Although information security and cyber security are sometimes used synonymously, this study contends that they are not the same. The concept of cyber security is explored, which goes beyond protecting information resources to include a wider variety of assets, including people [1]. Protecting information assets is the main goal of traditional information security, with consideration to the human element and how people fit into the security process. On the other hand, cyber security adds a new level of complexity, as people might unintentionally contribute to or become targets of cyberattacks. This aspect presents moral questions since it is becoming more widely accepted that society has a duty to protect weaker members of society, including children [1]. The study emphasizes how important cyber security is on a larger scale, with many countries creating plans and laws to counteract cyberattacks. Nevertheless, a lot of these sources frequently neglect to define the differences or the relationship between information security and cyber security [1]. The paper focus on differentiating between cybersecurity and information security on a larger scale. The study also highlights other areas of cybersecurity which includes defending people, social norms, and vital infrastructure from threats that arise from online in addition to information and technology protection. It contends that ethical issues and the human factor are becoming more and more important in protecting assets in the digital age, and that cyber security is a paradigm shift in this regard [1].展开更多

Hospital disaster preparedness presents complex clinical operation. It is difficult philosophical challenge. It is difficult to determine how much time, money, and effort should be spent in preparing for an event that may not occur. Health facilities whether hospitals or rural health clinics, should be a source of strength during emergencies and disasters. They should be ready to save lives and to continue providing essential emergencies and disasters. Jeddah has relatively a level of disaster risk which is attributable to its geographical location, climate variability, topography, etc. This study investigates the hospital disaster preparedness (HDP) in Jeddah. Methods: Questionnaire was designed according to five Likert scales. It was divided into eight fields of 33 indicators: structure, architectural and furnishings, lifeline facilities’ safety, hospital location, utilities maintenance, surge capacity, emergency and disaster plan, and control of communication and coordination. Sample of six hospitals participated in the study and rated to the extent of disaster preparedness for each hospital disaster preparedness indicators. Two hazard tools were used to find out the hazards for each hospital. An assessment tool was designed to monitor progress and effectiveness of the hospitals’ improvement. Weakness was found in HDP level in the surveyed hospitals. Disaster mitigation needs more action including: risk assessment, structural and non-structural prevention, and preparedness for contingency planning and warning and evacuation. Conclusion: The finding shows that hospitals included in this study have tools and indicators in hospital preparedness but with lack of training and management during disaster. So the research shed light on hospital disaster preparedness. Considering the importance of preparedness in disaster, it is necessary for hospitals to understand that most of hospital disaster preparedness is built in the hospital system.展开更多

The Mie scattering of large particle, vertical wind and air turbulence have great influences on the retrieval of DSD measured by MRR. This paper simulates the process of how three factors affect the inversion of DSD and the calculation of other precipitation parameters, then makes the errors analysis. Because the wavelength of MRR is 12.5mm,M ie theory is more suitable for the precipitation particle than Rayleigh approximation,w hich may cause the underestimation of number density of small droplets and the overestimation of that in middle field. The vertical wind results in inaccurate estimation of particle terminal velocity,so the diameter is measured with some errors by empirical relationship,w hich affects the calculating accuracy of radar reflectivity and rain rate. Air turbulence can broaden the pow er spectral density,of which the impact on the inversion of DSD are concentrated in small droplets field. Then the measured data from MRR is analyzed and the results prove the impacts of those factors. Finally, according to the analysis and application limits, the prospect of the future research trend of particle size distribution is conducted.展开更多

Using ground-based GPS precipitate water vapor data (GPS-PWV) and radiosonde-precipitate water vapor data (RS-PWV) that integrated by Radiosonde data, the error between GPS-PWV and RS-PWV in Tengchong is analyzed on its distribution of wet and dry seasons, also the difference between 00:00 UTC and 12:00 UTC. Results show that the RMSE of GPS-PWV and RS-PWV on both 00:00 UTC and 12:00 UTC are less than 5 mm, they correspond with each other well and their correlation coefficient is above 0.95, additionally, GPS-PWV value is stable than RS-PWV value. On the whole, the value of GPS-PWV is slightly larger than RS-PWV. And the mean absolute error between them has higher values, 4.5 mm in 2011 and 4.7 mm in 2012 from May to October (local rainy season) and lower values, 2.8 mm in 2011 and 3.1 mm in 2012 in November to April (local dry season). Besides, the mean absolute error in the morning seems has a difference with its component in the evening. Specifically, it is bigger on 12:00 UTC than on 00:00 UTC and the mean absolute errors on 12:00 UTC of two years are 27% and 11% larger than errors on 00:00 UTC respectively. The correlation of mean absolute error and surface vapor pressure, surface air temperature is examined in this study as well. We achieved that the correlation coefficient between mean absolute error and surface vapor pressure, surface air temperature equals 0.32, 0.37 separately. Diverse characters of mean absolute error under different precipitation conditions are also discussed. The outcome is that the mean absolute error has a higher value on rainy days and a lower value on clear days. However, during the precipitation periods, it appears that the mean absolute error and the rainfall situation don’t agree with each other well, it is likely to change randomly.展开更多

