p-Hydroxyacetophenone(p-HAP)was used as preservatives in cosmetics recently,their new efficacy was rarely reported.Here,We evaluate the soothing and oil control efficacy of p-HAP in vitro cells,providing a new efficac... p-Hydroxyacetophenone(p-HAP)was used as preservatives in cosmetics recently,their new efficacy was rarely reported.Here,We evaluate the soothing and oil control efficacy of p-HAP in vitro cells,providing a new efficacy basis for its application in cosmetics.The content of nitric oxide(NO),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-6(IL-6)were determined in LPS-induced RAW264.7 and lipid contents were determined in testosterone-induced SZ95.The results revealed that p-HAP attenuated pro-inflammatory cytokines,such as NO,TNF-αand IL-6(P<0.01).Simultaneously,0.05mg/mL of p-HAP also inhibited the formation of lipid droplets in human sebocytes,with 17.64%of inhibition(P<0.001).These findings may be beneficial in the application of p-HAP as an efficacy ingredient in cosmetics,which may have a soothing and oil control efficacy according to the inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokines and lipid contents. 展开更多

[Objective] Study on control efficacy and inhibitory effect of Bacillus cereus strain JK14^·against wheat take-all disease, investigating its antifungal mechanism. [Method] B. cereus JK14^· was isolated from soil in the rhizosphere of wheat, inhibitory effects of whose nutrient solution form against Gaeumannomyces graminis var tritici strains 9862 and 9812 were measured in laboratory and then for its antifungal mechanism. The strain JK14^· with rifampicin and wheat take-all disease resistance was screened by increasing concentration of the two substrates, and colonization of JK14^·was studied. [Result] In pot experiment, the control effects of JK14^·, against 9862 and 9812 are 63% and 59%, respectively, which are higher than that of chemical fungicides, with 55% and 51% , respectively. JK14^· could deform mycelium and causes degradation of cell wall. And there are also dynamic change of JK14^· in root system. JK14^· on seed could extend to root along with seed germination and rooting, but per unit tissue mycelium number decreased gradually. [Conclusion] The results indicate some control efficacy of B. cereus strain JK14^· against wheat take-all disease. 展开更多

Apolygus lucorum(Meyer-Dür.) and Erythroneura apicalis(Nawa) are important pests that affect the quality and the yield of grapevine and cause huge economic losses. This paper focuses on the selection of effective botanical pesticides to control A. lucorum and E. apicalis. This experiment explores the effect of several botanical pesticides for A. lucorum and E. apicalis, including the 0.5% veratrine, the0.6% Oxygen·Lactone agent, the 5% natural pyrethrin, the composite neem pesticide, the rotenone and the composite nicotine. The 0.5% veratrine shows a stable control efficacy, which is higher than 60% in Chengdu, while the composite nicotine shows the highest efficacy against A. lucorum, which is above 70%. In Yinchuan,the 0.5% veratrine shows the highest efficacy, against the first generation adults and the second generation larvae of E. apicalis, while the 5% natural pyrethrin shows 100% control efficacy against E. apicalis in Nanjiang. The 0.5% veratrine and the composite neem could be used as effective pesticides to control A. lucorum and the 5% natural pyrethrin can be used to control E. apicalis. They could be widely used in the production of pollution-free grapes. 展开更多

With validamycin A.(0.2 billion spores/ml) Paenibacillus polymyxa DN-1 3% AS as the test agent, the effects of different dosage and different application time on the control efficacy for' rich sheath blight were investigated. The results of two- year test showed that when the application amount was in the range of 45-90 g.a.i/ hm^2, the field efficacy of validamycin A-(0.2 billion spores/ml) P. polymyxa DN-1 3% AS in the initial infection stage of rich sheath blight (Le., the diseased plant rate was below 5%) reached 80.38%-89.06%, and that in the peak infection stage (i.e., the diseased plant rate was higher than 10%) reached only 41.12%-53.26%. The field efficacy of validamycin A.(0.2 billion spores/ml) P. polymyxa DN-1 3% AS at the early onset of rich sheath blight was significantly better than that at the onset, so that the application time of validamycin A .(0.2 billion spores/ml) P. polymyxa DN-1 3% AS should be appropriately brought forward in the prevention and control of rice sheath blight. 展开更多

The results showed that the overall control effect of 45% propamocarb · fenamidone SC against potato late blight on the 14^th day after the third spraying were 67.64% -83.78%. The yield of potato reached 19 972.5 -23 302.5 kg/hm^2, with higher marketable tuber rate and lower rotten tuber rate. With the increase in fungicide dose, the difference in control effect against late blight was significant, but the yield-increasing effect on potatoes was not significant. The appropriate application dosage of 45% propamecarb · fenamidone SC were 450 -675 g/hm^2. 展开更多

