularized logistic regression(L1-RLR)to select an optimal feature subset.Finally,GTB-PPI model is constructed.Five-fold cross-validation showed that GTB-PPI achieved the accuracies of 95.15% and 90.47% on Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Helicobacter pylori datasets,respectively.In addition,GTB-PPI could be applied to predict the independent test datasets for Caenorhabditis elegans,Escherichia coli,Homo sapiens,and Mus musculus,the one-core PPI network for CD9,and the crossover PPI network for the Wnt-related signaling pathways.The results show that GTB-PPI can significantly improve accuracy of PPI prediction.The code and datasets of GTB-PPI can be downloaded from https://github.com/QUST-AIBBDRC/GTB-PPI/.展开更多
Objective:To study the relationship between sleep disturbances and symptoms in patients with Parkinson’s disease(PD).Methods:The Parkinson’s Disease Sleep Scale-Chinese Version(PDSS-CV)was used to evaluate the sleep...Objective:To study the relationship between sleep disturbances and symptoms in patients with Parkinson’s disease(PD).Methods:The Parkinson’s Disease Sleep Scale-Chinese Version(PDSS-CV)was used to evaluate the sleep disturbances of PD patients in a cross sectional study.The Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS)parts II-IV,and the Hoehn&Yahr(H&Y)stage were used to determine the level of motor function in PD and the severity of PD.The Spearman correlation and a multiple regression analysis were used to identify the relationship between sleep disturbances and symptoms of PD.The quantities derived from the UPDRS and the H&Y stage and disease duration were compared between groups of patients either with or without sleep disturbances identified by the PDSS.This study was conducted from December 2011 to March 2012 at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University,in Guangzhou.Results:A total of 136 PD patients were included in this study.The overall total PDSS score in PD patients was 107.58±23.35 points(range:30–146).There were significant differences in the disease duration,the H&Y stage,and the UPDRS section subscores between groups of patients either with or without sleep disturbances(Kruskal-Wallis Test,p<0.05).There were significant negative correlations between PDSS scores and the UPDRS subscores,the H&Y stage and the disease duration(Spearman correlation,p<0.05).The multiple regression analysis indicated that sleep disturbances identified by the PDSS were only associated with daily life activity,tremor intensity and clinical fluctuation(R2=0.22,F(3,132)=12.4,p<0.001).The correlations were also significant when the contribution of the other two factors was excluded using partial correlations.Conclusions:The level of daily life activity and the occurrences of tremor and clinical fluctuation are likely to be important factors that lead to PD patients’sleep disturbances.This study may elucidate an important clue for the relationship between sleep disturbances and PD symptoms.展开更多
