The Frontiers and Future Landscape of Research and Education on Value Rationality in Contemporary China

The importance of conducting in-depth research and education on value rationality in the new era is increasingly recognized.Therefore,it is essential to systematically grasp the themes,frontiers,and trends of research in this field,organizing the knowledge system to provide references for future studies.This necessitates clarifying the research achievements of scholars from different disciplines and institutions.Using the CiteSpace visualization analysis method,we can analyze,summarize,and synthesize research networks,hotspots,and knowledge structures,thereby forming a direction for advancing research.Through literature review methods and knowledge graph software analysis,it is believed that value rationality and instrumental rationality represent the rational attitudes individuals adopt when contemplating issues and putting them into practice.They are merely methods and should not be subjected to excessive value judgments.The relationship between value rationality and instrumental rationality is a focal point of societal concern,involving complex interdisciplinary issues with significant theoretical value and practical implications.In the future,the academic community needs to strengthen research collaboration,enhance the expansion of value rationality in various social practice fields,and conduct empirical studies to build consensus for the construction of Chinese society.

The Philosophical Underpinnings of Western HRM Theory

As a typical American Product, the Human resource management （HRM） system provides a strong sense of equity, of a trustworthy exchange relationship, and alleges that assessment and promotion mainly depend on an individual＇s merits. The critical perspectives of HRM reveal that the ＂soft＂ HRM offers a smokescreen for ＂hard＂ HRM to cover its unchanged reality, which emphasizes rationality, individualism, control and short-term orientation. This article analyzes the underlying philosophy of HRM, which offers the fundamental theoretical support for it, from four aspects： individualism, meritocracy, rationality and short-termism.

The monetary root of financialisation

Marxism has a strong influence on Western left-wing economists’understanding of financialisation,in that they regard financialisation as the consequence of the transformation of capitalism.Neoclassical economics and finance scholars tend to think of financialisation(financial development)as not exclusively occurring within the economic system of capitalism but as existing throughout an entire human history filled with numerous financial innovations.The unprecedented change of the monetary system ascribed to the collapse of the Bretton Woods System,among all historical and systemic changes,is the strongest underlying impetus to financialisation.Financialisation is the unintended consequence of a change in the monetary system from commodity money to credit money.Taking a more in-depth point of view,financialisation is philosophically a means for human beings to cope with the advent of a risk society,reflecting the advance of instrumental rationality,and hence is the embodiment of late modernity.

Key Issues and Compiling Approach of Accessibility Design Standards:A Case Study of Shenzhen

Both practice and research of accessible design in China are still in the initial stage,while the regulations and standardization of accessibility is taking shape.Under the framework of engineering standards based on instrumental rationality,to present the core value of humanism and to define the limitations of universal design in the standards are the key issues worth discussing continuously.By comparing the standards of China and abroad,this paper attempts to clarify the approaches for compiling the Accessibility Design Standards for Shenzhen.At the same time,it provides materials for discussion by showing the difficulties and assumptions during the compilation.
