A total of 20 low-back and leg pain patients with lumbar disc herniation were treated with balanced acupuncture or body acupuncture. Central mechanisms of vaded acupunctures were compared using resting-state functional MRI. Patients from both groups received functional MRI before and after acupuncture. Functional connectivity in brain regions that were strongly associated with the bilatera amygdala was analyzed utilizing AFNI software. Visual analogue scale scores were greater in the balanced acupuncture group compared with the body acupuncture group. Function of the endogenous pain regulation network was enhanced in patients in the balanced acupuncture group, but was not changed in the body acupuncture group. This result indicates that the analgesic effects of body acupuncture do not work through the central nervous system. These data suggest that balanced acupuncture exerts analgesic effects on low-back and leg pain patients with lumbar disc herniation by regulating the function of the endogenous pain regulation network.展开更多

文摘Balanced acupuncture, a single-acupoint balance therapy, regulates the balance of the cerebral center, and is characterized by exerting quick effects and a short treatment course. These data suggest that balanced acupuncture exerts analgesic effects on low-back and leg pain patients with lumbar disc herniation by regulating the function of the endogenous pain regulation network.

文摘One major task of our improvement of China’s international communication capabilities is to tell China’s stories well and make China’s voice heard to communicate a comprehensive,multi-dimensional view of China in the international arena.International Chinese language education bears the dual responsibility of spreading the Chinese language and promoting the Chinese culture. How to shape global narratives for telling China’s stories and improve China’s international communication capabilities has become an important issue that concerns international Chinese language education.Chinese idioms, which are hidden treasures of the Chinese language, can play a unique role in this regard. It is therefore necessary to review the content and methods of including idioms in international Chinese language education. In this paper, instruction in idioms is approached by making a corpus-based comparative analysis from the theoretical perspectives of equivalence, cognitive metaphor, and second language acquisition.Qualitative and quantitative methods are combined to analyze idioms to be added to the vocabulary of international Chinese language education in three dimensions:word frequency, semantic transparency, and functional equivalence. This paper aims to explore a new approach to the dissemination of Chinese culture through instruction in idioms in international Chinese language education.
文摘The paper presents modeling approach of a Single Ended Primary Inductance Converter (SEPIC) system. The complete model derivation of the SEPIC converter system has been presented in different modes of operation. Steady state and small signal analysis was carried out on the converter dynamic equations using the method of Harmonic balance Technique. The steady state variables and their respective ripple quantities obtained were plotted against duty ratio D. The results obtained for a supply input voltage of 60 volts to the converter at a duty ratio of D = 0.8 , compares well with simulation results.
文摘" Functional Equivalence Theory" , including Dynamic Equivalence and Formal Equivalence two parts, was first put forward by an American translator , Nida, Eugene A. This theory makes it available for readers of translation feel the same way as those of the origi nal. This theory has become the highest standard in Business Letter Translation in consideration of features of business letters, like normaliz ing, pries word, sample pattern, tactful tone, and its different functions like providing information, communicating and so on. However, be cause of the differences between Chinese culture and foreign cultures, there are some situations need special treatments. This paper does some study in the Functional Equivalence Theory and its application in Business Letter Translation. Finally, the paper educe the conclusion as: This theory has feasibility and constructive function in Business Letter Translation. However, this theory should be abounded and im proved ceaselessly in practice, since it still have some shortages.
文摘Eugene A. Nida is an influential translation theoretician with great research achievements. The functional equivalence theory which is the core of his translation theories lays a solid foundation for the modern translation. However, there also exist some limitations in it. It should be dialectically analyzed to find its contributions and limitations.
文摘The translation of Business English thereby gets more and more important with the international business communication getting increasingly frequent. This paper firstly analyzes the stylistic features of business English;secondly illustrates the guiding role of functional equivalence theory in business English translation and meanwhile explores the translation of business English guided by functional equivalence theory, trying to make this tentative study have the theoretical and practical meaning in business English translation.
文摘Translation is a trans-cultural communication activity which related to two languages. The main goal of translation is,no doubt, to establish a particular type of correspondence between the source text and the target text. The nature of the correspondence has been referred to"faithfulness"or"fidelity", or more predominantly, the notion of"equivalence".This issue attempts to analyze the brief introduction of the Da Yan Pagoda, which is a famous scene in Xian from the point of functional translation equivalence's view.
文摘"INCEPTION" has become a blockbuster recently and this word reflects the phenomenon:meaning expanding in a specific context, which,as a matter of fact, lives in many fields such as literature, films and speeches.Such words or phrases have both surface and deep meanings whose translation research is mainly placed on literal or literary transfer, leaving out their dynamicity and balance in meaning category. This paper aims to give a brief analysis on such phenomenon and puts forward to a new translation principle:category equivalence in dynamicity and balance.
文摘Different countries and different nationalities have different cultures. There are differences between them as each culture has its characteristics. Therefore,as their different value, aesthetic taste, region and custom, different cultures assign different meanings to words.According to Tytler, the translation of cultural terms should follow the three principles of translation and adopt reasonable translation methods:retention method, transference translation method, transliteration method, hybrid method, approximation method, interpretation method and implication presentation method,to overcome the translation barriers caused by cultural differences and achieve the translation effect of functional equivalence proposed by Nida.
