The sides of extraction opening is the weak coal mass, which affect immediately the stability of floor. It was simulated by numerical calculation for the strength of sides coal to affect the floor heave, the higher strength of sides coal is, the lower degree of floor heave was. So it was put forward reinforcing sides to control floor heave of extraction opening, and it was proved by engineering practice that the floor heave of deep extraction opening can be controlled to a certain degree by reinforcing sides of roadway.展开更多

Based on the field monitoring data of lateral soil pressure on the side wall of the open caisson for the southern anchorage of the Maanshan Yangtze River Highway Bridge, the statistical result of the side friction under different buried depths of the cutting edge of the open caisson was back-analyzed; and the side friction distribution of the large open caisson was underlined. The analysis results indicate that when the buried depth of the cutting edge is smaller than a certain depth H0, the side friction linearly increases with the increase in the buffed depth. However, as the buffed depth of the cutting edge is larger than H0, the side friction shows a distribution with small at both ends and large in the middle. The top of the distribution can be regarded as a linear curve, while the bottom as a hyperbolic curve. As the buffed depth of cutting edge increases continuously, the peak value of the side friction linearly increases and the location of the peak value gradually moves down. Based on the aforementioned conclusions, a revised calculation mode of the large open caisson is presented. Then, the calculated results are compared with the field monitoring data, which verifies the feasibility of the proposed revised calculation mode.展开更多

The expressions for potentials are obtained by the method of variation separation, in which the unknown coefficients are determined by the boundary condition and matching requirement on the interface. The effects of the position of the hole and the gap between the body and side wall on hydrodynamic characteristics are investigated. Some resonance is observed like piston motion in a moon pool and sloshing in a closed tank because of the existence of restricted fluid domains.展开更多

Electrical sensory and pain thresholds were measured in the forearm via transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation. The light-touch threshold was measured in the forearm using monofilaments. The light-touch, electrical sensory, and pain thresholds for the paretic side were significantly higher than for the nonparetic side in our population, respectively. In both the nonparetic and paretic sides, the male group generally showed higher thresholds for pain and sensation than did the female group.
