To provide theoretical and technical basis for the application of preparations of bamboo vinegar and copper sulfate in the prevention of green algae in floating system for tobacco seeding,the soaking and spraying meth...To provide theoretical and technical basis for the application of preparations of bamboo vinegar and copper sulfate in the prevention of green algae in floating system for tobacco seeding,the soaking and spraying methods were employed to study the effect of different concentrations of preparations of bamboo vinegar and copper sulfate on green algae and tobacco seedling growth. The results showed that the preparations of bamboo vinegar and copper sulfate of different concentrations played a strong role in inhibiting green algae growth and had better effect than copper sulfate. Spraying 1∶ 200 preparations of bamboo vinegar and copper sulfate could significantly promote tobacco seedling growth,and the leaf fresh weight increased by 15. 80% compared with CK,with significant difference; spraying 1∶ 50 preparations was not conducive to tobacco seedling growth. It was recommended to spray 1∶ 200 preparations of bamboo vinegar and copper sulfate in floating system for tobacco seeding,which could promote tobacco seedling growth and reduce green algae to varying degrees.展开更多

Path analysis showed that moderate amount of green manure returned to field affected yield and quality of tobacco leaves, small green manure returned to field mainly affected leaf yield, while large amount of green manure returned to field mainly affected leaf quality. [Method] The variation of DNA copies of Bacillus megaterium, amylase activity, PPO, peroxydase and content of starch, ...[Objective] The aim was to construct the internal motivation of flued-cured tobacco natural aging. [Method] The variation of DNA copies of Bacillus megaterium, amylase activity, PPO, peroxydase and content of starch, neutro-protein, polyphenol in different aging period were investigated using Henan flue-cured tobacco leaves. [Result] Results showed that the DNA copies of Bacillus megaterium increased initially but decreased subsequently with the aging time. The DNA copies of Bacillus per gram of tobacco leaf surface reached the maximum number at 6 months aging. The activities of four enzymes showed the same variation trend as in DNA copies, and also reached the highest level at 6 months aging. Chemical ingredients, however, displayed a downward trend. The variation of enzyme activity and content of chemical composition were reflected in the changes of DNA copies in Bacillus megaterium. [Conclusion] The result indicate that Bacillus megaterium was the internal motivation of flue-cured tobacco natural aging.展开更多

Tobacco thrips, Frankliniella fusca, which is a vector of Tospovirus, is a serious pest of tobacco, peanuts, and cotton in the United States. It was said that immigration of the adult thrips from weed hosts into crop ...Tobacco thrips, Frankliniella fusca, which is a vector of Tospovirus, is a serious pest of tobacco, peanuts, and cotton in the United States. It was said that immigration of the adult thrips from weed hosts into crop fields is a cause of TSWV epidemy in the field. Recently this pest thrips was introduced into Japan. We investigated survival rate, developmental time, and fecundity of a Japanese strain of F. fusca on leaves of tobacco, peanut, and green bean at 18°C. Thrips could not complete larval development on 3 Nicotiana species, N. tabacum, N. gossei, and N. rustica. On the other hand, survival rate from hatching to adult emergence on peanut and green bean is 78% and 86%, respectively. A female adult thrips lived during about 25 days and deposited 101 eggs on green bean, but died within 10 days without ovipositing on Nicotiana spp. The tobacco is not a reproductive host plant that permits tobacco thrips to propagate, but an adult food source that is susceptible of TSWV.展开更多
