Cognitive Model of the Journalist on Journalism under Newspaper Industry Transformation Period

In this paper, we conduct research on cognitive model of the journalist on journalism under newspaper industry transformation period. “Journalism” is the logical starting point of theoretical journalism system that is the most abstract, general concept of journalism. Therefore, analyzing the connotation and the essence of “news activities” has special significance and value to the whole journalism, that especially theoretical journalism. All of these activities, together with the news dissemination activities as the core of the news activities, are the broad news activities. From the perspective of journalism, these activities constitute the main object of the study of journalism, news on different areas of activity, form different areas or different branches of journalism. For this, the paper proposes the cognitive model of the journalist on the journalism under newspaper industry transformation period that will promote the further development.

The Theory and Practice of Research-and-Discussion Teaching --Taking the Animation Teaching as an Example

Along with the support policy for the development of domestic animation by State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of The People＇s Republic of China and local governments, the domestic animation industry has wide development prospects. According to statistics, there are more than 500 colleges and universities opening animation specialty and more than thousands of universities having related courses. But in recent years, there has been a contradictory phenomenon. On one hand, it is really hard for large numbers of graduates to find jobs related to animation. On the other hand, it is difficult for domestic animation enterprises to recruit outstanding animation talents. The main reason for this phenomenon is that the animation education in colleges and universities can not satisfy the demand from market and can not meet the requirements of the animation industry development in china.So we have the necessity to discuss the suitable education mode for animation development.

Analysis on Development of Basic English Extensive Reading System and the Applications on the Reading Teaching of Sports News

This paper conducts the analysis on development of the basic English extensive reading system and the applications on the reading teaching of sports news. Extensive reading of text or material is dead and cannot provide a teaching model. How to talk about what to proceed from reality, according to the principle of gradual and orderly, according to the level of the students and the ability to accept. English newspapers as fresh language, popular novel, close to the life of a corpus source that is the college English teaching has always attached importance to the reference materials. According to the rhetorical characteristics of English newspapers, we set the course, it is best to learn some rhetorical knowledge after the students to open the course, English majors can learn after the rhetoric can also be extended as the rhetoric class and homework. This paper proposes the new idea of dealing with mentioned issues that will promote the development of reading teaching of sports news.

Orientalism, ＂Yellow Peril,＂ and the ＂New Yellow Journalism

In this essay, I take the recent publication of several texts examining the historical and contemporary phenomena of Sinophobia, Orientalism, and Sinologism as an opening for theorizing underlying and related issues including pervasive anti-China biases in Western journalism and China＇s position therein. In addition to illustrating how the concepts of Orientalism arise from Western historical and epistemological foundations, I theorize what I call a ＂new yellow journalism＂ that has grown in tandem with ＂China＇s rise＂ and the threat this indicates to many Western observers, and how this threat and others like it have been met in the age of ＂new imperialism.＂ I compare this new phenomenon with its historical antecedents, ＂yellow journalism＂ and America＇s emergence as a imperialism power with the Spanish-American War （1898）, and note several key insights offered by recent critical analyses of that period, which together suggest a confluence of different players, including policymakers, new media business models, and what I describe as a type of public ＂corporatism＂ in which citizens, particularly Americans, function effectively as shareholders in maintaining hegemonic if not imperialist power.
