Time delay and integration (TDI) charge coupled device (CCD) noise sets a fundamental limit on image sensor performance, especially under low illumination in remote sensing applications. After introducing the complete sources of CCD noise, we study the effects of TDI operation mode on noise, and the relationship between different types of noise and number of the TDI stage. Then we propose a new technique to identify and measure sources of TDI CCD noise employing mathematical statistics theory, where theoretical analysis shows that noise estimated formulation converges well. Finally, we establish a testing platform to carry out experiments, and a standard TDI CCD is calibrated by using the proposed method. The experimental results show that the noise analysis and measurement methods presented in this paper are useful for modeling TDI CCDs. 展开更多

The effects of hydrogen charging time and pressure on the hydrogen embrittlement(HE)susceptibility of X52 pipeline steel material are studied by slow strain rate tensile tests.The fracture morphologies of the specimens are observed by scanning electron microscopy.The HE susceptibility of the X52 pipeline steel material increases with an increase in both hydrogen charging time and hydrogen pressure.At a charging time of 96 h,the HE susceptibility index reaches 45.86%,approximately 3.6 times that at a charging time of 0 h.Similarly,a charging pressure of 4 MPa results in a HE susceptibility index of 31.61%,approximately 2.5 times higher than that at a charging pressure of 0.3 MPa. 展开更多

This paper proposes pixel process techniques to reduce the charge transfer time in high speed CMOS image sensors. These techniques increase the lateral conductivity of the photo-generated carriers in a pinned photodiode (PPD) and the voltage difference between the PPD and the floating diffusion (FD) node by controlling and optimizing the N doping concentration in the PPD and the threshold voltage of the reset transistor, respectively. The techniques shorten the charge transfer time from the PPD diode to the FD node effectively. The proposed process techniques do not need extra masks and do not cause harm to the fill factor. A sub array of 32 x 64 pixels was designed and implemented in the 0.18 #m CIS process with five implantation conditions splitting the N region in the PPD. The simulation and measured results demonstrate that the charge transfer time can be decreased by using the proposed techniques. Comparing the charge transfer time of the pixel with the different implantation conditions of the N region, the charge transfer time of 0.32 μs is achieved and 31% of image lag was reduced by using the proposed process techniques. 展开更多

The Lukeqin structural belt is the main heavy oil accumulation zone in the Turpan-Hami Basin. The recent discovery of light oil in the Triassic indicates that there may be multiple source kitchens contributing to the oil accumulation. According to oil geochemical analysis and oil-source correlation, the oil in deep and shallow reservoirs of the Lukeqin Oilfield presents different physical and saturated hydrocarbon mass spectrum characteristics. The Triassic heavy oil is from the northern Upper Permian lacustrine source rocks, and the light oil represented by the Yudong-9 Well is from the northwestern Lower Jurassic coal-measure source rocks. The timing of oil charging was determined by K/Ar isotope dating, reservoir fluid inclusion analysis and the evolution history of different source rocks. In summary, the accumulation process consists of two stages. From the end of Triassic to early Jurassic, the northern Permian source kitchen generated a considerable amount of oil, which was finally degraded to heavy oil, migrated to the south and then accumulated. The northwestern Jurassic coal-measure source kitchen began to generate oil at the end of Cretaceous, while the northern source kitchen could only generate a little hydrocarbon. The heavy oil and the light oil have different source rock locations, migration directions and accumulation times. The migration of hydrocarbon source kitchens affects the distribution of heavy oil and light oil reservoirs at the present time. 展开更多

Conventional multi-stage constant current charging strategies often use higher multiples of current to charge the battery in pursuit of shorter charging times.However,this leads to an increase in battery temperature,while shortening the charging time.This in turn affects the safety of the charging process.Furthermore,the higher charging currents are not ideal for shortening the charging time in the later stages of charging.To solve the aforementioned problems,in this study,a multi-stage constant current charging strategy is presented.This strategy can shorten the battery charging time by using the increase in battery temperature during the charging process as a constraint,using a genetic algorithm to calculate the charging current value,and investigating the phased approach to charging.Finally,the charging strategy is experimentally validated at different ambient temperatures and different initial SOCs.The experimental results show that the charging strategy proposed in this paper not only reduces the amount of calculations,but also reduces the temperature rise by up to 46.4%and charging time by up to 4.2%under different operating conditions. 展开更多

An analytical description for guiding of ions through nanocapillaries is given on the basis of previous work. The current entering into the capillary is assumed to be divided into a current fraction transmitted through the capillary, a current fraction flowing away via the capillary conductivity and a current fraction remaining within the capillary, which is responsible for its charge-up. The discharging current is assumed to be governed by the Frenkel–Poole process. At higher conductivities the analytical model shows a blocking of the ion transmission, which is in agreement with recent simulations.Also, it is shown that ion blocking observed in experiments is well reproduced by the analytical formula. Furthermore, the asymptotic fraction of transmitted ions is determined. Apart from the key controlling parameter(charge-to-energy ratio), the ratio of the capillary conductivity to the incident current is included in the model. Differences resulting from the nonlinear and linear limits of the Frenkel–Poole discharge are pointed out. 展开更多

The time delay integration charge coupled device(TDI CCD)is the key component in remote sensing systems.The paper analyzes the structure and the working principles of the device according to a customized TDI CCD chip.Employing the special clock resources and large-scale phase locked logic(PLL)in field-programmable gate arrays(FPGA),a timing-driven approach is proposed,using which all timing signals including reset gate,horizontal and vertical timing signals,are implemented in one chip.This not only reduces printed circuit board(PCB)space,but also enhances the portability of the system.By studying and calculating CCD parameters thoroughly,load capacity and power consumption,package,etc,are compared between various candidates chips,and detailed comparison results are also listed in table.Experimental results show that clock generator and driving circuit satisfy the requirements of high speed TDI CCD. 展开更多

Overcharging is an important safety issue in the charging process of electric vehicle power batteries,and can easily lead to accelerated battery aging and serious safety accidents.It is necessary to accurately predict the vehicle’s charging time to effectively prevent the battery from overcharging.Due to the complex structure of the battery pack and various charging modes,the traditional charging time prediction method often encounters modeling difficulties and low accuracy.In response to the above problems,data drivers and machine learning theories are applied.On the basis of fully considering the different electric vehicle battery management system(BMS)charging modes,a charging time prediction method with charging mode recognition is proposed.First,an intelligent algorithm based on dynamic weighted density peak clustering(DWDPC)and random forest fusion is proposed to classify vehicle charging modes.Then,on the basis of an improved simplified particle swarm optimization(ISPSO)algorithm,a high-performance charging time prediction method is constructed by fully integrating long short-term memory(LSTM)and a strong tracking filter.Finally,the data run by the actual engineering system are verified for the proposed charging time prediction algorithm.Experimental results show that the new method can effectively distinguish the charging modes of different vehicles,identify the charging characteristics of different electric vehicles,and achieve high prediction accuracy. 展开更多
