Based on the researcheson the atmospheric gases anomalies and near-surface atmospheric electric anomaly beforethe earthquake, we have proposed a mechanism for interpreting the satellite thermalinfrared temperature increase. That is, before an earthquake, the gases such as CH<sub>4</sub> andCO<sub>2</sub> released into the atmosphere are under the influence of electric field and solar radia-tion and cause the temperature to increase in the atmosphere.
