SITUATED on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, north of Dongting Lake, Hubei is known as a province with a thousand lakes and a fertile “land of fish and rice.” Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei, was one of the “four famous ancient towns,” together with Zhuxian Town in Henan, Jingdezhen in Jiangxi, and Foshan in Guangdong, in the late Ming Dynasty (1368 -1644) and early Qing Dynasty (1644- 1911), as it was not only connected with nine provinces on land but also the ocean through the Yangtze River. Since the beginning of this century, Wuhan has been regarded as the economic center of central China, with the value of its imports and exports ranking second only next to Shanghai, ahead of both Tianjin and Guangzhou.

Application of Patient Simulators Combined with Internet plus Scenario Simulation Teaching Models on Intravenous Infusion Nursing Education in China

Objective: To explore the effectiveness of applying patient simulators combined with Internet Plus scenario simulation teaching models on intravenous (IV) infusion nursing education, and to provide scientific evidence for the implementation of advanced teaching models in future nursing education. Methods: Enrolled 60 nurses who took the IV infusion therapy training program in our hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 for research. 30 nurses who were trained in traditional teaching models from January to December 2022 were selected as the control group, and 30 nurses who were trained with simulation-based teaching models with methods including simulated patients, internet, online meetings which can be replayed and scenario simulation, etc. from January to December 2023 were selected as the experimental group. Evaluated the learning outcomes based on the Competency Inventory for Nursing Students (CINS), Problem-Solving Inventory (PSI), comprehensive learning ability, scientific research ability, and proficiency in the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of IV infusion therapy. Nursing quality, the incidence of IV infusion therapy complications and nurse satisfaction with different teaching models were also measured. Results: The scientific research ability, PSI scores, CINS scores, and comprehensive learning ability of the experimental group were better than those of the control group (P 0.05), and their assessment results of practical skills, nursing quality of IV infusion therapy during training, and satisfaction with teaching models were all better than those of the control group with statistical significance (P < 0.05). The incidence of IV infusion therapy complications in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, indicating statistical significance (P < 0.05). Conclusions: Teaching models based on patient simulators combined with Internet Plus scenario simulation enable nursing students to learn more directly and practice at any time and in any place, and can improve their proficiency in IV infusion theoretical knowledge and skills (e.g. PICC catheterization), core competencies, problem-solving ability, comprehensive learning ability, scientific research ability and the ability to deal with complicated cases. Also, it helps provide high-quality nursing education, improve the nursing quality of IV therapy, reduce the incidence of related complications, and ensure the safety of patients with IV therapy.

Comparison of the Development Model of DTP Pharmacy between China and the United States and Its Enlightenment

Objective To systematically analyze the development status of DTP pharmacy in the United States and China,and to find out the problems in China’s DTP pharmacy and put forward some countermeasures and suggestions.Methods Relevant literature was searched and reviewed to study the history,market scale and development trend of DTP pharmacy in the United States and China.Then,the problems in China’s DTP pharmacy were found out.Results and Conclusion DTP pharmacy model in the U.S.has taken shape and is maturing.The high degree of industry concentration is an important feature of the U.S.pharmacy.In contrast,China’s DTP pharmacy started late,and the industry pattern has not yet been finalized.There are still some problems in the DTP pharmacy certification and quality management.It is recommended to promote the rapid development of DTP pharmacies in China by encouraging the outflow of prescription drugs,establishing a third-party pharmacy accreditation organization and strengthening the team of licensed pharmacists and other personnel.

An Investigation on the Application of Online and Offline Hybrid Teaching in Local Anatomy Course of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Specialty

The purpose of this paper is to explore the application of online and offline blended teaching in local anatomy courses of acupuncture specialty.It introduces the concept and characteristics of blended teaching mode and analyzes the respective advantages of online and offline teaching as well as the advantages and application prospects of blended teaching mode.The teaching status quo of local anatomy courses in acupuncture and moxibustion is analyzed,pointing out the problems of the traditional teaching mode and the application prospect of the blended teaching mode.In the practical part,the preparation and design of online teaching resources,the design of offline practical teaching sessions,and the evaluation methods of teaching effect are introduced in detail.This study aims to provide new teaching modes and ideas for teaching acupuncture and moxibustion and promote the improvement of teaching quality.

