[Method] The artificial reproduction and fry rearing technique of Cichlasoma managuense were carried out. [ Result] Two years old parent fish which cultured in nest can pair and spawn by themselves. The absolute fecundity of female fish were 1 500 -2 500 eggs/fish, the relative fecundity were 500 -800 eggs/fish. Fertilized eggs were elliptic, dark yellow, opaque, viscous, and arranged dispersedly in the nest. 50 of 72 pairs of parent fish were matched and spawned. The spawn rate was 74.2% and the fertility rate was 92.6% during the trial period. The time from fertilized egg to larva was 48 h ~ 41 min, Total body length of larva was 0.65 ±0.35 cm, hatching rate was 84.8%, total initial hatched fry was 401 000 in the water temperature 27 -30 ℃[ Conclusion] 322 000 fishes of 3.0 -5.0 cm fry were obtained in the cement pool with small cages cultivation in 41 -43 d, survival rate 78.5%.展开更多