To explore the control efficacy of 85%pyroxasulfone water-dispersible granule(WG)on annual weeds in corn field as well as its safety,a randomized block design was used to conduct a field plot test of efficacy at four different test sites.After sowing before seedling,85%pyroxasulfone WG at the doses of 10,15,20,and 40 g/667 m^(2),and 55%acetochlor+atrazine suspension concentrate(SC,control agent)at the dose of 170 g/667 m^(2)in summer corn area and 260 g/667 m^(2)in spring corn area were applied,respectively.The test site without herbicide application was used as the blank control.The results revealed that after 40 d of application,the control efficacy of 85%pyroxasulfone WG reached 83.75%~98.23%on Gramineae weeds,55.22%~98.33%on broadleaf weeds,and 88.03%~98.46%on Cyperaceae weeds,but without toxicity to corns.Compared with 55%acetochlor+atrazine SC,85%pyroxasulfone WG at the dose of more than 10 g/667 m^(2)had higher control efficacy on Gramineae weeds,lower efficacy on broadleaf weeds and similar efficacy on Cyperaceae weeds.To sum up,spraying 85%pyroxasulfone WG at the dose of 15~20 g/667 m^(2)(an active component dose of 191.3~255.0 g/hm^(2))after sowing before seedling could effectively control some annual weeds in corn fields and had no toxicity to corns.The herbicide dose was greatly reduced,and thus 85%pyroxasulfone WG was recommended as an effective mean to control the main weeds in corn fields. 展开更多

[Method]The indoor control efficacy of 25% benzoylphenal urea, 30% trichlorfon, 16 000 IU/mg Bacillus thuringiensis and Beauveria bassiana on 2-3 instars larvae of L. pastorlis were determined, and the indoor toxicity of 25% benzoylphenal urea and crystal trichlorfon on shrimp was also tested. [Result]Four pesticides all had insecticidal effects on 2-3 instars larvae of L. pastorlis, of which 30% trichlorfon 800, 1 000 and 1 500 times and 25% benzoylphenal urea 800 times had the best control effect. Crystal trichlorfon with the concentrations of 0.500, 0.100, 0.010 mg/L and 25% benzoylphenal urea 8 000, 10 000, 15 000 times had little or no impact on shrimp, respectively.[Conclusion] 30% Trichlorfon was rapidly available with small impact on shrimp, which were suitable for emergency use or daily control of L. pastorlis. 25% Benzoylphenal urea and 16 000 IU/mg B. thuringiensis had relatively slow insecticidal effect, which was suitable for daily control of L. pastorlis. 展开更多

[Objectives]This study was conducted to screen high-efficiency formula pesticides and precise and efficient application techniques for the prevention and control of Sesamia inferens Walker and Ceratovacuna lanigera Zehntner.[Methods]Field efficacy trials were conducted using different combinations of 70%directed enhanced thiamethoxam seed treatment dispersible powder and 46%monosultap·Bacillus thuringiensis wettable powder.[Results]70%directed enhanced thiamethoxam ZF 450 g/hm^(2)+46%monosultap·B.thuringiensis WP 2250 g/hm^(2)had good control effects on both S.inferens and C.lanigera,so it was an ideal high-efficiency formula pesticide for controlling sugarcane S.inferens and C.lanigera.From January to May,combining with new plant or perennial root cultivation management,70%directed enhanced thiamethoxam ZF 450 g/hm^(2)can be evenly spread on sugarcane ditches and sugarcane stumps after being well mixed with fertilizers applied per hectare,and covered with soil in a timely manner,and during the peak incubation period of the first and second generation of S.inferens eggs from March to May,46%monosultap·B.thuringiensis WP 2250 g/hm^(2)was sprayed to the leaf surface in the mixture with water 675 kg with an electric backpack or a motorized sprayer.In such a way,the control efficacy on dead heart seedlings could reach over 89.8%,and that on C.lanigera could reach 100%.Meanwhile,it could effectively and concurrently control thrips,and the increases in yield and sugar content could reach 29310 kg/hm^(2)and 5.9 percentage points,respectively.[Conclusions]The promotion and application of the formula pesticide could achieve precise application and control of sugarcane pests,and improvement of sugarcane quality and planting efficiency,and help promote green prevention and control of sugarcane diseases and pests and the sustained high-quality development of the sugar industry. 展开更多

