Comparison of Meiofaunal Abundance in Two Mangrove Wetlands in Tong'an Bay, Xiamen, China 被引量:5

To compare meiofaunal community in the two mangrove wetlands in Tong'an Bay, Xiamen, China, and probe the response of meiofauna to high organic matter, sampling was carried out in Fenglin and Xiang'an mangrove wetlands in the bay. The results showed that the Ne/Co ratio (nematode to benthic copepod) and organic matter in Fenglin mangrove wetland were higher than those in Xiang'an mangrove wetland. The meiofaunal abundance in Fenglin mangrove was all lower than that in Xiang'an mangrove wetland in summer, autumn and spring, while the meiofaunal abundance in Fenglin mangrove was higher than that in Xiang'an mangrove wetland in winter. Two-way ANOVA results showed that the meiofaunal abundance and nematode abundance were significantly different between regions, seasons and regionxseason. With all the results in the present study, we confirmed that the positive response of meiofaunal and nematode abundance were only detected for medium organic matter contents according to the Xiang'an wetland's level, and that the distribution of meiofaunal abundance would be influenced by sand content. Higher copepod abundance and lower N/C value usually suggest better environmental quality. 展开更多

Infrared small target detection is a common task in infrared image processing.Under limited computa⁃tional resources.Traditional methods for infrared small target detection face a trade-off between the detection rate and the accuracy.A fast infrared small target detection method tailored for resource-constrained conditions is pro⁃posed for the YOLOv5s model.This method introduces an additional small target detection head and replaces the original Intersection over Union(IoU)metric with Normalized Wasserstein Distance(NWD),while considering both the detection accuracy and the detection speed of infrared small targets.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves a maximum effective detection speed of 95 FPS on a 15 W TPU,while reach⁃ing a maximum effective detection accuracy of 91.9 AP@0.5,effectively improving the efficiency of infrared small target detection under resource-constrained conditions. 展开更多

[Method] Culture dish method and pot experi-ment were carried out with the seeds and the seedling of 10 adzuki bean varieties, respectively, and seed germination rate and various indexes of the seedlings were measured. [Result] ① 30 g/L wheat root aqueous extracts very significantly im-proved the germination rate and sprouting index of B1789, Baihong 3, Baohong 947. ② The genotype differences of adzuki bean seedling was presented by the morphological index in wheat root aqueous extracts treatment; among al the mor-phological indexes, Baohong 947, Jinhong 3 presented a positive al elopathic effect, and their plant height, root length and leaf area were extremely significantly in-creased, while the fresh weights of both above-ground and underground parts were increased obviously, compared with the control. ③ According to the synthetical al-lelopathic indices, wheat root aqueous extracts had different degrees of promoting effects on the six adzuki bean varieties: Baohong 947〉Baihong 6〉B1789〉Zunhua-hong〉Jihong〉Jinhong 3〉Baohong 8824-17〉Baihong 3. ④ Treated by wheat root aqueous extract, the SOD activity, POD activity, MDA content, TTC activity and chlorophyl content in the seedlings of adzuki beans of different genotypes changed by a smal er range in al elopathic promotion varieties than in al elopathic inhibition varieties. A hi erarchical feature matching algorithm was adopted to get the final transform parameters between the two images. Its biological character-istic, life history, the action style on hosts were studied at Hongqi Forest Farm, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province from June 1998 to October 2000, in order to control H. flaminus and raise the control ability of Chilocorus kuwanae to Quadraspidiotus gigas pest. The observed results indicated that H. flaminus has two generation one year in study area, the pupating span is 12.7 d, life span of females and males is 17.6 d and 10.8 d respectively, egg span is 10 d, and the sex ratio of females to males is 1:3. 展开更多

Wavelet decomposition and color information entropy are selected to construct vectors for KNN that is used to classify of the images. The distance function is modified according to the weight determined by the correlation degree between feature and class, which effectively improves classification accuracy. The result shows the mean accuracy of classification rate is up to 95.41% for freshwater plankton images, such as chironomid larvae, cyclops and harpacticoida. 展开更多

