The field experiment was laid in a 3 × 3 factorial experiment in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three (3) replications. The factor A included three (3) groundnut varieties (Nkatie Sari, Sum Nutt 22 and Yenyawoso) and Factor B was the three (3) spacing of 30 cm × 15 cm, 30 cm × 30 cm and 30 cm × 40 cm. All recommended agronomic practices were followed. Data was collected from eight (8) tagged plants. Growth data were recorded on plant height, number of branches, number of leaves, and the number of flowers while yield data were collected on the number of flowers, number of pods per plant, 100 seeds weight and the pod yield (kg/ha). The plant spacing significantly influenced (P < 0.05) the growth and yield parameters. Groundnut grown at a spacing of 30 cm × 15 cm produced the maximum plant height, whereas the maximum number of leaves, number of branches and number of flowers were produced from 30 cm × 40 cm. Yenyawoso variety with a wider plant spacing performed better vegetatively among all the varieties. [Method] Under fixed row spacing (120 cm), 4 treatments were designed (40, 50, 60 and 45 cm). The growth stages, agronomic traits, economic traits and chemical composition of flue-cured tobacco leaves were compared and analyzed. [Result] with the increase of plant spacing, there were no significant differences in the emergence time of growth stages be- tween different treatment groups before resettling stage, and the resettling stage ap- peared 1-2 d in advance. At different tobacco growth stages, the changing trends of tobacco agronomic traits with the change of plant spacing were different. [Conclusion] With the increase of plant spacing, the planting density of tobacco de- creased, and the nicotine content increased; and the yield of tobacco decreased continuously, while the quality was improved, but when the plant spacing was im- proved to certain degree, the quality of tobacco also decreased, and at the plant spacing of 50 cm, the output value of tobacco was the highest.展开更多

Analysis of the effect of axial spacing of two successive blade rows on the measured mean flow coefficient at stall inception and on the flow range of compressor under multi-cell rotating stall operating conditions proves that the stator can suppress the flow disturbance in the compressor and strengthen the stability of the compressor. Experimental data show that the stall flow coefficient decreases by reducing the axial spacing of successive blade rows. Moreover, by reducing the axial spacing, the stall pattern transition pace from multi-cell stall to single-cell stall can be shifted. And the compressor directly slips into single-cell stall at 21.0% CR axial spacing. By analyzing the pressure fluctuation closed to the surge line, it can be known that there exists an eigenfrequency where the amplitude of the oscillating pressure suddenly and dramatically increases as the compressor runs close to the surge line and this pressure disturbance is relevant to the compressor instability.展开更多

The results showed that the CO2 concentration in the intercellular space was the highest in M2N2, and was the lowest M1N1, with extremely significant differences. The net photosynthetic rate was the highest in M2N2 and the lowest in M3N3. In resettling and squaring stages, with the same spacing, the weights of root dry matter were growing in different treatments upon nitrogen quantity; the weight of dry matter in stem showed irregularity; the dry matter of leaf accumulation kept slow in early and end stages, but fast in middle stage. In the same growth stage, dry matter accumulation of leaf was higher than those of stem and root, and the proportion of tobacco leaf to the whole plant was decreasing though always kept above 50%. In general, it can be concluded from yield, quality and output value that M2N2 performed the best.展开更多

PVA-0.59 wt pct Eth was unidirectionally solidified in the range of growth velocity 0.5-64 μm/s at the temperature gradient of 2.3 K/ram. Sequential change in growth velocity was imposed to determine the upper and lower limits for the allowable range of stable spacing. An allowable range of the steady state primary spacing was observed at a given growth velocity, and the extent of the range seems to be dependent on the degree to which step-increase or step-decrease in growth velocity is accomplished. As the degree of sequential change in growth velocity increases, the history-dependence of the selection for the primary dendrite spacing tends to disappear.展开更多