As an example, Chebyshev polynomial fitting results and its error analysis are given. Because it’s difficult generally to get a propeller atlas across four quadrants, a way is used to construct an alternative with higher accuracy based on the properties. As an application example, an alternative for the propeller property of a Deep Submergence Vehicle across four quadrants is given practically and a simulation model of the four quadrants propeller for dynamic condition is set up. The model lays a foundation for DSV full operating-condition movement simulation. A lot of simulation work shows that the results are very close to the practical data and, therefore, are effective.展开更多

The linearization of the Liouville equation via the Munk and MacDonal perturbation scheme has oversimplified polar excitation physics. A more conventional linearization of the Liouville equation as the generalized equation of motion for free rotation of the physical Earth reveals: 1) The reference frame is most essential, which needs to be unique and physically located in the Earth;2) Physical angular momentum perturbation arises from motion and mass redistribution to appear as relative angular momentum in a rotating Earth, which excites polar motion and length of day variations;3) At polar excitation, the direction of the rotation axis in space does not change besides nutation and precession around the invariant angular momentum axis, while the principal axes shift responding only to mass redistribution;4) Two inertia changes appear simultaneously at polar excitation;one is due to mass redistribution, and the other arises from the axial near-symmetry of the perturbed Earth;5) The Earth at polar excitation becomes slightly triaxial and axially near-symmetrical even it was originally biaxial;6) At polar excitation, the rotation of a non-rigid Earth becomes unstable;7) The instantaneous figure axis or mean excitation axis around which the rotation axis physically wobbles is not a principal axis;8) In addition to amplitude excitation, the Chandler wobble possesses also multiple frequency-splits and is slow damping;9) Secular polar drift is after the products of inertia and always associated with the Chandler wobble;both belong to polar motion;10) The Earth will reach its stable rotation only after its rotation axis, major principal axis, and instantaneous figure axis or mean excitation axis are all completely aligned with each other to arrive at the minimum energy configuration of the system;11) The observation of the multiple splits of the Chandler frequency is further examined by means of exact-bandwidth filtering and spectral analysis, which confirms the theoretical prediction of the linearized Liouville equation. After the removal of the Gibbs phenomenon from the polar motion spectra, Markowitz wobbles are also observed;12) Error analysis of the ILS data demonstrates that the incoherent noises from the Wars in 1920-1945 are separable from polar motion and removable, so the ILS data are still reliable and useful for the study of the continuation of polar motion.展开更多

After the removal of the Gibbs phenomenon from the polar motion spectra, Markowitz wobbles are also observed;12) Error analysis of the ILS data demonstrates that the incoherent noises from the Wars in 1920-1945 are separable from polar motion and removable, so the ILS data are still reliable and useful for the study of the continuation of polar motion.

文摘Stringent attitude determination accuracy is required for the development of the advanced space technologies and thus the accuracy improvement of digital sun sensors is necessary. In this paper,we presented a proposal for measurement error analysis of a digital sun sensor.A system modeling including three different error sources was built and employed for system error analysis.Numerical simulations were also conducted to study the measurement error introduced by different sources of error.Based on our model and study, the system errors from different error sources are coupled and the system calibration should be elaborately designed to realize a digital sun sensor with extra-high accuracy.