Allelopathic Effects of Aqueous Extracts of Different Tissues and Rhizosphere Root of Adzuki Bean on Growth of Wheat Seedlings

Seedlings of wheat were used as receptor plants to study the allelopathic effects of Adzuki Bean aqueous extracts from different organs and rhizosphere soil at different concentrations (0, 10, 40 and 160 g/L) using sand culture of pot method. The results indicated that root aqueous extract of adzuki bean presented promotion effects at low concentrations and inhibition effects at the high concentra- tion on the growth of height and young leaf length of wheat seedlings, but inhibition effects at low concentrations and promotion effects at the high concentration on the growth of root length, the number of lateral roots and dry weigh of underground part of wheat seedlings. With the concentrations of rhizosphere soil, root, stem and leaf aqueous extracts of adzuki bean increasing, their inhibitory allelopathic effects on the growth of height and young leaf of wheat seedlings increased; the physiological parameters of wheat seedlings studied at the low concentrations of aqueous extracts, indicated that root and rhizosphere soil aqueous extracts of adzuki bean improved the activities of hyperoxid dismutase (SOD) and peroxide enzyme(POD), but reduced the contents of chlorophyll and malonaldehyde (MDA); the physiological parameters of wheat seedlings studied at the high concentration of aqueous extracts indicated that the leaf aqueous extract of adzuki bean inhibited root vigor, and reduced the contents of Chlorophyll and MDA, but it was found that the aqueous extract significantly improved the activities of SOD and POD; and as to the synthetic allelopathic effect (SE), the allelopathic effects of different tissues and rhizosphere soil of adzuki bean on wheat seedlings were in order of leaf〉stem〉soil〉root. 展开更多

In our case,the patient presented with acute intestinal obstruction due to intussusception and emergency laparotomy with ileoileal anastomosis was done. Haematuria was known as a benign hallmark of some glomerular diseases, but over the last decade, new evidences pointed its negative implications on kidneydisease progression. Cytotoxic effects of oxidative stress induced by hemoglobin, heme, or iron released from red blood cells may account for the tubular injury observed in human biopsy specimens. However, the precise mechanisms responsible for haematuria remain unclear. The presence of red blood cells (RBCs) with irregular contours and shape in the urine indicates RBCs egression from the glomerular capillary into the urinary space. Therefore glomerular haematuria may be a marker of glomerular filtration barrier dysfunction or damage. In this review we describe some key issues regarding epidemiology and pathogenesis of haematuric diseases as well as their renal morphological fndings. 展开更多

The interaction of Pb Cd can be observed not only in the uptake process of elements by plants and in their influence on the growth, but also in rhizosphere. The changes in extractable Cd and Pb concentrations in the rhizosphere soil of rice plants, root exudates from wheat and wheat plant and their complexing capacity with Pb and Cd were investigated under different Pb and Cd treatments. Results showed that the concentration of extractable Cd in the rhizosphere of rice in red soil was markedly increased by Pb Cd interaction. It increased by 56% in the treatment with Pb and Cd added against that in the treatment with only Cd added in soil. The considerable differences in both composition and amount of root exudate from wheat and rice were found among different treatments. Pb and Cd might be complexed by root exudates. The concentrations of free Pb and Cd in the solution were increased markedly by adding root exudate from wheat and decreased by that from rice due to Pb Cd interaction. The distribution patterns of Pb and Cd in roots were affected by Pb Cd interaction, which accelerated transport of Pb into internal tissue and retarded accumulation of Cd in external tissue. 展开更多