A Study of Health Prescribing for Children with Tourette’s Disorders in Children’s Health Education Specialty Care Clinics

Objective:This study designs and implements the health prescription of children’s health education specialized nursing clinic based on the physical and mental characteristics of children with Tourette’s syndrome.Methods:Applying the evidence-based nursing model and nursing intervention theory based on the survey research by searching China Knowledge Network,Wanfang Database and Wipro Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database,the study collected the literature on the health prescription intervention research in children’s Tourette’s disorders health education in children’s health education of specialized nursing outpatient clinic for review and combined with the specialty characteristics to formulate“Children’s Tourette’s Disorder Health Education Prescription.”Results:Tourette’s syndrome in children is a common pediatric neurological disorder,mainly manifested as involuntary,rapid and repeated muscle twitching and vocal tics,which brings serious psychological pressure and life disturbance to the affected children.Conclusion:For children with Tourette’s syndrome,healthcare professionals should give enough care and understanding to the children and their parents,provide timely and effective health education to them,help them improve their bad behavioral habits,establish correct cognitive attitudes,enhance self-confidence,improve patient compliance,reduce the frequency of recurrence,reduce the incidence of complications and promote children’s physical and mental health development.

Transversal Competences and Clinic Tutorship: Appreciation by Graduated Nursing Specialists

Background: Transversal competences are included in the United Nations Organization 2030 Agenda for the formation of staff professional in higher education, having disciplinary and transversal skills to develop individual, professional, social, and entrepreneurship at present time, creative individuals being able to solve social problems via collaboration. The aim was to evaluate the transversal competences developed by graduates, specialists in nursing with the accompaniment of clinic tutorship. Methods: Qualitative, phenomenological, and interpretative research. The informants were seven graduates from the Unique Program of Nursing Specialties (UPNS), from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), one participant from each knowledge field: Nursing in the Elderly, Public Health, Neurology, Physical and Sports Culture, Oncology, and two participants from Adult in Critical Condition. Information collection was through a focal group, and data analysis according to the principles of Souza Minayo. Signed informed consent was obtained previously. Results: Five categories with 24 sub-categories emerged. Category 1, Student’s perception on clinic tutorship specialty. Category 2, Competences promoted by clinic tutorship according to student’s experience. Category 3, Experiences about clinic tutorship planning. Category 4, Challenges faced by the student in the evaluation of clinic tutorship. Category 5, Opportunity fields in clinic tutorship from students’ experiences. Conclusion: Graduate students from the specialties describe transversal competences related with decision taking, collaborative work, and increase of population welfare, as well as generic disciplinary competences. The analogy of a social hinge between the clinic tutor and the student is highlighted, which allows to identify mobile and fixed components while the bolt that binds mentor with mentee is learning, by means of the accompaniment by an expert. .

Transversal Competencies of a Clinical Mentor in Nursing Graduate Studies

Introduction: The focus of clinical mentoring in nursing specialists is to develop both generic or transversal skills, as well as specific skills needed to assess their profile and become a graduate student under the guidance of experts. Objective: The objective of this study is to diagnose the transversal competencies of clinical mentors from the Unique Program of Nursery Specialties (UPNS) in student body training. Method: This study utilized a descriptive and phenomenological interpretative approach. Twelve informants from UPNS participated, and the variables were clinical mentoring and transversal competencies from novice and senior mentors. Two focus groups were conducted for data collection, and data analysis was performed according to Strauss and Corbin. All participants provided signed informed consent. Results: Post-analysis of qualitative data revealed three categories with subcategories. Category 1: Strengths of clinical mentors in three dimensions. Sub-categories: 1.1) PD: Academic and personal companionship;1.2) PD: Guidance with humanist focus and feedback from mentor to student in real scenarios;1.3) PD: Guidance in the teaching-learning process;1.4) DD: Integration of theoretical-practical knowledge and development of advanced abilities in nursing for clinical practice;1.5) CD: Responsibility and commitment from student’s characteristics to group’s general statements. Category 2: Competencies that lead the clinical mentor in pedagogy, discipline and generic dimensions, reported 9 subcategories six of them focused on the didactics of clinical mentors, and three on the interpersonal communication between mentors. Category 3: Opportunity areas to develop by the clinical mentor. From a mentor’s perspective, eight subcategories revealed transversal competencies that define a clinical mentor for UPNS. In this state, competencies are oriented toward the pedagogical and interpersonal communication dimensions, but central aspects are recognized between disciplines, namely, precise theoretical-practical knowledge, clinical experience in the field of specialty, certification as a specialist, and updated knowledge. Conclusions: The profile of clinical mentors from UPNS clearly identifies transversal competencies in clinical teaching and interpersonal communication, both of which are important. In terms of professional competencies, there are leaders in nursing specialty, meaning that these competencies are specific in such cases.

Where is the optimal plane to mobilize the anterior rectal wall in female patients undergoing total mesorectal excision?

