Preface

In order to promote communication and cooperation among regional societies of radiation chemistry, representatives from China,Japan,and India signed an Agreement in October of 2004 in Xi'an (China) to hold a symposium every two years in these three nations.The symposium is named as Asia-Pacific Symposium on Radiation Chemistry (APSRC).This can be considered as the extension of China-Japan bilateral symposium on radiation chemistry,which ended in November of 1999 in Kyoto,Japan.The first symposium,APSRC 2006,was held during September 17-21,2006,in Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The journal is devoted to all aspects of nuclear science and technology including theories, experiments and applications, as well as its interdisciplinary studies in materials, life, agriculture, earth, environment sciences, etc. A special interest