For choosing suitable summer-planting adzuki bean crop, this experiment adopted the method of indoor petri dish bioassay to study the allelopathy effect of adzuki bean, radish, cabbage and wheat under different concentrations of adzuki bean root aqueous extracts. The result showed that the adzuki bean had a strong inhibition towards its germination rate and germination index. With the increasing concentration of the adzuki bean root aqueous extract, the seed germination rate and germination index of the three kinds of receptor crops presented a decreasing trend. From the root length, spire length, the number of lateral roots, plant height, fresh mass and other morphological indexes of seedlings, it was concluded that with the increase of concentration of adzuki bean root aqueous extract, only wheat pre- sented a promotion effect while the other two kinds of receptor crops showed an inhibition effect, which were not significant at low concentrations. With the increase of concentration of adzuki bean root extracts, the SOD and POD activities of radish and wheat also increased, while the two kinds of enzyme activities of cabbage showed a decreasing trend. The MDA contents in seedlings of radish and wheat decreased, while the MDA content in cabbage increased significantly, which showed that wheat could be used as a rotation crop of adzuki bean, and radish also had a great application potential in adzuki bean crop rotation. 展开更多

The present study deals with some chemical behavior,including Cd extractability,species transformation and adsorption-desorption characteristics,of Cd in the rhizosphere(R) of wheat seedlings grown on both yellow-brown earth(YBE) and red earth (RE).Results indicated an increase of pH about 0.5 unit in the R of the yellow-brown earth and a decrease about 0.4 unit in the R of red earth in comparison with their respective bulk soils(NR).More Cd adsorbed and less Cd desorbed,and hence less Cd extracted in the R of YBE than those in the NR were found.The opposite cases were got for the R of RE.Fractionation experiment showed that in the R of YBE,more Cd was bound to Mn oxides and organic matter,less Cd was in exchangeable form,and little Cd was bound to amorphous and crystal iron oxides.However,little difference of the Cd species between the R and NR of RE was found. Regression analysis indicated that pH was one of the dominant factors affecting the chemical behavior of Cd in rhizosphere. 展开更多

Cell proliferation is accompanied with changing levels of intracellular calmodulin (CaM) and its activation. Prior data from synchronized cell population could not actually stand for various CaM levels in different phases of cell cycle. Here, based upon quantitative measurement of fluorescence in individual cells, a method was developed to investigate intracellular total CaM and Ca2+-activated CaM contents. Intensity of CaM immunoflurescence gave total CaM level, and Ca2+ -activated CaM was measured by fluorescence intensity of CaM antagonist trifluoperazine (TFP). In mouse erythroleuke-mia (MEL) cells, total CaM level increased from G1 through S to G2 M, reaching a maximum of 2-fold increase, then reduced to half amount after cell division. Meanwhile, Ca2+-activated CaM also in creased through the cell cycle (G1 , S, G2M). Increasing observed in G1 meant that the entry of cells from G1 into S phase may require CaM accumulation, and, equally or even more important, Ca2+-dependent activation of CaM. Ca2+- activated CaM decreased after cell divi-sion. The results suggested that CaM gene expression and Ca2+-modulated CaM activation act synergistically to accomplish the cell cycle progression. 展开更多

Then we investigated the changes on characteristics of cell growth by analyzing cells growth rate, mitotie index and colony-forming rate in semi-solid medium. The expressions of c-mye and p-globin genes were analysed by semi-quantitative RT-PCR.Results. MEL cells transfected with pcDNA-MEDDF showed significant lower growth rate, mitolic index,and colony-forming rate in semi-solid medium ( P<0. 01). The percentage of benzidine-positive cells was 32. 8%after transfection. The expression of β-globin in cells trarisfected with pcDNA-MEDDF was 3. 43 times higherthan that of control (MEL transfected with blank vector, pcDNA3. 1), and the expression of c-rnyc decreased by66. 3% .Conclusions. Amylose contents in 298 rice samples were determined by conventional method, and a near-infrared spectral model of rice amylose content was established by partial least squares. The calibration determination coefficient (RC) was 0.95; the standard error of calibration (SEC) was 1.58; and the determination coefficient of cross validation (RP) was 0.91, and the standard error of prediction SEP was 1.92. External validation was performed with 20 samples, the predicted values and the determined values were not significantly different, and the correlation coefficient between them was over 95%. The calibration model has good prediction perfor- mance, and could rapidly determine rice amylose content instead of chemical ana- lytical method. 展开更多

