On the Innovation of Marketing Channel Modes of China's Seed Industry

In China,the seed industry has fierce competition. The situation of homogeneous management and homogeneous products is serious. A key problem is simple and outmoded marketing channel of seed. It threatens sustainable development of seed enterprises. At present,the two-level distribution channel of seed industry has problems of similarity,low access threshold,and unfair benefit distribution,and thus urgently needs innovation. The innovation of distribution channel is inevitable requirement for promoting reorganization of China's seed industry and building of new order,is necessary weapon for dealing with trans-national seed industry competition,is essential measure for lifting the overall service level of seed industry,and is also essential means for conforming to stage development of China's agriculture. The innovation of seed marketing channel should consider changes of future agricultural development,deep-level demand of industrial market and services,scitech development level,fair distribution of industrial profit,and differentiated competition. It is recommended that channel innovation should follow the flat principle,have new and unique conception,give full play connection advantage of marginal industry,realize complementary advantages and mutual promotion,strengthen service awareness,combine with agricultural development trend,and seek sci-tech innovation of channel carrier- variety.

Hierarchical Training Mode for Market Demand Oriented Outstanding Seed Industry Talents

Market Trend and Development Strategies for Seed Industry in Hubei Province

Crop seed industry is a national strategic and basic core industry,which is the foundation to promote the long-term stable development of agriculture and guarantee the national food security. Hubei is a major agricultural province in central China,and the healthy development of Hubei seed industry plays an important supporting role for the stability and prosperity of the national seed industry. Based on analyzing the scale and characteristics of Hubei seed demand,the market value of Hubei commercial seed is evaluated,the problems of Hubei seed industrial development are discussed,and some recommendations are put forward to strengthen development of Hubei seed industry.

Malaysia and the Factors that Influence Its Seed Industry: Natural Resources, Policies, Market and Fundings

Malaysia, situated in Southeast Asia, is a relatively small country of 33 million hectares of land, and with a total cultivable area estimated in 14.2 million ha. However, in 2013, only 53% of it was cultivated. Remarkably enough, in 2012, 67% of the whole land used under agriculture was destined for oil palm plantations. Likewise, Malaysia has been recognized as one of the twelve mega-diversity countries of the world, thanks to its rich variety of species and diverse number of ecosystems. Furthermore, as Malaysia lies in the equatorial zone, the average temperature throughout the entire year is 26 °C; which is controlled by the northeast and southwest monsoons, and consequently, receiving around 2,000 mm to 2,500 mm of rainfall annually. In addition, Malaysia has an annual average of 990 billion m3 of water resources inside the entire territory. Moreover, as Malaysia realized the importance of shifting into a knowledge-based economy, it's now really focused on the development of human and intellectual capital in order to produce adequate supply. In that way, under the Malaysia Education Blueprint from 2013 to 2015, a sum of RM 41.3 billion is expected to be allocated in 2016, to improve the quality of education. Conjointly, the agriculture in Malaysia is a fundamental piece in the country's economy, contributing to the National Gross Domestic Product (GDP), as in 2013 this sector employed more than 1.6 million people. On the other hand, in Malaysia two distinct Agricultural Policies have been established to give strategic direction to the agricultural sector: The Policy before Independence (1948-1957) and The Policy after the independence (1957-2020) (which is as well, formed by several policies). In conjunction, as Malaysia aspires to become a developed country, it nourishes its research culture; being the public sector an important contributor for the agricultural research funding. Notwithstanding, a substantial factor that has contributed in the development of the seed industry in Malaysia, is the fact of having the “Legislation” in place; with the establishment of the Protection of New Plant Varieties (PNPV) Act, which came into force in October of 2008. To finalize, Malaysia is now certainly facing limitations towards the development of the seed industry, which are: lack of new local varieties, lack of mandatory seed quality control system, unorganized information of the seed industry, inadequate number of trained personnel in the seed industry, lack of private sector involvement.

Emerging natural hemp seed proteins and their functions for nutraceutical applications

With changing dietary habits and increasing awareness of the nutraceutical role of dietary foods,the demand for natural plant proteins and interest in non-traditional protein sources in the food industry are increasing.Industrial hemp,belonging to the plant family Cannabaceae,is cultivated for its fibre and edible seeds.Due to its nutritional value,it has also been used in the food industry and medicine.In particular,hemp seed proteins have drawn considerable attention in both scientific and industrial fields because of their excellent nutraceutical values,superior digestibility,low allergenicity and diverse techno-functional properties.In this review,we provide a summary of the current research progress on the extraction and purification processes,physiochemical properties,nutraceutical functions,and applications of hemp seed proteins.Perspectives in the application of advanced technologies for hemp seed bioactive peptide mining are also discussed.This review provides up-to-date insights into the nutraceutical values,health benefits,and future applications of this emerging plant source protein.

我国大豆种业科技创新发展现状及对策建议

我国是大豆消费和进口大国,推动大豆产业振兴、强化大豆种业科技创新对于保障我国粮饲安全意义重大。结合2016年以来我国大豆种植面积、产量、进口量等数据及相关研究进展,深入分析我国大豆产业所面临的刚性需求量大且长期依靠进口、平均单产水平低且种植面积受限、大豆进口面临潜在风险且不易疏解等形势挑战,简述了“十三五”期间我国大豆种业科技创新发展成效,系统分析了我国大豆种业科技创新面临的种质资源研究水平不高、原始科技创新能力不足、商业化育种体系不完善、知识产权保护体系滞后等问题,并据此提出我国大豆种业科技创新发展的对策建议,以期为推动我国大豆种业科技自立自强提供重要参考。

油菜种业作为食用油产业链上游的关键链条,其稳定健康发展对于保障我国植物油供给安全至关重要。该文从品种选育与保护、种子生产与推广、种子市场规模等方面对我国油菜种业发展现状进行全面阐述,深刻分析我国油菜种业发展存在的优异种质资源创新利用不足、突破性新品种缺乏、现有育种技术落后等问题,并从加大优异种质资源挖掘与创新利用、加快突破性新品种选育、加速现代油菜育种技术跨越式发展等方面提出推动我国油菜种业发展的政策建议。

中药材种业创新与金融投资——中药材种业发展基金的设立与思考

中药材种业是我国中医药现代化的基础性核心产业之一,具有产业规模小、行业效益较低、公益性强等特殊的行业属性。近10年来,中药材种业在品种选育、标准制定、合规企业建设等方面均取得显著成果,初步形成了中药材商品种子,但其产业发展水平仍落后于农作物种业30年以上。目前,我国以银行为主的金融体系难以为种业创新提供金融支持,为了加快推进中药材种业创新发展,推动解决其结构分散、市场集中度低、创新能力不足等问题,提出参考现代种业发展基金的模式设立中药材种业发展投资基金,以期发挥政策性基金的优势,重构我国中药材种业金融创新体系,赋能中药材种业发展。

江西省现代种业发展现状、问题和对策建议

通过对江西省涉农科研单位、种业公司、涉农管理部门进行调研和访谈,总结了江西省现代种业的发展现状及其存在的问题,并提出了相应的对策建议。结果表明:近年来,江西省种业发展取得了积极的成效,但仍存在农业种质资源保护不全、种业科技创新水平不高、种业企业竞争实力不强、种业监管保障能力不足等问题,并提出了健全相关法律法规、培育壮大龙头种业企业、加大种质资源保护利用力度、提升种业科技创新能力、完善种业监管保障体系等政策建议,以期为江西省现代种业高质量发展和保障国家粮食安全提供参考依据。
