With the evolution of the sixth generation(6G)mobile communication technology,ample attention has gone to the integrated terrestrial-satellite networks.This paper notes that four typical application scenarios of integrated terrestrial-satellite networks are integrated into ultra dense satellite-enabled 6G networks architecture.Then the subchannel and power allocation schemes for the downlink of the ultra dense satellite-enabled 6G heterogeneous networks are introduced.Satellite mobile edge computing(SMEC)with edge caching in three-layer heterogeneous networks serves to reduce the link traffic of networks.Furthermore,a scheme for interference management is presented,involving quality-of-service(QoS)and co-tier/cross-tier interference constraints.The simulation results show that the proposed schemes can significantly increase the total capacity of ultra dense satellite-enabled 6G heterogeneous networks. 展开更多

CMT(concurrent multipath transfer) can increase throughput and transmission efficiency in multihomed networks. However, it is still an important challenge about distributing traffic adaptively into multiple access networks. Based on LV(Lotka.Volterra) model, we propose an adaptive traffic distribution scheme. In the scheme, two competition modes are concluded, multiple S.D(source.destination) streams competition for bandwidth of one path and multipath competition for traffic between each multihomed S.D host pair. Actually, each access network can establish a path for S.D pairs. So, in the first mode, each path is analogous to a predator, and overall traffic in a multihomed host is analogous to prey. Then, each path has to compete for the traffic by path information, e.g., bandwidth and congestion level. In the other one, if several S.D pairs pass through a shared path simultaneously, they will compete for bandwidth of the path. Here, each S.D pair is analogous to a predator, and the bandwidth of the common path is analogous to the prey. At last, compared with other three schemes, uniform traffic distribution, greedy path selection, random path selection in OPNET simulator, the proposed scheme can perform better onreducing file transmission time and increasing network throughput in FTP service. 展开更多

A novel plasmonic polarization filter based on the diamond-shape photonic crystal fiber(PCF) is proposed. The resonant coupling characteristics of the PCF polarization filter are investigated by the full-vector finite-element method. By optimizing the geometric parameters of the PCF, when the fiber length is 5 mm, the polarization filter has a bandwidth of 990 nm and an extinction ratio(ER) of lower than -20 dB. Moreover, a single wavelength polarization filter can also be achieved, along with an ER of -279.78 dB at wavelength 1.55 μm. It is believed that the proposed PCF polarization filter will be very useful in laser and optical communication systems. 展开更多

Therefore, we deploy a low index rod and rectangle trench in the middle of two neighboring cores to reduce κ so that the overlap of electric field distribution can be suppressed. We also propose approximate analytical solution(AAS) for κ of two crosstalk suppression models, which are two cores with one low index rod deployed in the middle and two cores with one low index rectangle trench deployed in the middle. We then do some modification for the results obtained by AAS and the modified results are proved to agree well with that obtained by finite element method(FEM). Therefore, we can use the modified AAS to get inter-core crosstalk for abovementioned two models quickly. 展开更多

In this paper, we consider the frequency offset estimation for Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OF-DMA) uplink (UL) transmissions. We first analyze the negative effect of Multi-Access-Interference (MAI) on OFDMA UL, and then propose two interference reduction/elimination methods, i.e., the Reduced-Rank-Projector (RRP) and Shift-Sampling-Projector (SSP) methods, to eliminate/reduce the heavy MAI due to the frequency offsets. Finally, we propose a new training sequence group named the Round-Robin Training Sequence Group (RRTSG), which has a high interference mitigation capabilities for OFDMA UL transmission. The Cramer-Rao Lower Bound (CRLB) for an unbiased frequency offset estimator in a Multiple Access (MA) system is also derived. Numerical results show that the proposed methods are suitable to eliminate/mitigate the effect of the frequency offset on OFDMA UL transmission. 展开更多
