In this era of post-COVID-19,humans are psychologically restricted to interact less with other humans.According to the world health organization(WHO),there are many scenarios where human interactions cause severe mult...In this era of post-COVID-19,humans are psychologically restricted to interact less with other humans.According to the world health organization(WHO),there are many scenarios where human interactions cause severe multiplication of viruses from human to human and spread worldwide.Most healthcare systems shifted to isolation during the pandemic and a very restricted work environment.Investigations were done to overcome the remedy,and the researcher developed different techniques and recommended solutions.Telepresence robot was the solution achieved by all industries to continue their operations but with almost zero physical interaction with other humans.It played a vital role in this perspective to help humans to perform daily routine tasks.Healthcare workers can use telepresence robots to interact with patients who visit the healthcare center for initial diagnosis for better healthcare system performance without direct interaction.The presented paper aims to compare different telepresence robots and their different controlling techniques to perform the needful in the respective scenario of healthcare environments.This paper comprehensively analyzes and reviews the applications of presented techniques to control different telepresence robots.However,our feature-wise analysis also points to specific technical,appropriate,and ethical challenges that remain to be solved.The proposed investigation summarizes the need for further multifaceted research on the design and impact of a telepresence robot for healthcare centers,building on new perceptions during the COVID-19 pandemic.展开更多

The major control strategies discussed in this paper are: peak current control, average current control, hysteresis control, borderline current control and non-linear control. These strategies are implemented in MATLAB/SIMULINK and the performance of the proposed converter is compared under open loop and closed loop operation. From the results, the input current waveform was close to input voltage waveform implying improved power factor and reduced total harmonic distortion for nonlinear current control technique. The fuzzy logic systems in Mamdani type are used to approximate unknown nonlinear functions. A design scheme of the robust adaptive fuzzy controller is proposed by use of the backstepping technique. The proposed controller guarantees semi-global uniform ultimate boundedness of all the signals in the derived closed-loop system and achieves the good tracking performance. The possible controller singularity problem which may occur in some existing adaptive control schemes with feedback linearization techniques can be avoided. In addition, the number of the on-line adaptive parameters is not more than the order of the designed system. Finally, two simulation examples are used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.展开更多

Aimed at the disadvantages of secondary damage to oil layers caused by the conventional bull-heading water control technique, a thermo-sensitive temporary plugging agent for water control was synthesized by water solu...Aimed at the disadvantages of secondary damage to oil layers caused by the conventional bull-heading water control technique, a thermo-sensitive temporary plugging agent for water control was synthesized by water solution polymerization and applied in the field with a new secondary temporary plugging technique. The optimization and performance evaluation of thermo-sensitive temporary plugging agent were carried out through laboratory experiments. The optimized formula is as follows:(6%-8%) acrylamide +(0.08%-0.12%) ammonium persulfate +(1.5%-2.0%) sepiolite +(0.5%-0.8%) polyethylene glycol diacrylate. The thermo-sensitive temporary plugging agent is suitable for formation temperatures of 70-90 ?C, it has high temporary plugging strength(5-40 k Pa), controllable degradation time(1-15 d), the apparent viscosity after degradation of less than 100 m Pa?S and the permeability recovery value of simulated cores of more than 95%. Based on the research results, secondary temporary plugging technique was used in a horizontal well in the Jidong Oilfield. After treatment, the well saw a drop of water cut to 27%, and now it has a water cut of 67%, its daily increased oil production was 4.8 t, and the cumulative oil increment was 750 t, demonstrating that the technique worked well in controlling water production and increasing oil production.展开更多

It is unstable without control. The process is non linear and unstable with one input signal and several output signals. It is hence obvious that feedback of the state of the pendulum is needed to stabilize the pendulum. The aim of the study is to stabilize the pendulum such that the position of the carriage on the track is controlled quickly and accurately. The problem involves an arm, able to move horizontally in angular motion, and a pendulum, hinged to the arm at the bottom of its length such that the pendulum can move in the same plane as the arm. The conventional PID controller can be used for virtually any process condition. This makes elimination the offset of the proportional mode possible and still provides fast response. In this paper, we have modelled the system and studied conventional controller and LQR controller. It is observed that the LQR method works better compared to conventional controller.展开更多

