Two dynamic grey models DGM (1, 1) for the verification cycle and the lifecycle of measuring instrument based on time sequence and frequency sequence were set up, according to the statistical feature of examination data and weighting method. By a specific case, i.e. vernier caliper, it is proved that the fit precision and forecast precision of the models are much higher, the cycles are obviously different under different working conditions, and the forecast result of the frequency sequence model is better than that of the time sequence model. Combining dynamic grey model and auto-manufacturing case the controlling and information subsystems of verification cycle and the lifecycle based on information integration, multi-sensor controlling and management controlling were given. The models can be used in production process to help enterprise reduce error, cost and flaw. 展开更多

In recent years, Web-based applications have become more and more complicated and a lot of efforts have been placed on introducing new technologies such as J2EE, PhP, and .NET, etc., which have been universally accepted as the development technologies for Web-based applications. However, there is no universally accepted process model for the development of Web-based applications. Moreover, shaping the process model for small medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which have limited resources, has been relatively neglected. Based on our previous work, this paper presents an expanded lifecycle process model for the development of Web-based applications in SMEs. It consists of three sets of processes, i.e., requirement processes, development processes, and evolution processes. Particularly, the post-delivery evolution processes are important to SMEs to develop and maintain quality web applications with limited resources and time. 展开更多

In terms of quality, evaluation stood in the spotlight for many years. However, software analysis and design based on quality models have been used mostly for understanding, rather than improving. In this work, we present a new model for the analysis and design of e-commerce software systems mapped to the software life-cycle process. Quality control procedures are mapped to every phase, from initiation and design to delivery. Among the numerous reported SFC methods, none of them could be found to fully satisfy to all steps of the analytical method lifecycle. Thereby, the present contribution aims to provide an overview of the current and past achievements related to SFC techniques, with a targeted attention to this lifecycle and its successive steps. The included discussions were therefore structured accordingly and emphasizing the analytical method lifecycle in accord with the International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH). The open space level indicates the alternation of the information, the integration of the structure and the modeling of the knowledge. Project management teams are critical in the implementation of megaprojects,but their evolution throughout the project lifecycle has not been clearly explained.This paper explores the organizational evolution of megaproject management teams through a longitudinal retrospective case study of the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge(HZMB)project.The organizational evolution is examined in terms of management objectives,management content,and organizational structure.The organizational evolution of the HZMB project management team exhibits stage differentiation with the coexistence of turbulence and stability.Changes in the external environment are the driving force for organizational evolution,whereas a flexible organizational strategy is critical in promoting this evolution.Basing on the HZMB case study,this paper summarizes six critical measures that facilitate the organizational evolution of megaproject management teams.Our findings add value to megaproject management theory and provide a better understanding of the dynamics and complexity of megaproject organizational management. 展开更多

Thecoal-to-liquidcoupledwithcarbon capture,utilization,and storage technology has the potential to reduce CO_(2)emissions,but its carbon footprint and cost assessment are still insufficient.In this paper,coal mining to oil production is taken as a life cycle to evaluate the carbon footprint and levelized costs of direct-coal-toliquid and indirect-coal-to-liquid coupled with the carbon capture utilization and storage technology under three scenarios:non capture,process capture,process and public capture throughout the life cycle.The results show that,first,the coupling carbon capture utilization and storage technology can reduce CO_(2)footprint by 28%-57%from 5.91 t CO_(2)/t:oil of direct-coal-to-liquid and 24%-49%from 7.10 t CO_(2)/t:oil of indirect-coal-to-liquid.Next,the levelized cost of direct-coal-to-liquid is 648-1027$/t of oil,whereas that of indirect-coal-to-liquid is 653-1065$/t of oil.When coupled with the carbon capture utilization and storage technology,the levelized cost of direct-coalto-liquid is 285-1364$/t of oil,compared to 1101-9793/t of oil for indirect-coal-to-liquid.Finally,sensitivity analysis shows that CO_(2)transportation distance has the greatest impact on carbon footprint,while coal price and initial investment cost significantly affect the levelized cost ofcoal-to-liquid. 展开更多

