近日．由（（科学中国人》杂志社主办的“科学中国人（2011）年度人物“评选活动在北京正式启动。目前．已有近百位杰出科技工作者经过各相关部门推荐，入围候选名单。在未来一段时间里，名单还将不断丰实。科学中国人年度人物评选活动始于2002年．每年评选一次。评选活动以”创新力、转化力、责任感”为评选标准，共分五个步骤：征集候选人（推荐和自荐）、专家评审小组评出年度人物提名人、大众网络投票、专家评审小组最终确定获奖人数和名单、举办颁奖典礼。除评选年度人物奖外．每届还将评选出特别奖项．包括”终身成就奖”和”杰出青年科学家奖”等，所有获奖名单都将在颁奖典礼现场进行公布。

2016 China Pingyao International Photography Festival Closes

On September 21st, the 2016 China Pingyao International Photography Festival held its closing ceremony. A total of 56 Chinese and overseas photographers were awarded. The 92-year-old Chinese photographer Hou Bo was awarded the Lifetime Achievement award, the most important award of this photography festival. Swiss photographer Niels Ackermann was one of the award-winning overseas photographers.
