Development of welding technique for petrochemical industry in China

The characteristics of petro-chemical industry production process are high-temperature, high-pressure, inflammability, explosiveness, deep cooling and corrosion. The engineering construction of petro-chemical industry requires the welding technologies to have multi-technology, high quality and strict control for multi-steel and alloy variety. This paper discusses the key equipment, the welding technologies of special materials, the technical methods and the corresponding soft technical control and other achievements in petro-chemical engineering construction, and reveals its present situation and the aims of development.
