The single signal and composite signal of different Milankovitch cycles are obtained by numerical simulation. The simulated composite signal can be separated into single signals of a single frequency cycle. We also develop a well-seismic calibration insertion technology which helps to realize the calibration from the spectrum characteristics of a single well to the seismic profile. And then we determine the change and distribution characteristics of spectrum cycles in the two-dimensional space. It points out the direction in determining the variations of the regional sedimentary sequence cycles, underground strata structure and the contact relationship.展开更多

On the basis of study on the sequence stratigraphy in more than 10 sections in Guizhou, Guangxi, Longmenshan and Southern Qinling within South China we have identified 21 sequences and T-R cycles that correspond to third-order sea level changes. These sea level change cycles were controlled by autorhythm(Pragian,Eifelian), allorhythm(Lochkovian,Emsian,Givetian) and coupling rhythm mechanisms (frasian, Famennian and F-F boundary).展开更多

All of them are thought to be essentially related to cosmological cycles, except the megasequence which may be caused by the long-term geothermal cycles on cratons. We deem that the depositional sequences, though often influenced variably by local tectonics and other factors, are primarily global and periodic in nature. We also hold that as one of the planets within the Galaxy, the earth must have been affected in various ways by other asteroids, and that the depositional sequences are merely the responses of the hydrosphere to the cosmological cycles in sedimentation.展开更多

Due to the fact that the placement cost of some tests at the design stage is considerably high compared with the execution cost, the sequential diagnosis strategy obtained by previous methods is actually not optimal from the view of life cycle. In this paper, the test sequencing problem based on life cycle cost is presented. It is formulated as an optimization problem, which is non-deterministic polynomial-time hard (NP-hard). An algorithm and a strategy to improve its computational efficiency are proposed. The formulation and algorithms are tested on various simulated systems and comparisons are made with the extant test sequencing methods. Application on a pump rotational speed control (PRSC) system of a spacecraft is studied in detail. Both the simulation results and the real-world case application results suggest that the solution proposed in this paper can significantly reduce the life cycle cost of a sequential fault diagnosis strategy.展开更多

Based on the comprehensive analysis of carbon and oxygen isotope trends, paleobathymetry and spectral-frequency of representative well logs, 3rd-order sequences can be divided into 3 types: (a) global sea level (GSL) sequence mainly controlled by GSL change;(b) tectonic sequence mainly controlled by regional tectonic activity;and (c) composite sequence jointly controlled by GSL change and regional tectonic activity. This study aims to identify the controlling factors of 3rd-order sequences and to illustrate a new method for classification of 3rd-order sequences of the middle Permian strata in the Sichuan Basin, China. The middle Permian strata in the Sichuan Basin consist of 3 basin-contrastive 3rd-order sequences, i.e., PSQ1, PSQ2 and PSQ3. Of these, PSQ1 is a GSL sequence while PSQ2 and PSQ3 are composite sequences. The results suggest that the depositional environment was stable during the deposition of PSQ1, but was activated by tectonic activity during the deposition of the middle Permian Maokou Formation.展开更多