It is used to measure the apparent resistivity of subsurface. EHR technique was developed in order to get detail and deeper penetration for shallow subsurface study. In this study, 2-D resistivity with Enhancing Horizontal Resolution (EHR) technique is adopted to map and characterize the shallow subsurface (mineral exploration, geology, engineering and environment) using Pole-dipole array. The locations are Pagoh, Johor;Nusajaya, Johor and Puchong, Selangor (Malaysia). The study associated with mineral exploration is Pagoh, Johor while for Nusajaya, Johor is associated with geology and Puchong, Selangor is associated with engineering and environment. The 2-D resistivity and Induced polarization (IP) were employed at Pagoh, Johor to study and detect the subsurface variation of resistivity and chargeability of iron ore in the area. Result of the 2-D resistivity as well as the Induced Polarization (IP) shows that the area is underlain by a thick alluvium with resistivity value of 10 - 800 ohm-m iron which has chargeability rate of 0.1 - 3 msec. A sedimentary case study was executed at Nusajaya, Johor shows sandstone contains iron mineral (30 - 250 ohm-m) and weathered sandstone (500 -1000 ohm-m). Interpretation of 2-D resistivity data at Puchong, Selangor showed a low resistivity value (< 40 ohm-m), which appears to be a zone that is fully saturated with sandy silt and this could be an influence factor the increasing water level because sandy silt is highly permeable in nature. The borehole, support the results of 2-D resistivity method relating a saturated zone in the survey area. There is a good correlation between the 2-D resistivity investigations and the results of borehole records. The stratigraphy and structure of the three case studies (mineral exploration, geology, engineering and environment) can be mapped effectively using 2-D resistivity with EHR technique.展开更多

Five fine poplar cultivars resistant to the bacterial canker have been obtained by screening tests. They are Lz2(Populus simonii × nigra var. italica), A15(P. × sp.), 613(P. × sp.), A102and A98(P. × simonii × sp.). The following chemicals are obviously effective, such as: 50% DT germicide, 40% XF-136 and 10% C.C.M.A. or 12.5% ramphencol and 50,000 ppm/ml validamycin, with which the stems or the roots can be watered.展开更多

This article mainly investigates the fuzzy optimization robust control issue for nonlinear networked systems characterized by the interval type-2(IT2)fuzzy technique under a differential evolution algorithm.To provide...This article mainly investigates the fuzzy optimization robust control issue for nonlinear networked systems characterized by the interval type-2(IT2)fuzzy technique under a differential evolution algorithm.To provide a more reasonable utilization of the constrained communication channel,a novel adaptive memory event-triggered(AMET)mechanism is developed,where two event-triggered thresholds can be dynamically adjusted in the light of the current system information and the transmitted historical data.Sufficient conditions with less conservative design of the fuzzy imperfect premise matching(IPM)controller are presented by introducing the Wirtinger-based integral inequality,the information of membership functions(MFs)and slack matrices.Subsequently,under the IPM policy,a new MFs intelligent optimization technique that takes advantage of the differential evolution algorithm is first provided for IT2 TakagiSugeno(T-S)fuzzy systems to update the fuzzy controller MFs in real-time and achieve a better system control effect.Finally,simulation results demonstrate that the proposed control scheme can obtain better system performance in the case of using fewer communication resources.展开更多
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of chronic total occlusion (CTO) represents the most technically challenging procedure in contemporary interventional cardiology.[1] Blunt lesions and presence of proximal side...Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of chronic total occlusion (CTO) represents the most technically challenging procedure in contemporary interventional cardiology.[1] Blunt lesions and presence of proximal side branch are considered to be strong predictors of reduced technical success.[ 2,3] For such lesions, the antegrade approach may not be feasible or desirable, and the retrograde approach can be used as the initial crossing strategy. However, when treating the blunt CTO with a large side branch proximal to the occlusion, the side branch might be occluded after stent implantation if the retrograde guidewire passed the occluded segment through the subintimal space and re-entered into the true lumen at the opposite side of the side branch.[4] We reported a useful method to solve the above issue which utilizes intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) to guide “extended” reverse controlled antegrade and retrograde subintimal tracking (CART) technique with a cutting balloon.展开更多
Due to the attractive performances such as the ability of beam focus,broadband,multi-beam scanning and other features,Luneburg lens antennas are applied in multi-beam antenna,which overcomes the problem of gain loss p...Due to the attractive performances such as the ability of beam focus,broadband,multi-beam scanning and other features,Luneburg lens antennas are applied in multi-beam antenna,which overcomes the problem of gain loss produced by multi-beam parabolic antenna.Based on 3-D printing technique,Luneburg lens antennas by drilling holes are studied.Permittivity and loss tangent of the equivalent lens materials can be influenced by original materials,hole shapes,hole directions,and porosity.After tests,polystyrene with waxes may be the most appropriate materials for Luneburg lens with high strength.Permittivity with the shape of triangle is the lowest due to the homogeneity.Relative permittivities with the direction at a range of 15°-45°are lower while loss tangent at a range of 0°-30°.Radial directional holes are more appropriate for Luneburg lens.The relative permittivity is decreased with the increment of porosity.After calculations,the forecasts calculated by Looyenga and A-BG theory are more precise.Finally,Luneburg lens with two layers is fabricated by 3-D printing.展开更多

It is pointed out that only the H∞disturbance attenuation problem with no weighting functions can meet these conditions, hence, the application of the lifting technique is quite limited.