文摘Potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)are considered promising alternatives to lithium-ion batteries owing to cost-effective potassium resources and a suitable redox potential of-2.93 V(vs.-3.04 V for Li+/Li).However,the exploration of appro-priate electrode materials with the correct size for reversibly accommodating large K+ions presents a significant challenge. In addition, the reaction mecha-nisms and origins of enhanced performance remain elusive. Here, tetragonal FeSe nanoflakes of different sizes are designed to serve as an anode for PIBs,and their live and atomic-scale potassiation/depotassiation mechanisms are revealed for the first time through in situ high-resolution transmission electron micros-copy.We found that FeSe undergoes two distinct structural evolutions,sequen-tially characterized by intercalation and conversion reactions, and the initial intercalation behavior is size-dependent.Apparent expansion induced by the intercalation of K+ions is observed in small-sized FeSe nanoflakes, whereas unexpected cracks are formed along the direction of ionic diffusion in large-sized nanoflakes. The significant stress generation and crack extension originating from the combined effect of mechanical and electrochemical interactions are elucidated by geometric phase analysis and finite-element analysis.Despite the different intercalation behaviors, the formed products of Fe and K_(2)Se after full potassiation can be converted back into the original FeSe phase upon depotassiation. In particular,small-sized nanoflakes exhibit better cycling perfor-mance with well-maintained structural integrity. This article presents the first successful demonstration of atomic-scale visualization that can reveal size-dependent potassiation dynamics. Moreover,it provides valuable guidelines for optimizing the dimensions of electrode materials for advanced PIBs.
文摘In the study, position and velocity values of a geostationary satellite are found. When performing this, a MATLAB algorithm is used for Runge-Kutta Fehlberg orbit integration method to solve spacecraft’s position and velocity. Integrated method is the solution for the systems which mainly work with a single station. Method provides calculation of azimuth, elevation and range data by using the position simulation results found by RKF. Errors of orbit determination are analysed. Variances of orbit parameters are chosen as the accuracy criteria. Analysis results are the indicator of the method’s
文摘In this paper, we construct a modified least squares regression algorithm which can provide privacy protection. A new concentration inequality is applied and the expected error bound is derived by error decomposition. Furthermore, via the error analysis, we find a method to choose an appropriate parameter to balance the error and privacy.

文摘Several new MEMS Inertial Measurement Unit(IMU) sensor products have been released recently with improved performance, which have the potential to support much higher precision applications.New MEMS IMUs include the NavChip from InterSense, the Nav440 from Crossbow, the Landmark30/40 from GTI,the SDI500 from Systron Donner.Since they are new in the market, currently there is limited information about their error characterization which however is important for the construction of proper error models for their integration with other sensors such as GPS.This paper will investigate the error characterization of two new MEMS IMU sensors, namely the NavChip and Nav440,using Allan variance technique. In addition to identifying different error terms, different stochastic error modeling methods, such as Gauss-Markov(GM) and Autoregressive(AR) processes, will also be investigated to assess the MEMS IMU sensor biases.Investigation to integrate new MEMS IMU sensors with Precise Point Positioning(PPP) will also be conducted to address the re-convergence issues.
文摘Error estimation for the differential quadrature (DQ)with various sets of grid spacing is presented. A general formula is given to compute the weighting coefficients directly. It is found that the maximum error of the Do method with roots of Chebyshev polynomials including two end POints (-1 and + 1 ) is the smallest among the several sets of grid spacing investigated herein.

文摘Gene spectrum analysis has shown that gene expression and signaling pathways change dramatically after spinal cord injury, which may affect the microenvironment of the damaged site.Microarray analysis provides a new opportunity for investigating diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of spinal cord injury. However, differentially expressed genes are not consistent among studies, and many key genes and signaling pathways have not yet been accurately studied.GSE5296 was retrieved from the Gene Expression Omnibus DataSet.Differentially expressed genes were obtained using R/Bioconductor software(expression changed at least two-fold;P < 0.05).Database for Annotation,Visualization and Integrated Discovery was used for functional annotation of differentially expressed genes and Animal Transcription Factor Database for predicting potential transcription factors. The resulting transcription regulatory protein interaction network was mapped to screen representative genes and investigate their diagnostic and therapeutic value for disease. In total, this study identified 109 genes that were upregulated and 30 that were downregulated at 0.5,4,and 24 hours, and 3,7,and 28 days after spinal cord injury. The number of downregulated genes was smaller than the number of upregulated genes at each time point.Database for Annotation,Visualization and Integrated Discovery analysis found that many inflammation-related pathways were upregulated in injured spinal cord.Additionally, expression levels of these inflammation-related genes were maintained for at least 28 days.Moreover,399 regulation modes and 77 nodes were shown in the protein-protein interaction network of upregulated differentially expressed genes.Among the 10 upregulated differentially expressed genes with the highest degrees of distribution, six genes were transcription factors.Among these transcription factors,ATF3 showed the greatest change.ATF3 was upregulated within 30 minutes, and its expression levels remained high at28 days after spinal cord injury. These key genes screened by bioinformatics tools can be used as biological markers to diagnose diseases and provide a reference for identifying therapeutic targets.