In order to mitigate the occurrence and damage of cowpea anthracnose and reduce the chemical pesticide consumption, residue and environmental pollution, the methods of forecasting, randomized block design and statistical analysis were conducted to study the control effect of biopesticide chitosan, biochemical compound Prochloraz-Chitosan and chemical pesticides difenoconazole and thifluzamide by field efficacy trials. The results showed that under serious occurrence of anthracnose in autumn greenhouse cowpea, when the 2% chJtosan AS (2 250 g/hm^2), 46% Prochloraz-Chitosan EW (450 g/hm^2), 10% difenoconazole WG (900 g/hm^2, CK) or 24% thifluzamide SC (360 ml/hm^2) were applied three times with an interval of 5-8 d, the control efficiency on day 7, 14 and 20 reached 83%, 78% and 73%, respectively. No significant difference was found in control efficiency among the four kinds of agents. These four kinds of agents, especially chitosan and Prochloraz-Chitosan, could be used as ideal agents for controlling anthracnose, as well as for modern agricultural demonstration zones, pollution-free agricultural products, green agricultural products and organic agricultural products,thereby meeting the develop- ment needs of 'modern agriculture, green agriculture, organic agriculture and ecological agriculture. 展开更多

In this study, toxicity and control efficiency of three nicotine biopesticides against pomegranate aphids were determined via indoor toxicity test and field effica- cy test, aiming at screening the appropriate reagent for prevention and control of pomegranate aphids. The results of indoor toxicity test showed that LC^o of reagent 1, reagent 2 and reagent 3 reached 10 270, 12 810 and 13 040 mg/L, respectively. The results of field efficacy test showed that control efficacy of reagent 1, reagent 2 and reagent 3 reached 60.52%, 34.60% and 46.99%, respectively. Overall, reagent 1 (91% ultrafine powder of tobacco leaves, 3% silicone oil, 2% sasangua cake, 2% emulsifier, 2% ascorbic acid) exhibited the highest control efficiency against pomegranate aphids, which can be further popularized and utilized. 展开更多

The fall armyworm(FAW)Spodoptera frugiperda,which originated in the Americas,is advancing across China and threatening the nation’s maize crops.Currently,one widely used tool for its control is genetically modified(GM)Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt)maize.Sufficient content of Bt protein in appropriate plant parts is crucial for enhancing resistance against insect pests.In this study,we conducted a systematic investigation of Cry1 Ab levels in Chinese domestic GM maize DBN9936,which has recently obtained a biosafety certificate,and evaluated its efficacy against FAW.Quantification of expression levels of Cry1 Ab,via ELISA,indicated a spatio-temporal dynamic,with significant variation of mean Cry1 Ab,ranging from 0.76 to 8.48μg g-1 FW with the Cry1 Ab protein level ranked as:V6-V8 leaf>R1 leaf>R4 leaf>R1 silk>VT tassel>R4 kernel.Among the nine locations,the Cry1 Ab levels in DBN9936 of the Xinxiang,Langfang,and Harbin fields were significantly lower than those from Wuhan and Shenyang,and were slightly,but not significantly lower than those from the other four fields.Furthermore,the artificial diet-Cry1 Ab mixture and plant tissue feeding bioassays revealed that DBN9936 has high efficacy against FAW.The insecticidal efficacy of different tissues against FAW larvae reached 34-100%with a descending order of lethality as follows:VT leaf>R4 leaf>R1 husk>R1 silk>VT tassel>R4 kernel.Taken together,our results showed that Bt-Cry1 Ab maize DBN9936 has potential as a promising strategy to manage FAW. 展开更多

Streptomyces rubrogriseus HDZ-9-47,isolated from eggs of Meloidogyne spp.,was evaluated as a potential biocontrol agent of Meloidogyne incognita under in vitro and protective field.Microscopic observations showed that HDZ-9-47 parasitized eggs of M.incognita within 7 days.In vitro,the culture filtrate of HDZ-9-47 caused 97.0%mortality of second-stage juveniles(J2s)of M.incognita and inhibited more than 50%egg hatching.In the field,compared with the control,the rootknot index and J2s density in the treatment of drench the broth contained 1012 HDZ-9-47 spores were respectively reduced by 51.1 and 80.7%at 90 days post transplantation,which were better than that in other application doses and methods.In addition,reduction rates of root-knot index and J2s density of the treatment of combined application of HDZ-9-47 with biofumigation was 87.1 and 91.0%,respectively,better than either of HDZ-9-47 or biofumigation used alone or fosthiazate treatment.And tomato yield also increased by 16.1%.Together,our results suggest that HDZ-9-47 could be an effective biocontrol agent of M.incognita,and that application of HDZ-9-47 combined with cabbage residue biofumigation was a promising and sustainable option for M.incognita control. 展开更多

