Descriptive, analytical, and experimental methods are used in this research. The results of the study are expected to benefit from the results of this study to provide planners handicrafts in the Ministry of Education. An effective strategy can affect the teaching and learning of handicrafts, the protection of its features and its presence and identity. The study sample consists of 45 students of the third level, batch 2012-2013, from the faculty of Education at the University of Khartoum, Republic of the Sudan. The researchers to prepare topics for handicrafts depend on the use of local materials and units which are derived from the environment and represent the Artistic heritage that is shown through handicrafts (pottery, ceramics, calligraphy, decoration, carpet weaving and textile, sewing, embroidery, sculpture and engraving on wood, metal works, and printing works). The researchers focuse that the students learn the value of handicrafts in terms of economic and method of production and take advantage of it to increase the income of the individual product. The results confLrms the existence of a difference in the quality and value of handicrafts for students in both groups: the experimental and control group, which confirms that the handcrafts lead to the promotion of cultural and economic development for students of art education in higher education. The researchers are recommended to consider of this topic as a main component which enables an area for further studies to develop different strategies in the field of handicrafts, for students to recognize the importance of the handicrafts value in terms of economic and method of production and take advantage of it to increase the income of the individual product.展开更多

Nowadays, Vietnam's handicrafts have a foothold in the world market, and are exported over 163 countries and territories (Tuan, 2010). However, the production activities of the handicraft village have a lot of shortcomings, especially the problem of environmental pollution (Chi, 2010). Therefore, government policy plays a very important role to minimize environmental pollution villages, contributing to improving environmental quality and public health. This paper focuses on: 1). Current status of state policy environment in handicraft villages shows the achievements and limitations of the policy, from which reviews state policy in environments in handicraft villages (through fieldwork in the handicraft villages); and 2). Solution to improve state policy on environmental protection in handicraft villages in Vietnam.展开更多

The process consists of preparation of the diastereomer salt of ketoprofen with n-octyl-d-glucamine, liberation of S-(+)-ketoprofen from its diastereomer salt and recovery of the remaining ketoprofen and n-octyl-d- glucamine. The suitable conditions for preparation of the diastereomer salt were methanol and ethyl acetate (1.1 by volume) as the solvent, the ratio of solvent volume to ketoprofen mass at 8ml:1g, and the molar ratio of ketoprofen to n-octyl-d-glucamine at 1:1. The preferred approach to liberate S-(+)-ketoprofen from its diastereomer salt was alkali dissolution, acid adjustment and ethyl acetate extraction. Racemization of the recovered ketoprofen could be achieved by reacting the recovered ketoprofen with 10% NaOH at 507 kPa for 6h. The recovered n-octyl-d- glucamine could be refined by acid dissolution and alkali adjustment. S-(+)-ketoprofen can be obtained with high optical purity and yield, showing that the present process is a practical and efficient one which can be used in industrial scale for preparation of S-(+)-ketoprofen.展开更多

It shows that errors in production process and degradation in the jewellery pro duct quality in the (complex) transition from hand crafted silver model making to mass production are largely due to the ignorance of the importance of design——craftsmanship in production process. In fact, the design can be employed to solve the problems of the quality degradation or even as a tool to prevent error in the stages of product design, development and production. In testing this hypo thesis, production processes (from designing, model making, casting, polishing, buffing to texturing) are all examined in order to identify the root causes of product quality degradation in mass production. After the analysis, the concept of “integrated craftsmanship” is proposed to assist integration of traditional goldsmith′s and je wellery designers′ techniques in jewellery designing and making, and to change the attitudes to quality control in mass production systems. Finally, the model of “integra ted design craftsmanship” as a comprehensive design conceptual and quality organizational tool is formulated for managing and improving product quality.展开更多

An alternative usage would be the use of these fibers in biosorption of heavy metals from aqueous solutions. This present study aimed to evaluate the potentiality of cadmium biosorption by coconut fiber. The coconut fibers were used at kinetic analysis, influence ofpH and adsorption isotherms were also carried out. It can be concluded that there is great potential for the use of coconut fiber, and the optimum pH for adsorption was around 5.0. The adsorption kinetics is fast and equilibrium occurs within 120 min. The Langmuir isotherm was considered the most suitable to describe the experimental data.展开更多

The goal of this research was to create a series of original paintings by investigating Chinese traditional folk arts and handcrafts and integrating them physically or ichnographically on Ho's new body of paintings. Chinese traditional motifs including Chinese characters and Buddhist iconographies had already been important motifs in the contemporary Western paintings of Kong Ho for the past 10 years. This paper examined not only the artistic, cultural, and historical values but also the impacts of Chinese traditional folk arts and era~ on Ho's painting through a personal research travel and studies of a certain amount of Chinese paper-cuttings, folk prints, pottery, and handcrafts found in the famous Foshan Folk Art Studio and Foshan City Shiwan Ceramics Factory in Foshan, China. Furthermore, this paper investigated the symbolic meanings founded in Ho's spiritual paintings with strong Chinese heritage and how he reinterpreted those artifacts in a contemporary context.展开更多

Compared to western countries, design works of China have obvious disadvantages. At the same time, the traditional handicraft techniques of China have suffered strong blows of modem technologies with the development of time and their living space have been gradually occupied. The combination of traditional handicraft techniques with modem fashion design has dual significances. On the one hand, it helps infuse new ideas into fashion design. On the other hand, it promotes the development of traditional handicraft techniques in modern times. In this respect, this combination has some positive significances.展开更多

This paper examines the traditional techniques, methods, and materials used in Tibetan (Tantric) Buddhist painting by observing its working process at first hand, and having attended a number of its exhibitions, art workshops, and other resources both at home and overseas. The survey of the technical aspect of Tibetan painting is primarily based upon the general usage of materials, as well as the method and the usual order of their application that relates to most kinds of mural paintings in Tibet, and which are less well-known in the West This paper aims to present a rich and somewhat complicated range of methods and materials of Tibetan (Tantric] Buddhist art tradition. To its end, the author hopes it also provides more indication of its possible influence of the traditional artistic wealth in Tibet on contemporary artists working in relation to this culture.展开更多

The downdraft gasifier uses charcoal or wood chip as fuel to produce the producer gas for a dryer heat source. Two steps operation of a dryer as follows: The frst was to reduce mulberry paper pulp moisture by an air vacuum pump; the second was a continuous hot air drying process. The optimum condition drying, the capacity of dryer, the fuel consumption, the drying constant (k) and economics analysis were investigated. It was found that the first step could be to reduce mulberry paper pulp moisture content about 25% and the suitable condition drying was 80 ~C drying temperature, 0.04 kg/s air mass flow rate and 0.29 m/min chain conveyor speed, respectively. The capacity of this dryer was 20 sheets per hour. The quality of mulberry paper product was very good (based on the standard of mulberry paper community 41/2546) and the fuel consumption rate was 5 kg/h (charcoal). The drying constant was about 0.532933-0.541367 min~ and the drying constant was a function of drying temperature (T), air mass flow rate (F) and conveyor speed (10 as equation of k(T, F, V) = 0.567494 + 0.000422T- 1.40588F- 0.000205 V (R2 = 0.9254) and the breakeven point of dryer was 0.79 years.展开更多
