When it develops into severe pancreatitis, its prognosis is poor. Therefore, early assessment of the degree of inflammatory response plays a crucial role in the treatment plan and prognosis of patients. More and more studies have shown that the levels of D-dimer (D-D), angiotensin-2 (Ang-2), phosphate, heparin-binding protein (HBP), retinol-binding protein-4 (RBP4), and osteoblastic protein (OPN) are closely related to the severity of acute pan-creatitis and can be used as effective indicators for early assessment of AP. In this paper, the research progress of the above indicators in assessing the severity of AP is summarized.展开更多

The etiology and pathogenesis of androgenic alopecia are not clear, but may be related to heredity and androgen metabolism. Currently, minoxidil and finasteride are the only two drugs approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for AGA treatment, other treatments include oral minoxidil, hair transplantation, low energy laser therapy (LLLT), platelet-rich plasma (PRP), Chinese medicine microneedles, and combination therapy. With the development of medicine and science, we have ushered in the era of biologics and targeted therapy. In recent years, a variety of signaling pathways for androgenic alopecia have been found, which may provide a basis for targeted therapy for androgenic alopecia.展开更多

文摘BACKGROUND Uridine diphosphate glucuronosyltransferase 1A1(UGT1A1)plays a crucial role in metabolizing and detoxifying endogenous and exogenous substances. However, its contribution to the progression of liver damage remains unclear.AIM To determine the role and mechanism of UGT1A1 in liver damage progression.METHODS We investigated the relationship between UGT1A1 expression and liver injury through clinical research.Additionally, the impact and mechanism of UGT1A1 on the progression of liver injury was analyzed through a mouse model study.RESULTS Patients with UGT1A1 gene mutations showed varying degrees of liver damage, while patients with acute-onchronic liver failure(ACLF)exhibited relatively reduced levels of UGT1A1 protein in the liver as compared to patients with chronic hepatitis. This suggests that low UGT1A1 levels may be associated with the progression of liver damage. In mouse models of liver injury induced by carbon tetrachloride(CCl_(4))and concanavalin A(ConA),the hepatic levels of UGT1A1 protein were found to be increased. In mice with lipopolysaccharide or liver steatosis-mediated liver-injury progression, the hepatic protein levels of UGT1A1 were decreased, which is consistent with the observations in patients with ACLF.UGT1A1 knockout exacerbated CCl_(4)-and ConA-induced liver injury, hepatocyte apoptosis and necroptosis in mice, intensified hepatocyte endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress and oxidative stress, and disrupted lipid metabolism.CONCLUSION UGT1A1 is upregulated as a compensatory response during liver injury, and interference with this upregulation process may worsen liver injury.UGT1A1 reduces ER stress, oxidative stress, and lipid metabolism disorder, thereby mitigating hepatocyte apoptosis and necroptosis.

文摘Objective:This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of aromatherapy with lavender essential oil compared to progressive muscle relaxation(PMR)on anxiety and vital signs of patients under spinal anesthesia.Materials and Methods:This clinical trial was conducted on 120 spinal anesthesia candidates who were randomly assigned into three groups of 40 including control,PMR(Jacobsen group),and aromatherapy. The state-trait anxiety inventory was completed on surgery day and 15 min after the end of the intervention by the samples of all three groups, and at the same time as completing the questionnaire, vital signs were also measured and recorded. Results:The mean score of anxiety after intervention was lower than that before the intervention in the aromatherapy group(P<0.001).The mean score of anxiety in the aromatherapy group was significantly lower than that in the Jacobsen group(P<0.001).Moreover,data analysis showed a significant decrease in the mean arterial blood pressure scores of the PMR(P=008)and aromatherapy(P<0.001)groups and a statistically significant increase in the mean heart rate scores in the control group(P=0.002).Conclusion:The use of aromatherapy with lavender is more effective than PMR therapy in reducing the anxiety level of patients undergoing spinal anesthesia.Due to the high level of anxiety and its serious effects on the patient’s hemodynamics, aromatherapy with lavender can be used as an easy and cheap method to reduce anxiety in operation rooms.

文摘Nocturnal enuresis(NE)is a common disease in children, commonly known as bedwetting. The International Children's Continence Society(ICCS)defines intermittent urinary incontinence during nighttime sleep in children aged 5 and above as enuresis.Enuresis can be divided into two types:primary nocturnal enuresis(PNE)and secondary nocturnal enuresis(SNE).PNE refers to nocturnal urinary control ability that has never been achieved for more than 6 months in children aged 5 and above with enuresis;SNE refers to the recurrence of enuresis symptoms after a period of more than 6 months of continuous nocturnal urinary control ability.SNE is relatively rare in clinical practice and is often caused by sudden stress events or other diseases such as snoring. Its pathogenesis and treatment are different from PNE.PNE is a multifactorial disease related to genetics, and its pathogenesis is not fully understood. There are not many research and review articles on its pathogenesis. In recent years, there has been significant progress in the epidemiology and pathogenesis of PNE.The following is a summary.
文摘Iron is an important element that maintains the normal operation of the body.It not only participates in various physiological reactions as a component of various enzymes, but also is an indispensable component in the synthesis of hemoglobin(Hb)and myoglobin, which transport oxygen.About two-thirds of the iron in the body is stored in the Hb of red blood cells, with a small amount present in myoglobin in muscle tissue and enzymes required for various metabolic reactions. The remaining amount is mostly in the form of ferritin as a mobilized iron reserve. When dietary iron intake is limited and the stored iron in the body is insufficient or depleted, iron deficiency occurs.Iron deficiency can be further divided into three stages based on their severity, namely iron deficiency(ID),iron deficiency erythropoiesis(IDE),and iron deficiency anemia(IDA).This study aims to explore the prevalence, diagnosis and differentiation, influencing factors, and preventive interventions of iron deficiency.