BACKGROUND Since Heald proposed the total mesorectal excision(TME)procedure,the prognosis of patients with rectal cancer has been significantly improved.But Heald did not specifically describe the anterior surgical plane in female patients.And the surgical plane for mobilizing the anterior rectal wall during TME surgery in female patients remains controversial.AIM To investigate the anatomy of the female pelvis and identify the optimal plane for mobilizing the anterior rectal wall.METHODS We retrospectively collected surgical procedure videos and clinical data of female patients diagnosed with middle or low rectal cancer who underwent the TME procedure between January 2020 and October 2022 across six hospitals.The patients were divided into two groups based on the surgical approach used to mobilize the anterior rectal wall:The experimental group was to open the peritoneum at the lowest point of the peritonea reflection and enter the plane for mobilizing,while the control group was cut at 0.5-1 cm above the peritoneal reflection and enter another plan.Then,we compared the preoperative and postoperative information between the two groups.We also dissected and observed ten adult female pelvises to analyze the anatomic structure and compare the entry plane between the two approaches.Finally,we researched the pathological structure between the rectum and the vagina.RESULTS Finally,77 cases that met the criteria were included in our study.Our observations revealed that the experimental group underwent a smooth procedure,entering the plane amidst the mesorectal fascia and adventitia of the vagina,whereas the control group entered the plane between the vaginal adventitia and muscle layers.Compared to the control group,the experimental group showed a significant decrease in intraoperative bleeding[22.5(19.5-50)mL vs 17(5-20)mL,P=0.01],as well as a shorter duration of hospitalization[9(7-11.25)d vs 7(6-10)d,P=0.03].Through the examination of surgical videos and cadaveric studies,we discovered that Denonvilliers'fascia is absent in females.Additionally,pathological sections further revealed the absence of Denonvilliers'fascia in females,with only loose connective tissue present between the mesorectal fascia and adventitia of the vagina.CONCLUSION The plane amidst the mesorectal fascia and vaginal adventitia is the optimal surgical plane to mobilize the anterior rectal wall for female patients undergoing the TME procedure.

Research on the Training of Interdisciplinary-Based Intelligent Manufacturing Talents

As a significant field of research under the 14th Five Year Plan,intelligent manufacturing holds a special position in industrial upgrading and core technology independence.Intelligent manufacturing is an important support for building a“scientific and technological power”in the future.Cultivating creative interdisciplinary talents who can adapt to the development of intelligent manufacturing industry in the new era is of great significance for China to realize the modernization and autonomy of its industrial system.In view of the existing gap between the interdisciplinary talent training of intelligent manufacturing and the actual needs of the industry,this paper focuses on the concept of interdisciplinary construction.Based on the cycle improvement of professional construction,a curriculum system that integrates the interaction of interconnected projects is established.Through four specific measures,namely establishing the collaborative development system of intelligent manufacturing specialty,building a cycle diagnosis and reform system of intelligent manufacturing specialty,improving the curriculum system of integrated modular specialty group,and setting up an application scenario project-based curriculum,we hope to provide reference for the cross-training of compound intelligent manufacturing talents.

The Communicative Competencies Depicted in “Buthsarana”

The characteristic of any literary tradition is to enhance the knowledge of human beings psychologically,biologically,and philosophically.This characteristic is seen in most of the literary creations of classical Sinhala literary tradition.The literary features of classical Sinhala literary tradition are enriched with its own communication competencies,which are created to up lift the noble and spiritual qualities.This study was completed by studying the communication competencies depicted in classical Sinhala literary tradition,in relation to“Buthsarana”,which was written by Vidyachakrawarthi,in the early part of Dambadeniya Era.Accordingly,the research was done based on the features such as narrative style,writing techniques,language techniques,performing ability,and social analysis.Vidyachakrawarthi in his book brings forth the“Nava Arahaadi Budu Guna”(Nine Great Qualities)of Lord Buddha using the devotive path to enhance the wisdom of devotees.In that process Vidyachakrawarthi uses a creative communication method.An inherent narrative style,prose writing rules and styles are used to present the content regularly.Moreover,the content of the stories has been created by occupying language techniques and social analysis,while making it easy to understand the“Nava Arahaadi Budu Guna”of Lord Buddha.Therefore,a perspicuous narrative style and creative language competency are included in“Buthsarana”.The agreement of the format and the content specialties are capable of providing the reader with inter cultural understanding,building cultural relationships,new ways of thinking,by creating devotion in the minds of the reader.Therefore,“Buthsarana”has provided the society with physical and mental motivation.Thus it could be shown that,with the success of the format and the communication competency included,“Buthsarana”is an effective communication mode which is capable of awaking the critical thinking of the reader.