With the growing influence of slow population growth and population aging,China has established the birth policy and issued a series of documents to promote maternal and fetal health and improve the birth rate.With the increase in prevalence of birth defects,timely diagnosis and intervention in utero provide possibilities to reduce unnecessary abortions and offer better prognosis.Congenital heart disease(CHD),as one of the most common congenital birth defects,is the leading cause of mortality in patients aged<5 years,and brings a heavy burden to both the affected families and society.Fetuses with CHD are associated with an increased risk of pregnancy-related complications and premature birth,and children with CHD typically face growth and developmental problems even after the correction of malformation.Therefore,management including diagnosis,treatment,and rehabilitation throughout the fetal period into childhood and even adulthood is essential for children with CHD.Based on the rapid advances in intrauterine and perinatal medicine and an in-depth collaboration among obstetrics and pediatrics,a novel diagnosis and treatment system has been established for the management of CHD in the past 2 decades in Shanghai Xinhua Hospital.This Intrauterine Diagnosis and Treatment System and Comprehensive Lifecycle Health Service of Congenital Heart Disease model provides prenatal diagnosis,intrauterine intervention,delivery room service and neonatal therapies,and postintrauterine rehabilitation for children with CHD.We have developed a four-dimensional spatiotemporal image correlation echocardiography and a three-dimensional cardiac virtual endoscopy system for the intrauterine diagnosis of CHD,dramatically raising the diagnostic utility.Our innovative and independent newborn-intervention technique has effectively reduced the re-intervention rate in patients with pulmonary atresia with intact ventricular septum and critical pulmonary stenosis.In 2018,Xinhua Hospital independently performed the case of fetal aortic valvuloplasty in Asia through a multidepartment collaborative effort.All children treated in this system achieved biventricular circulation and a better long-term postoperative outcome.We also have conducted postoperative rehabilitation therapy to promote the development and health of children with CHD.The practice of Xinhua model has reduced unnecessary abortion of CHD fetuses,reduced the mortality rate associated with critical CHD,and improved the mid-and long-term prognosis in CHD,which is essential to promote the fertility level and children’s health.Furthermore,translational medicine platform and the birth cohort Early Life Plan was constructed to explore the origins of major developmental diseases and establish an early intervention model in CHD.This practice of assessment of the intrauterine system has been expanded to other congenital defects in Xinhua Hospital,and sequential treatment of more than 2,000 cases has been completed to date.Based on practice in intrauterine management of CHD and other diseases,the concept of Intrauterine Pediatrics was proposed as a first to emphasize early prevention and intervention of childhood diseases and promote a comprehensive lifecycle service for children.The development and evolution of this system requires further attention not only from researchers but also from the government and global medical communities. 展开更多

To comprehensively assess fi'actionated spacecraft, an assessment tool is developed based on lifecycle simulation under uncertainty driven by modular evolutionary stochastic models. First, fractionated spacecraft nomenclature and architecture are clarified, and assessment criteria are analyzed. The mean and standard deviation of risk adjusted lifecycle cost and net present value (NPV) are defined as assessment metrics. Second, fractionated spacecraft sizing models are briefly described, followed by detailed discussion on risk adjusted lifecycle cost and NPV models. Third, uncertainty sources over fractionated spacecraft life- cycle are analyzed and modeled with probability theory. Then the chronological lifecycle simulation process is expounded, and simulation modules are developed with object oriented methodology to build up the assessment tool. The preceding uncertainty models are integrated in these simulation modules, hence the random object status can be simulated and evolve with lifecycle timeline. A case study to investigate the fractionated spacecraft for a hypothetical earth observation mission is carried out with the proposed assessment tool, and the results show that fractionation degree and launch manifest have great influence on cost and NPV, and generally fractionated spacecraft is more advanced than its monolithic counterpart under uncertainty effect. Finally, some conclusions are given and future research topics are highlighted. 展开更多

Current defenses are typically categorized into active and passive measures that struggle to achieve comprehensive threat mitigation and often lack real-time response effectiveness. This paper presents an innovative ransomware defense system, ERAD, designed for healthcare environments that apply the MITRE ATT&CK Matrix to coordinate dynamic, stage-specific countermeasures throughout the ransomware attack lifecycle. By systematically identifying and addressing threats based on indicators of compromise (IOCs), the proposed system proactively disrupts the attack chain before serious damage occurs. Validation is provided through a detailed analysis of a system deployment against LockBit 3.0 ransomware, illustrating significant enhancements in mitigating the impact of the attack, reducing the cost of recovery, and strengthening the cybersecurity framework of healthcare organizations, but also applicable to other non-health sectors of the business world. 展开更多

As a foundation component of cloud computing platforms, Virtual Machines (VMs) are confronted with numerous security threats. However, existing solutions tend to focus on solving threats in a specific state of the VM. In this paper, we propose a novel VM lifecycle security protection framework based on trusted computing to solve the security threats to VMs throughout their entire lifecycle. Specifically, a concept of the VM lifecycle is presented divided up by the different active conditions of the VM. Then, a trusted computing based security protecti on framework is developed, which can exte nd the trusted relati on ship from trusted platform module to the VM and protect the security and reliability of the VM throughout its lifecycle. The theoretical analysis shows that our proposed framework can provide comprehensive safety to VM in all of its states. Furthermore, experiment results demonstrate that the proposed framework is feasible and achieves a higher level of security compared with some state-of-the-art schemes. 展开更多

In this paper, the lifecycle assessment (LCA) method is introduced to calculate the environmental impact loads of different types of energy resources (including coal, oil, natural gas, and electricity) used in urban regions. The scope of LCA includes the production, transportation, and consumption processes. The pollutant emission inventory is listed, and the environmental impact loads are acquired through the calculation of environmental impact potentials, normalization, and weighted assessment. The evaluation method is applied to Beijing, China, revealing that photochemical oxidant formation and acidification are the primary impact factors in the lifecycle of all energy resources and that the total environmental impact load increased steadily from 132.69 million person equivalents (PE) in 1996 to 208.97 million PE in 2010. Among the energy types, coal contributes most to the environmental impact, while the impacts caused by oil, natural gas, and electricity have been growing. The evaluation of the environmental impact of the urban energy lifecycle is useful for regulating energy structures and reducing pollution, which could help achieve sustainable energetic and environmental development. 展开更多
