1 Introduction.Chinese medicine has a long and rich history,dating back to the classics of the Qin and Han dynasties and extending to the integration of Chinese and Western medicine in the modern era.The vast amount of literature and scholarly works in this field makes it essential to thoroughly study the history of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in order to understand its development path throughout the ages and boost innovation based on tradition.This is why the sages emphasized the importance of“classifying the works into different schools and tracing back to their origins”(辨章学术,考镜源流).

Outline字体结构式压缩算法及其实现

针对CJKOutline字体在存储量上存在的不足 ,本文提出一种结构式压缩算法。算法对CJK字体进行集合变换 ,得到笔划集合元素 ;并利用聚类算法得到模板笔划 ;对相似数据进行统一存储与调用。同时 ,本文还提出了一种基于笔划段的笔划抽取算法 ,从图论角度实现了集合变换。结果显示 ,算法取得了较好的效果 。

Identification of Three Common Loliginidae Squid Species in the South China Sea by Analyzing Hard Tissues with Geometric Outline Method

The hard tissues of squid can provide important information for species identification. In this study, we used statolith and beak to identify three squid species including Uroteuthis duvaucelii, Loliolus beka, and U. edulis in the South China Sea. Because of the highly overlapping habitat and similar body morphology of the three squid species, we explored four different ways to identify them, by using statolith, upper beak, lower beak and a combination of statolith and beak. An outline geometric morphometric method and stepwise discriminant analysis were used to evaluate the most suitable method for the identification. We found that the combination of statolith and beak had the highest cross validation rate that was 75.0%, 87.5% and 88.7% for U. duvaucelii, L. beka and U. edulis, respectively. Using two beaks had similar results and the lowest cross validation rate was 60.0%, 50.0%, and 73.7% for the upper beak, 46.9%, 58.5% and 75.3% for the lower beak of U. duvaucelii, L. beka and U. edulis, respectively. Analyzing with the statolith had moderate cross validation which was 72.2%, 80.0%, and 87.7% for U. duvaucelii, L. beka and U. edulis, respectively. From the results it is suggested when the entire body of a squid is available, a combination of statolith and beak should be used for the identification. When only one hard tissue is available, species identification can be subjected to large errors.

Computerized simulative method of three dimensions outline of log

Log centering accuracy depends on the computerized simulative level of its three-dimension outline. In this paper, the basic methods about distinguishing three dimensions outline of log by means of computerized simulation are discussed. It is suggested that straight lines or certain curves should be introduced to connect the separated points along some log generatrices. Taking bent logs for example verify the accuracy of computerized simulative method.

On the Historiographical Reform of General History of Chinese Science and Technologyin the Post-Needham Era

The research of General History of Chinese Science and Technology(GHCST) has so far failed to transcend the"positivist history", a program of historiography initiated by Joseph Needham. The historians after Needham have made important explorations on the historiographical reform of GHCST. However, nearly all of these explorations are still the methodological reflections of the positivist history perspective, failing to reflect metaphysically on such historiographical presuppositions as views of science, technology and history, which means they have failed to break away from the positivist history perspective. To go beyond the limitations of positivist history calls for the introduction of the perspective of phenomenology of body and reflecting on and criticizing the historiographical presuppositions of positivist history on a metaphysical level. Such reflection will lead us to a new program of historiography in the post-Needham era, that is"phenomenal history"or the GHCST from the perspective of the phenomenology of body.

Hard X-ray in-line outline imaging for blood vessels:first generation synchrotron radiation without contrast agents in vitro

Objective: Phase-contrast X-ray imaging which reduces radiation exposure, is a promising technique for observing the inner structures of biological soft tissues without the aid of contrast agents. The present study intends to depict blood vessels of rabbits and human livers with hard X-ray in-line outline imaging without contrast agents using synchrotron radiation. Methods: All samples were fixed with formalin and sliced into 6 mm sections. The imaging experiments were performed with Fuji-IX80 films on the 4W1A light beam of the first generation synchrotron radiation in Beijing, China. The device of the experiment, which supplies a maximum light spot size of 20×10 mm was similar to that of in-line holography. The photon energy was set at 8 KeV and high quality imagines were obtained by altering the distance between the sample and the film. Results: The trees of rabbit-liver blood vessels and the curved vessels of the cirrhotic human liver were revealed on the images, where vessels < 20 μm in diameter were differentiated. Conclusion: These results show that the blood vessels of liver samples can be revealed by using hard X-ray in-line outline imaging with the first generation synchrotron radiation without contrast agents.

Since the end of the 20th century, Mo Yan has made an attempt to reflect on China＇s historical changes throughout the 20th century as a whole. Centered on such several novels as Big Breasts and Wide Hips, Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out and Frog, this paper explores the author＇s thinking of the interruption and repetition phenomena in China＇s 20th century history. Differing from viewing the history in a modem linear progressive perspective, Mo Yan regards the interruption of history as a sign of human degradation, which derives from the loss of folk history subjectivity. When history is treated rudely, its repetition will occur, and the one who treats history as laughingstocks will be written into history as part of a ＂farce＂.

Palaeogene Biostratigraphic Characteristics of Red Basins In Western Henan and Its Adjacent Areas, With an Outline of Palaeogene Palaeobiogeographic Provinces of China

This article is a preliminary summary of Paleogene biostratigraphy of the Liguanqiao, Tantou andYuanqu basins, with a new proposal for Paleogene paleobiogeographic provinces of China. On the basis of asynthetic analysis of the geological data, characters of the mammalian assemblages and their comparisons withother corresponding faunas, a new scheme on Paleogene biostratigraphic subdivision of the basins has been putforward here. Based on differences of biostratigraphic sequences, characteristics of mammalian assemblagesand directions of faults controlling Paleogene basins in China, six Paleogene paleobiogeographic provinces ofChina have been proposed in this paper, that is: Tianshan-Yinshan-Tumen Province; Tarim-North China Prov-ince; Kunlun-Qinling Province, Yangtze Province, Nanling and Southeastern Coastal Province, Qinghai andTibet Province.
