Enlightenment of Advanced Foreign Green Planning Researches for the Regional Greenway Network Planning of the Pearl River Delta

Since the programmatic document for the greenway construction in 9 cities of the Pear River Delta-Greenway Network Master Planning Outline for the Pearl River Delta was issued, greenway construction has been launched in all regions. This study proposed background of greenway study and problems in current greenway construction, analyzed the advanced overseas cases about networking and ecologicalization of greenways, and summarized their successful experience and their enlightenment for domestic greenway planning. By analyzing greenway construction in the United States in an all-around way, especially the typical greenway planning of Auckland Isthmus in New Zealand, it was proposed that sustainable development should be taken as the guiding ideology for greenway network planning of the Pearl River Delta, ecology-based planning adopted, ecological control and guidance of greenway defined, and high technology applied to create a scientific network.

Global Research Trends Related to CO_2 Emissions and Their Enlightenment to China

Given the growing awareness of the likely catastrophic impacts of climate change and close association of climate change with global emissions of greenhouse gases （of which carbon dioxide is more prominent） , considerable research efforts have been devoted to the analysis of carbon dioxide （CO2） emissions and its relationship to sustainable development. Now GHG reduction programs have been coming into effect in many developed coun- tries that have more responsibility for historical CO2 emissions, and the studies have become mature. First, the GHG emissions accounting system is more all-inclusive and the methods are more rational with the effort of IPCC from 1995 and all other research- ers related. Second, the responsibility allocation is more rational and fair. Along with the clarity of ＂carbon transfer＂ and ＂carbon leakage＂, the perspective and methodology for allocating regional COz emissions responsibility is turning from production base to consumption base. Third, the decomposition method has become more mature and more complex. For example, the decomposition formulas are including KAYA expression and input-output expres- sion and the decomposition techniques are developed from index analysis to simple average divisia and then adaptive-weighting divisia. Fourth, projection models have become more integrated and long-term. The top-down model and bottom-up model are both inter-embedded and synergetic. Trends above give some advice for the research on CO2 in China, such as emissions factors database construction, deeper-going research on emissions responsibility and structure analysis, promotion of modeling technology and technology-environment database.

The Planning Management Experience and Enlightenment of the Cityscape Inheritance of the Ancient City of Yangzhou

China is currently facing the problem of large-scale destruction of the overall cityscape brought about by the rapid development of the city. The optimization of urban stocks and the improvement of urban quality have become the necessary paths for major cities to improve their urban soft power and obtain secondary economic growth. Since experiencing a series of food safety incidents,the EU has gradually improved its food safety supervision system and has developed the most comprehensive and mature food safety supervision system in the world. On the basis of sorting out the characteristics of EU's food safety supervision system,the development direction of China's food safety supervision system is proposed from four aspects: supervisor,legal system,law enforcement ability and safety standards.

In recent years, flower borders have been widely used in urban parks and road landscape in China, and have gradually become a hot spot in garden design. However, China's flower border design is still in the primary stage, and the practical application effect is not good. This study sorted out the evolution, development reasons, and design features of flower borders in British gardens, drew lessons from British flower border design in terms of planting form, plant configuration, facade design, color matching, and space artistic conception, and proposed inspiration for the design of Chinese flower borders, so as to enrich flower border design in China.

Urban Planning History of Shenzhen City since 1979 and Its Enlightenment

Wangfuzhi’s View of Classical Enlightenment

In recent years,with the prevailing of Chinese traditional culture,the related“classic education(经典教育jingdianjiaoyu)”debate ensued.Some scholars strongly oppose the“classical education”and think that make children memorize mechanicallyand forced recite,without understand about Confucian classes deviate from the modern“children’s center-based education”and“ideas violate scientific”and to be“an ancient and retrogression”,“ignorance of cultural conservatism”.They advocating that“things other than children’s lives cannot be forcibly entered into the lives of children,”otherwise it will be“a killing of childhood innocence and stifling the lives of children”,and imprisonment of children’s life.To sum up this fierce argument,the main issues of debate are generally not out of the following four aspects:(1)why do we need classic enlightenment?(2)the purpose and utility of the classic enlightenment?(3)the content and methods of classic enlightenment?(4)the timing of the classic enlightenment?In response to these four points of view,Mr.Wangfuzhi,who was 400 years ago,also put forward his own ideas.This article is not intended to participate in this controversy.Instead,it wants to understand Wangfuzhi’s“ideas of classical enlightenment”to understand how the ancients advocated these four issues.For modern people’s reference.
