And its CARMA model was built. Two adaptive control schemes, the minimum variance self tuning control algorithm and the pole configuration self tuning control algorithm, were proposed. The former can make the variance of the output minimum while the latter can make dynamic behavior satisfying. The stability of the two schemes was analyzed. Simulations of them show that the acceleration in the vertical direction has been reduced greatly. The purpose of reducing vibration is realized. The two schemes can reduce the vibration in the suspension and have some practicability.展开更多

The dynamic characteristics and non- collocated situation have long been the source of difficulties in motion and vibration control, and deterio- rate the achieved accuracy of the axis motion. In this study, a dynamic model using a frequency-based sub- structure approach is established, considering the flexibilities and their variation. The position-dependent variation of the dynamic characteristics is then fully investigated. A corresponding control strategy, which is composed of a modal characteristic modifier (MCM) and an intelligent adaptive tuning algorithm (ATA), is then developed. The MCM utilizes a combination of peak filters and notch filters, thereby shaping the plant dynamics into a virtual collocated system and avoiding control spillover. An ATA using an artificial neural network (ANN) as a smooth parameter interpolator updates the parameters of the filters in real time in order to cope with the feed drive's dynamic variation. Numerical verification of the effectiveness and robustness of the orooosed strategy is shown for a real feed drive.展开更多

The mathematical analysis is based on the application of tuned genetic algorithm (TGA). The analyses for optimal power operation pertaining to minimum cost have been made for two cases in Indian power delivery system. The first case deals with the consumers' individual optimal operation of DERs, while in the second one, consumers altogether form a microgrid with the optimal supply of power from DERs. The total annual costs for these two cases are found to be economically competitive and encouraging. A reduction of approximately 5.7% in the annual cost has been obtained in the case of microgid system than that in the separately operating consumers' system for a small locality of India. It is observed that the application of TGA results in a reduction of the minimum cost depicting an improved outcome in terms of energy economy.展开更多
