In the field of industrial process control,a fast-development platform for programmable logic controller(PLC)systems is designed in order to solve two main problems of rapid development of PLC control system and progr...In the field of industrial process control,a fast-development platform for programmable logic controller(PLC)systems is designed in order to solve two main problems of rapid development of PLC control system and programmability of controlling software.In the aspect of design,the platform is composed of hardware controlling and software monitoring and is taking industrial computer as the core.Under the Windows environment,the platform establishes the control instruction set,develops the configuration function and visual programming function of the monitoring software and it integrates PLC controller based on Visual Basic software.In order to achieve the function of data monitoring,it has realized the serial communication between computer and PLC by using RS-485 and RS-232 serial ports line communication.The platform designs the intelligent instruction scheduling strategy by studying the encoding and decoding rules of the communication instruction set.It proposes a method for rapidly developing control programs by adopting the expert control mode,which enables clients to develop and modify programs conveniently by importing instructions in a non-coded manner.After experimental testing,the platform is proved successful achieving both the rapid development of PLC control system and the rapid modification of monitoring software.展开更多

Genetic Programming (GP) is an important approach to deal with complex problem analysis and modeling, and has been applied in a wide range of areas. The development of GP involves various aspects, including design of ...Genetic Programming (GP) is an important approach to deal with complex problem analysis and modeling, and has been applied in a wide range of areas. The development of GP involves various aspects, including design of genetic operators, evolutionary controls and implementations of heuristic strategy, evaluations and other mechanisms. When designing genetic operators, it is necessary to consider the possible limitations of encoding methods of individuals. And when selecting evolutionary control strategies, it is also necessary to balance search efficiency and diversity based on representation characteristics as well as the problem itself. More importantly, all of these matters, among others, have to be implemented through tedious coding work. Therefore, GP development is both complex and time-consuming. To overcome some of these difficulties that hinder the enhancement of GP development efficiency, we explore the feasibility of mutual assistance among GP variants, and then propose a rapid GP prototyping development method based on πGrammatical Evolution (πGE). It is demonstrated through regression analysis experiments that not only is this method beneficial for the GP developers to get rid of some tedious implementations, but also enables them to concentrate on the essence of the referred problem, such as individual representation, decoding means and evaluation. Additionally, it provides new insights into the roles of individual delineations in phenotypes and semantic research of individuals.展开更多
Robotic autonomous operating systems in global n40avigation satellite system(GNSS)-denied agricultural environments(green houses,feeding farms,and under canopy)have recently become a research hotspot.3D light detectio...Robotic autonomous operating systems in global n40avigation satellite system(GNSS)-denied agricultural environments(green houses,feeding farms,and under canopy)have recently become a research hotspot.3D light detection and ranging(LiDAR)locates the robot depending on environment and has become a popular perception sensor to navigate agricultural robots.A rapid development methodology of a 3D LiDAR-based navigation system for agricultural robots is proposed in this study,which includes:(i)individual plant clustering and its location estimation method(improved Euclidean clustering algorithm);(ii)robot path planning and tracking control method(Lyapunov direct method);(iii)construction of a robot-LiDAR-plant unified virtual simulation environment(combination use of Gazebo and SolidWorks);and(vi)evaluating the accuracy of the navigation system(triple evaluation:virtual simulation test,physical simulation test,and field test).Applying the proposed methodology,a navigation system for a grape field operation robot has been developed.The virtual simulation test,physical simulation test with GNSS as ground truth,and field test with path tracer showed that the robot could travel along the planned path quickly and smoothly.The maximum and mean absolute errors of path tracking are 2.72 cm,1.02 cm;3.12 cm,1.31 cm,respectively,which meet the accuracy requirements of field operations,establishing the effectiveness of the proposed methodology.The proposed methodology has good scalability and can be implemented in a wide variety of field robot,which is promising to shorten the development cycle of agricultural robot navigation system working in GNSS-denied environment.展开更多

This paper presents a preliminary study on the dielectric properties and curing of three different types of epoxy resins mixed at various stoichiometric mixture of hardener, flydust and aluminium powder under microwav...This paper presents a preliminary study on the dielectric properties and curing of three different types of epoxy resins mixed at various stoichiometric mixture of hardener, flydust and aluminium powder under microwave energy. In this work, the curing process of thin layers of epoxy resins using microwave radiation was investigated as an alternative technique that can' be implemented to develop a new rapid product development technique. In this study it was observed that the curing time and temperature were a function of the percentage of hardener and fillers presence in the epoxy resins. Initially dielectric properties of epoxy resins with hardener were measured which was directly correlated to the curing process in order to understand the properties of cured specimen. Tensile tests were conducted on the three different types of epoxy resins with hardener and fillers. Modifying dielectric properties of the mixtures a significant decrease in curing time was observed. In order to study the microstructural changes of cured specimen the morphology of the fracture surface was carried out by using scanning electron microscopy.展开更多