By in-situ observation and photographing at different specific moments,it has been found that such a flow can cause a great change in primary spacings of constrained columnar crystals:for cells, the spacings become smaller;but for dendrites, they become larger. The former is mainly due to the tilted growth of upstreamside branches, while the latter is mainly due to the coup- ling effect of liquid flow with solutal field around dendrite tips. The faster the liquid flows, the further smaller the cell spacing and the further larger the dendrite spacing.展开更多

文摘Taking the three-riser group arranged in tandem as the research subject,an experimental study was carried out on the risers arranged in tandem. The purpose is to explore the sensitivity of the dynamic response of each riser to spacing ratio and reveal the physical mechanism of riser groups under the interference effect. The spacing ratios of the adj acent risers are 4.0,5.0,6.0,and 8.0.At the spacing between the risers of 4.0D,the strong feedback effect increases the cross-flow(CF) displacement amplitude of the upstream riser. The shielding effect is the key factor affecting the interference effect on the midstream and downstream risers. At low reduced velocities, the shielding area initially appears, the displacement amplitude of the midstream and downstream risers varies greatly, the vibration of the two risers is still dominated by the first-order mode, and the transition between adjacent vibration modes is restrained. The multi-frequency superposition phenomenon is very significant at high reduced velocities. The most sensitive interference spacing under the test conditions is obtained.Due to the separation of the incoming flow and the double shielding effect of the upstream and midstream risers, the regular vortex-induced vibration in the wake area of the downstream riser is broken, and the vibration in the two directions is weakened. In general, the interference effect is more significant for the CF vibration of the three-riser groups than the in-line(IL) vibration.

文摘Fractures occur in nearly all rocks at the Earth’s surface and exert essential control on the mechanical strengths of rock masses and permeability. The fractures strongly impact the stability of geological or man-made structures and flow of water and hydrocarbons,CO_(2) and storing waste. For this, the dependence of opening mode fracture spacing(s)on bed thickness(t)in sedimentary basins(reservoirs)is studied in this context. This paper shows that the MichaeliseMenten equation can provide an algebraic expression for the nonlinear s-t relationship. The two parameters have clear geological meanings:a is the maximum fracture spacing which can no longer increase with increasing t,and b is the characteristic bed thickness when s=0.5a.The tensile fracture strength(C)of the brittle beds during the formation of tensile fractures can be estimated from the two parameters. For sandstones of 16 areas reported in the literature,C ranges from 2.7 MPa to 15.7 MPa with a mean value of 8 MPa,which lies reasonably within the range of tensile strengths determined experimentally. This field-based approach by means of MichaeliseMenten equation provides a new method for estimating the tensile fracture strength of rock layers under natural conditions.

文摘The traditional tenon and mortise joint has low processing efficiency and a weak theoretical basis, making the structure easy to deform and damage, reducing the safety, and increasing waste of resources. This study aims to determine the optimum dowel center spacing parameter for chamfered-joint components and the maximum value of the strength of joints loaded into bending strength and tensile strength. In this study,an integrated opti-mization method combining the single-factor test and one-way ANOVA analysis was proposed to study the influ-ence of the dowel center spacing on the bending strength and the tensile strength of chamfered-joint components made by Cupressus funebris wood. The results revealed that the bending strength of chamfered-joint components decreases linearly with the increase of the dowel center spacing. In addition, the tensile strength of chamfered-joint components increases first and then decreases with the increase of the dowel center spacing, showing para-bola change. The relational expression between dowel center spacing, the bending strength, dowel center spacing and the tensile strength were obtained.

文摘Primary dendrite arm spacing(PDAS) of α phase in directionally solidified Pb-26%Bi(mass fraction) hypo-peritectic alloys was measured by considering the effect of melt convection in cylindrical samples with different diameters. The experimental results show the measured PDAS increases with increasing diameter of the sample. At the growth velocity of 5 μm/s,its value changes from 161.5 μm for the sample with 1.8 mm in diameter to 240.4 μm for the sample with 7 mm in diameter. The strong melt convection in large diameter samples causes a high bulk alloy composition and a high concentration gradient in peritectic β phase, resulting in a larger PDAS.Simultaneously, the high concentration gradient could effectively promote the peritectic transformation, enhancing the dissolution of the thin α dendrite.

