Based on the alloy Cu55Ni45 (at pct), holding the proportion of Cu to Ni in constant and in the temperature range of 1233~1573 K, the wetting angles of CuNi-0~56 at pct Ti alloys on Si3N4 have been measured by the sessile drop method. With the increase of Ti content, the wetting angles decreased. The equilibrium wetting angle was 5° when Ti content ≥32 at pct.In the case of same Ti content, the activity of Ti in CuNiTi alloy was weaker than that in CuTi alloy The cross-section of the CuNiTi-Si3N4 interface and the elements distribution were examined by scanning electron microscope with X-ray wave-dispersion spectrometer, and the reaction products formed at the interface were determined by X-ray diffiaction analysis method. 展开更多

The effect of cooling liquid used for heat exchangers on the Cu alloy corrosion products has been examined using potential-time measurements under applied current condition (anodizing), potentiodynamic polarization, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and infrared spectroscopy (IR) The corrosion products formed on the Cu alloy surface during anodizing, are Cu2O, Cu2(OH)3Cl, and Cu2S. NaCl is detected in the corrosion products. The film formation depends on the applied current and the shift of potential to nobler direction indicates its formation progress. 展开更多

Corrosion evolution during immersion tests (up to 43 days) of NiCu steel in deaerated 0.1 mol/L bicarbonate solutions was investigated by electrochemical measurements, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Results show that NiCu steel transformed from the anodic dissolution in the early stage of immersion to a metastable passive state in the final stage as the open-circuit potential value shifted positively, which was aroused by the precipitation of corrosion products. This process was mainly promoted by the trace amount of oxygen. Simultaneously, dominant cathodic reaction transformed from the hydrogen evolution in early stage to reduction processes of corrosion products in later stages. Possible corrosion processes were discussed with the assistance of a corresponding Pourbaix diagram. 展开更多