[Result] The parasporal crystal of YNI-1 has a diamond-like structure. The molecular weight of the original toxin protein is 136 kDa. Field studies were conducted in 2012 and 2013 to evaluate weed and insect control efficacy with glyphosate at 1 230 g ai(active ingredient) ha^(-1) and the insecticides acephate(728 g ai ha^(-1)),carbosulfan(135 g ai ha^(-1)),endosulfan(683 g ai ha^(-1)),imidacloprid(32 g ai ha^(-1)),or lambda-cyhalothrin(23 g ai ha^(-1)),as well as glyphosate tank-mixed with these insecticides.Four of the most common weeds in cotton,common purslane,false daisy,goosegrass,and lambsquarters,were manually sown in the cotton field and treated with glyphosate alone or in combination with insecticides.Glyphosate efficacy,based on visual estimates of control and weed fresh weight at 21 d after treatment(DAT),was unaffected by the addition of insecticides.Four weeds were controlled by 93-97%and 86-100%(visual rating) and reduced weed fresh biomass by98-99%and 96-100%with glyphosate alone and its combination with insecticides,respectively.Addition of glyphosate to acephate improved cotton aphid control compared with acephate alone.However,addition of glyphosate to carbosulfan,endosulfan,imidacloprid,or lambda-cyhalothrin did not affect the aphid control when compared with the insecticide alone treatments.These results indicate that cotton producers could potentially integrate weed and insect management strategies by choosing suitable insecticide mixing partners with glyphosate,thereby reducing the application costs without sacrificing the efficacy of the glyphosate or the insecticides. 展开更多

[Objective]The paper was to study indoor efficacy of 13 insecticides against tea geometrid(Ectropis Oblique Hypulina Wehrli).[Method]Thirteen insecticides were sprayed onto indoor hydroponic young tea shoots with infesting third instar larvae of tea geometrid reared in the laboratory to simulate the actual condition in the tea garden,and their efficacy was studied.[Result]The control efficacies of 60 g/L spinetoram SC 3 000 times dilution,3% emamectin benzoate ME 15 000 times dilution,240 g/L methoxyfenozide SC 5 000 times dilution and 240 g/L metaflumizone SC 1 500 times dilution were all greater than 91% after spraying for 7d.The control efficacy of 20%tebufenozide SC 1 000 times dilution remained 86.48%.Although the control efficacy of 20%flubendiamide WDG 6 000 times dilution was slightly lower than the above five treatments,the dry weight of faeces was the second least,and its protection effect on leaves was only second to spinetoram.Therefore,60g/L spinetoram SC,3% emamectin benzoate ME,240 g/L methoxyfenozide SC,240 g/L metaflumizone SC,20% tebufenozide SC and 20% flubendiamide WDG were ideal insecticides that could be used rotationally to control tea geometrid in tea garden.The control efficacy of 10% bifenthrin EC 3 000 times dilution was only 23%,so the insecticide was not suitable for control against the pest.[Conclusion]The paper proposed an alternate insecticide for field control against tea geometrid. 展开更多

The four formulations are ideal high-efficiency compound formulations for the prevention and control of sugarcane brown rust. They can be sprayed manually and by unmanned aerial vehicles on the foliar surface from July to August, once every 7 to 10 d, continuously for 2 times. [Objective]The paper was to explore application of nativo in control against cucumber powdery mildew.[Method]Taking "Zhenghuang 3" cucumber as the material,the effects of nativo on growth of cucumber at different periods were studied by soaking seeds and spraying treatment on stems and leaves.The field efficacy trial against powdery mildew was also carried out to comprehensively evaluate control effect of nativo against powdery mildew.[Result]Seed soaking by nativo had good preventive effect on powdery mildew,while plant height,root length and increase rate of stem diameter were significantly lower than that of hexaconazole.Rates of plant height inhibition were 15.62% and 4.65% at seedling and flowering stage after spraying 60mg/L of nativo,respectively, which were significantly lower than that of hexaconazole.The control efficacies of nativo were 73.82%-84.26% in field trial,which was as good as that of hexaconazole but higher than that of Topsin-M.[Conclusion]Nativo is safe to growth of cucumber,with good control effect on powdery mildew.It can be used as an alternative fungicide to control cucumber powdery. 展开更多