文摘[Objective] This study was conducted to investigate the effects of different plant spacing on tobacco grade structure, growth stages, agronomic traits, yield and chemical composition under fixed row spacing. [Conclusion] With the increase of plant spacing, the planting density of tobacco de- creased, and the nicotine content increased; and the yield of tobacco decreased continuously, while the quality was improved, but when the plant spacing was im- proved to certain degree, the quality of tobacco also decreased, and at the plant spacing of 50 cm, the output value of tobacco was the highest.

文摘Using a split plot design, super high-yielding early rice "Zhongjiazao 17"and "Ganxin 203" and super high-yielding late rice "Ganxin 688" and "Wufengy-ouT025" were taken as materials with planting density the same at 312 000 hil s/hm2, to explore the effects of RS/IS (Ratio of row spacing to intrarow row spacing) on yield, top three leaves morphological features and its relationship of them in 2011 and 2012. The results showed that, whether early or late rice, biomass, accumula-tion and apparent utilizing rate of nitrogen were lower in RS/IS5.0 (40.0 cm ×8.0 cm) treatment, but yield of rice was higher in RS/IS2.0 (25.0 cm ×12.8 cm) treatment;grain numbers per spike of rice was more in RS/IS2.8 (30.0 cm×10.7 cm) treatment, and thousand-grain weight of rice was higher in RS/IS1.3 (20.0 cm×16.0 cm) treat-ment. For 4 varieties of early or late rice aforementioned, basal angle, opening an-gle and leaf area of 2nd leaf from top were larger in RS/IS5.0 treatment, and basal angle and opening angle were smal er in RS/IS2.0 treatment and leaf area smal er in RS/IS1.3 treatment.
文摘Experimental studies are carried out at a low speed axial compressor with five different rotor/stator gaps. By analyzing the pressure fluctuation closed to the surge line, it can be known that there exists an eigenfrequency where the amplitude of the oscillating pressure suddenly and dramatically increases as the compressor runs close to the surge line and this pressure disturbance is relevant to the compressor instability.

文摘Taking the flue-cured tobacco variety K326 as material, the research conducted field experiment to study the effects of quantity of nitrogen fertilizer and plant spacing on tobacco photosynthesis, dry matter accumulation, yield and quality. In general, it can be concluded from yield, quality and output value that M2N2 performed the best.
文摘Unidirectional solidification of pivalic acid (PVA)-ethanol (Eth) mixture was performed to examine whether an allowable range of primary dendrite spacing definitely exists at a given growth velocity and how the range is history-dependent. As the degree of sequential change in growth velocity increases, the history-dependence of the selection for the primary dendrite spacing tends to disappear.
文摘An experimental apparatus, which has a convection generator and an aid-heater,is developed for the study of the effect of stable laminar liquid flow on the directional solidification process by the use of transparent alloy SCN-2wt-% Ace.The flow is perpendicular to primary arms. The faster the liquid flows, the further smaller the cell spacing and the further larger the dendrite spacing.
文摘WT8.BZ]A new quasi 2-dimensional analytical approach to predicting the ring voltage, edge peak fields and optimal spacing of the planar junction with a single floating field limiting ring structure has been proposed, based on the cylindrical symmetric solution and the critical field concept. The effects of the spacing and reverse voltage on the ring junction voltage and edge peak field profiles have been analyzed. The optimal spacing and the maximum breakdown voltage of the structure have also been obtained. The analytical results are in excellent agreement with that obtained from the 2-D device simulator,MEDICI and the reported result, which proves the presented model valid.