文摘Aimed at the disadvantages of secondary damage to oil layers caused by the conventional bull-heading water control technique, a thermo-sensitive temporary plugging agent for water control was synthesized by water solution polymerization and applied in the field with a new secondary temporary plugging technique. The optimization and performance evaluation of thermo-sensitive temporary plugging agent were carried out through laboratory experiments. The optimized formula is as follows:(6%-8%) acrylamide +(0.08%-0.12%) ammonium persulfate +(1.5%-2.0%) sepiolite +(0.5%-0.8%) polyethylene glycol diacrylate. The thermo-sensitive temporary plugging agent is suitable for formation temperatures of 70-90 ?C, it has high temporary plugging strength(5-40 k Pa), controllable degradation time(1-15 d), the apparent viscosity after degradation of less than 100 m Pa?S and the permeability recovery value of simulated cores of more than 95%. Based on the research results, secondary temporary plugging technique was used in a horizontal well in the Jidong Oilfield. After treatment, the well saw a drop of water cut to 27%, and now it has a water cut of 67%, its daily increased oil production was 4.8 t, and the cumulative oil increment was 750 t, demonstrating that the technique worked well in controlling water production and increasing oil production.
文摘The inverted pendulum is a classic problem in dynamics and control theory and is widely used as a benchmark for testing control algorithms. It is unstable without control. The process is non linear and unstable with one input signal and several output signals. It is hence obvious that feedback of the state of the pendulum is needed to stabilize the pendulum. The aim of the study is to stabilize the pendulum such that the position of the carriage on the track is controlled quickly and accurately. The problem involves an arm, able to move horizontally in angular motion, and a pendulum, hinged to the arm at the bottom of its length such that the pendulum can move in the same plane as the arm. The conventional PID controller can be used for virtually any process condition. This makes elimination the offset of the proportional mode possible and still provides fast response. In this paper, we have modelled the system and studied conventional controller and LQR controller. It is observed that the LQR method works better compared to conventional controller.
文摘Coal bed methane control with low permeability is a hot issue at present. The current status of coal bed methane control in China is introduced. The government-support policies on coal bed methane control are presented. This paper proposes the theories of methane control in depressurized mining, including methane extraction in depressurized mining, simultaneous mining technique of coal and methane without coal pillar, and circular overlying zone for high-efficiency methane extraction in coal seams with low permeability. The techniques of methane control and related instruments and equipments in China are introduced. On this basis, the problems related to coal bed methane control are addressed and further studies are pointed out.
文摘2-D resistivity method is an indirect method to the shallow subsurface survey for maintaining the geo-environment. It is used to measure the apparent resistivity of subsurface. EHR technique was developed in order to get detail and deeper penetration for shallow subsurface study. In this study, 2-D resistivity with Enhancing Horizontal Resolution (EHR) technique is adopted to map and characterize the shallow subsurface (mineral exploration, geology, engineering and environment) using Pole-dipole array. The locations are Pagoh, Johor;Nusajaya, Johor and Puchong, Selangor (Malaysia). The study associated with mineral exploration is Pagoh, Johor while for Nusajaya, Johor is associated with geology and Puchong, Selangor is associated with engineering and environment. The 2-D resistivity and Induced polarization (IP) were employed at Pagoh, Johor to study and detect the subsurface variation of resistivity and chargeability of iron ore in the area. Result of the 2-D resistivity as well as the Induced Polarization (IP) shows that the area is underlain by a thick alluvium with resistivity value of 10 - 800 ohm-m iron which has chargeability rate of 0.1 - 3 msec. A sedimentary case study was executed at Nusajaya, Johor shows sandstone contains iron mineral (30 - 250 ohm-m) and weathered sandstone (500 -1000 ohm-m). Interpretation of 2-D resistivity data at Puchong, Selangor showed a low resistivity value (< 40 ohm-m), which appears to be a zone that is fully saturated with sandy silt and this could be an influence factor the increasing water level because sandy silt is highly permeable in nature. The borehole, support the results of 2-D resistivity method relating a saturated zone in the survey area. There is a good correlation between the 2-D resistivity investigations and the results of borehole records. The stratigraphy and structure of the three case studies (mineral exploration, geology, engineering and environment) can be mapped effectively using 2-D resistivity with EHR technique.
文摘The poplar bacterial canker caused by Erwinia sp. is a serious disease spreading in most parts of Northeast China, where poplars are cultivated. The disease seriously infects those poplars belonging to section Aigeiros or the intersection hybrids of section Tacamahaca and section Aigeiros and their clones. Five fine poplar cultivars resistant to the bacterial canker have been obtained by screening tests. They are Lz2(Populus simonii × nigra var. italica), A15(P. × sp.), 613(P. × sp.), A102and A98(P. × simonii × sp.). The following chemicals are obviously effective, such as: 50% DT germicide, 40% XF-136 and 10% C.C.M.A. or 12.5% ramphencol and 50,000 ppm/ml validamycin, with which the stems or the roots can be watered.
文摘In conjunction with general integral control, and synthesizing Singular perturbation and Equal ratio gain techniques, this paper proposes a new control design technique, named Power ratio gain technique, and then by Lyapunov method, theorem to ensure regionally as well as semi-globally asymptotic stability is established in terms of some bounded information. The highlight point is that it not only inherits all the essences of Singular perturbation and Equal ratio gain techniques but also makes up for their shortcomings, and then the conservatism of control input can be improved by compromising the Power ratio coefficients. Theoretical analysis, design example and simulation results show that Power ratio gain technique is a simple, practical and powerful tool to deal with the uncertain nonlinear system.