Eosinophilic gastroenteritis is a rare disease of unknown etiology. It is characterized by eosinophilic infiltration of the bowel wall to a variable depth and symptoms associated with gastrointestinal tract. Recently, the authors experienced a case of eosinophilic gastroenteritis presenting as small bowel obstruction. A 51-year old woman was admitted to our hospital complaining of abdominal pain and vomiting. Physical examination revealed a distended abdomen with diffuse tenderness. Complete blood count showed mild leukocytosis without eosinophilia. Computed tomography confirmed a dilatation of the small intestine with ascites. An emergency laparotomy was performed for a diagnosis of peritonitis due to intestinal obstruction. Segmental resection of the ileum and end to end anastomosis were performed. Histologically, there was a dense infiltration of eosinophils throughout the entire thickness of ileal wall and eosinophilic enteritis was diagnosed. The patient recovered well, and was free from gastrointestinal symptoms at the time when we reported her disease. 展开更多

[Objective] This study aimed to establish an identification system for drought-resistance in wheat by using near-infrared diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. [Method] In 2006-2007, 36 wheat varieties with different drought resistance were selected and were classified according to their drought resistance grades determined by the Technical Specification of Identification and Evaluation for Drought Resistance in Wheat (GB/T 21127-2007). In addition, the harvested wheat seed samples were spectrally analyzed with FOSS NIRSystems5000 near-infrared spectrum analyzer for grain quality (full spectrum analyzer) and then the forecasted regression equations were established. [Result] After the establishment of a database and validation, dis- criminated functions were obtained. The determination coefficient (RSQ) and coeffi- cients of determination for cross validation (1-VR) in the discriminant function built with seed samples from water stress area were 0.846 0 and 0.781 8, respectively, which indicated that the consistency between drought resistance and spectral charac- teristics in wheat varieties was good, and there was high correlation between the near-infrared diffuse reflectance spectra of seeds and the drought resistance in wheat. Pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) due to parvovirus B19 (PVB19) infectiori after solid organ transplantation has been rarely reported and most of the cases were renal transplant recipients, Few have been described after liver transplantation. Moreover, little information on the management of this easily recurring disease is available at present. We describe the first case of a Chinese liver transplant recipient with PVB19-induced PRCA during immunosuppressive therapy. The patient suffered from progressive anemia with the lowest hemoglobin level of 21 g/L. Bone marrow biopsy showed selectively inhibited erythropoiesis with giant pronormoblasts. Detection of PVB19-DNA in serum with quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) revealed a high level of viral load. After 2 courses of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) therapy, bone marrow erythropoiesis recovered with his hemoglobin level increased to 123 g/L. He had a lowlevel PVB19 load for a 5-too follow-up period without recurrence of PRCA, and finally the virus was cleared. Our case indicates that clearance of PVB19 by IVIG in transplant recipients might be delayed after recovery of anemia. 展开更多

Water electrolysis has attracted a lot of attention in recent years for hydrogen production.CoP has been widely investigated as a traditional electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).However,the strong bond strength of P-H bond and weak chemical stability are still the key problems in affecting catalytic performance of CoP.In this work,we synthesized rambutan-like CoP@Mo-Co-O hollow microspheres as HER electrocatalyst,solving the two problems of CoP as electrocatalyst.Benefiting from the unique three-dimensional space structure and interface effect between CoP and Mo-Co-O,the synthesized CoP@Mo-Co-O shows a small overpotential of 62 mV at the current density of 10 mA cm^-2 for HER,which is much lower than the corresponding overpotential of pure CoP microspheres(117 mV).Rambutan-like CoP@Mo-Co-O hollow microspheres also show robust long-term stability and excellent cycling stability.This work provides a new method for the design and improvement of non-precious HER electrocatalysts. 展开更多
