In the context of the new era of economic globalization,the development of international trade holds immense significance in fostering global economic recovery and advancing the process of global economic integration.Against this backdrop,aspects such as trade liberalization,digital trade,trade in services,and the influence of multinational companies are becoming increasingly prominent.Concurrently,factors encompassing economic,political,technological,and environmental considerations,as well as regional economic integration,will exert influence on the trajectory of international trade development.This paper aims to comprehensively explore the development trends of international trade and the myriad influencing factors within the framework of the new economic globalization.

Economic Globalization: An Irresistible Trend Despite Imperfections

The world is entering into a new era of economic globalization. Realizing the benefits of globalization depends on a host of realistic conditions including technology and infrastructure, geopolitical pattern and the structure of market power, and international institutional arrangements, i.e., the global governance structure, among others. In this new era of economic globalization, international competition boils down to the ＂good governance＂ of countries rather than the use of force and hegemonism. Most importantly, a country must promote the vibrancy of innovation in order to stay competitive and creative. In this sense, China＇s position in the new era of economic globalization hinges upon its transition from being the ＂leader of world economic growth＂ to being a future ＂leader of good governance and vibrancy. ＂ Interests of various economies become interlocked, intertwined and overlap. Despite the inevitability of conflicts and frictions, more inclusive and balanced global development serves the interests of most nations. For great powers with extended boundaries of interests across the world, the maintenance of the new balance of power in economic globalization is consistent with their respective national interests. Hence, in the new era of economic globalization characterized by the inevitability of intricate interests and inevitable conflicts, the world is likely to be more peaceful, competitive and inclusive than any previous age of economic globalization.

Economic Globalization 3.0 and the Concept of Interconnection under the Belt and Road Initiative

In the new chapter of Economic Globalization 3.0,the interests of world economies become interwoven and interdependent.Despite unavoidable frictions and disputes,more inclusive and balanced development serves the interests of most countries in the world.For major countries with global interests,maintaining the new balance of power for economic globalization is consistent with their respective national interests.The shared interests of countries promise a more peaceful and interconnected world than ever before.

Economic Globalization and Industrial Pollution

In order to study the relationship between economic globalization and industrial pollution, this paper developed the theoretical framework and used simultaneous equations. The result shows that economic globalization has influences on the industrial pollution mainly by the direct effect of scale, structure and technology as well as the indirect effect of income and policy. Considering all the factors, economic globalization, especially foreign direct investment (FDI), will reduce industrial pollution, in which technology spillover effect plays an important role.

Economic Globalization and Inflation in China： A Multivariate Approach

This paper evaluates whether globalization has increased the role of global factors in driving inflation in China. Unlike other published studies on the relationship between globalization and inflation, which mostly use Phillips curve models, this paper uses multivariate dynamic models to examine the dynamic interactions between globalization and inflation in China. Empirical results with quarterly data spanning from 1995 to 2012 show that the global output gap significantly affects the dynamics of inflation in China. In particular, the global ou^mat gap is superior to the domestic output gap in predicting domestic inflation. Impulse response and variance decomposition analyses reinforce this finding. Our results indicate that the central bank of China should take developments in global output into account in its monetary policy-making process.

How economic globalization affects the happiness of residents in China——Empirical evidence from CGSS 2008

This paper is a quantitative examination of the effect of economic globalization on Chinese citizens’happiness and its transmission mechanism based on China General Social Survey(CGSS)2008.The results show that economic globalization has enormously and indirectly promoted Chinese citizens’happiness by reducing inflation and unemployment,increasing income,improving health condition and narrowing the wealth gap.This conclusion is not affected by sample selection or self-selection bias,nor endogenous variables.It is suggested that as it promotes economic globalization,the Chinese government should try to mitigage its adverse impact by increasing expenditures on social security,health care,education,and vocational training,while making sure the benefits of economic globalization are shared by every social stratum.

Using political economic theory, this paper analyzes the impact of economic globalization on international income distribution, including the income gap between developed countries and developing ones, the income gap among the developing countries. The paper states that because the economic globalization is the globalization of capitalism manufacture style and developed countries dominates the process, the income gap between developing countries and developed one is difficult to be narrowed, and the income gap in developing countries will enlarge.

This paper makes systematic observations of China＇s contributions to global macroeconomic growth and bulk commodity consumption. Our observations suggest that while China＇s economic size is relatively small on a per capita basis, its contributions are large in terms of overall volume; moreover, the economy has experienced tremendous growth.