文摘Deficiencies of the performance-based iterative learning control (ILC) for the non-regular systems are investigated in detail, then a faster control input updating and lifting technique is introduced in the design of performance index based ILCs for the partial non-regular systems. Two ldnds of optimal ILCs based on different performance indices are considered. Finally, simulation examples are given to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed learning controls.

文摘This article mainly investigates the fuzzy optimization robust control issue for nonlinear networked systems characterized by the interval type-2(IT2)fuzzy technique under a differential evolution algorithm.To provide a more reasonable utilization of the constrained communication channel,a novel adaptive memory event-triggered(AMET)mechanism is developed,where two event-triggered thresholds can be dynamically adjusted in the light of the current system information and the transmitted historical data.Sufficient conditions with less conservative design of the fuzzy imperfect premise matching(IPM)controller are presented by introducing the Wirtinger-based integral inequality,the information of membership functions(MFs)and slack matrices.Subsequently,under the IPM policy,a new MFs intelligent optimization technique that takes advantage of the differential evolution algorithm is first provided for IT2 TakagiSugeno(T-S)fuzzy systems to update the fuzzy controller MFs in real-time and achieve a better system control effect.Finally,simulation results demonstrate that the proposed control scheme can obtain better system performance in the case of using fewer communication resources.
文摘Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of chronic total occlusion (CTO) represents the most technically challenging procedure in contemporary interventional cardiology.[1] Blunt lesions and presence of proximal side branch are considered to be strong predictors of reduced technical success.[ 2,3] For such lesions, the antegrade approach may not be feasible or desirable, and the retrograde approach can be used as the initial crossing strategy. However, when treating the blunt CTO with a large side branch proximal to the occlusion, the side branch might be occluded after stent implantation if the retrograde guidewire passed the occluded segment through the subintimal space and re-entered into the true lumen at the opposite side of the side branch.[4] We reported a useful method to solve the above issue which utilizes intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) to guide “extended” reverse controlled antegrade and retrograde subintimal tracking (CART) technique with a cutting balloon.

文摘Due to the attractive performances such as the ability of beam focus,broadband,multi-beam scanning and other features,Luneburg lens antennas are applied in multi-beam antenna,which overcomes the problem of gain loss produced by multi-beam parabolic antenna.Based on 3-D printing technique,Luneburg lens antennas by drilling holes are studied.Permittivity and loss tangent of the equivalent lens materials can be influenced by original materials,hole shapes,hole directions,and porosity.After tests,polystyrene with waxes may be the most appropriate materials for Luneburg lens with high strength.Permittivity with the shape of triangle is the lowest due to the homogeneity.Relative permittivities with the direction at a range of 15°-45°are lower while loss tangent at a range of 0°-30°.Radial directional holes are more appropriate for Luneburg lens.The relative permittivity is decreased with the increment of porosity.After calculations,the forecasts calculated by Looyenga and A-BG theory are more precise.Finally,Luneburg lens with two layers is fabricated by 3-D printing.
