Vocational education plays a vital role in the development of skilled technical professionals and the advancement of the economy.However,the emphasis on campus education often neglects the importance of external training,hindering the overall development of vocational education.This study aims to address this issue by exploring the design and development of small modular courses that integrate training and education in vocational colleges,focusing on the mechanics course as a case study.The research methods employed in this study include an in-depth analysis of enterprise training needs,the development of digital teaching resources utilizing the finite element method(FEM),and the implementation of a small modular course integrating education and training.The data analysis reveals positive outcomes in terms of learners’comprehension and engagement with complex mechanics formulas through the use of stress nephograms and other digital resources.This research provides a new perspective on curriculum design and offers insights into the integration of training and education in vocational colleges.The findings underscore the significance of incorporating innovative teaching methodologies and digital resources in enhancing the quality and relevance of vocational education,ultimately contributing to the cultivation of skilled professionals and the growth of the vocational education sector. 展开更多

Purpose:This study aimed to assess the effectiveness and time course for improvements in explosive actions through resistance training(RT)vs.plyometric training(PT)in prepubertal soccer players.Methods:Thirty-four male subjects were assigned to:a control group(n=11);an RT group(5 regular soccer training sessions per week,n=12);a PT group(3 soccer training sessions and 2 RT sessions per week,n=11).The outcome measures included tests for the assessment of muscle strength(e.g.,1 repetition maximum half-squat test),jump ability(e.g.,countermovement jump,squat jump,standing long jump,and multiple 5 bounds test),linear speed(e.g.,20m sprint test),and change of direction(e.g.,Illinois change of direction test).Results:The RTG showed an improvement in the half-squat(△=13.2%;d=1.3,p<0.001)and countermovement jump(△=9.4%;d=2.4,p<0.001)at Week 4,whereas improvements in the 20-m sprint(△=4.2%;d=1.1,p<0.01);change of direction(CoD)(△=3.8%;d=2.1,p<0.01);multiple 5 bounds(△=5.1%;d=1.5,p<0.05);standing long jump(△=7.2%;d=1.2,p<0.01);squat jump(△=19.6%;d=1.5,p<0.01);were evident at Week 8.The PTG showed improvements in CoD(△=2.1%;d=1.3,p<0.05);standing long jump(△=9.3%;d=1.1,p<0.01);countermovement jump(△=16.1%;d=1.2,p<0.01);and squat jump(△=16.7%;d=1.4,p<0.01);at Week 8 whereas improvements in the 20-m sprint(△=4.1%;d=1.3,p<0.01);and multiple 5 bounds(△=7.4%;d=2.4,p<0.001);were evident only after Week.The RT and PT groups showed improvements in all sprint,CoD,and jump tests(p<0.05)and in half-squat performance,for which improvement was only shown within the RTG(p<0.001).Conclusion:RT and PT conducted in combination with regular soccer training are safe and feasible interventions for prepubertal soccer players.In addition,these interventions were shown to be effective training tools to improve explosive actions with different time courses of improvements,which manifested earlier in the RTG than in the PTG.These outcomes may help coaches and fitness trainers set out clear and concise goals of training according to the specific time course of improvement difference between RT and PT on proxies of athletic performance of prepubertal soccer players. 展开更多

A recent short course organized in the University of Lisbon, actualized with the most relevant achievement based in master research, was offered to professionals of the industry, namely, architects and civil engineers coming from diverse engineering areas, environment, construction, maintenance, consult and patrimonial enterprises and also from public organizations like city councils. The proposed action covers the areas of construction (conflict analysis, planning and materials take-off), structures (interoperability, analyses and transfer of information between software) and the most recent Heritage Building Information Modelling (HBIM) topic. The course aims to contribute to the dissemination of the potential of BIM in the areas of designing, construction and refurbishing of historical buildings. Major diversion is an important part of the large-category student enrollment and training model.The degree to which undergraduates recognize the logic of the major diversion system,their satisfaction with the diverted major,and their major identity after diversion all influence their subsequent learning process and outcomes.The questionnaire survey of undergraduates in this study discovered that major diversion attitude has a significant positive effect on undergraduates'learning gains;the mediating effect test discovered that course perception plays a partially mediating role between major diversion attitude and learning gains.Therefore,under the large-category student enrollment and training model,it is necessary to improve the major diversion system in terms of formulation,major selection guidance,and major identity promotion.Furthermore,strengthening the logical connection and content coupling of different types of courses,dealing with the proportion,priority,and sequence of courses,optimizing the allocation of course resources,and reasonably planning and setting courses all play an important role in improving undergraduate learning gains. 展开更多

Impact of a national basic skills in colonoscopy course on trainee performance: An interrupted time series analysis

BACKGROUND The Joint Advisory Group on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy basic skills in colonoscopy(BSC) course was introduced in 2009 to improve colonoscopy training within the United Kingdom, but its impact on trainee performance is unknown.AIM To assess whether attendance of the BSC could improve colonoscopy performance.METHODS Trainees awarded colonoscopy certification between 2011-2016 were stratified into 3 groups according to pre-course procedure count(< 70, 70-140 and > 140).Study outcomes, comprising the unassisted caecal intubation rate(CIR) and the performance indicator of colonic intubation(PICI), were studied over the 50 procedures pre and post-course. Interrupted time series analyses were performed to detect step-change changes attributable to the course.RESULTS A total of 369 trainees with pre-course procedure counts of < 70(n = 118), 70-140(n = 121) and > 140(n = 130) were included. Over the 50 pre-course procedures,significant linear improvements in CIR were found, with average increases of 4.2,3.6 and 1.7 percentage points(pp) per 10 procedures performed in the < 70, 70-140 and > 140 groups respectively(all P < 0.001). The < 70 procedures group saw a significant step-change improvement in CIR, increasing from 46% in the last pre-course procedure, to 51% in the first procedure post-course(P = 0.005). The CIR step-change was not significant in the 70-140(68% to 71%;P = 0.239) or > 140(86% to 87%;P = 0.354) groups. For PICI, significant step-change improvements were seen in all three groups, with average increases of 5.6 pp(P < 0.001), 5.4 pp(P = 0.003) and 3.9 pp(P = 0.014) respectively.CONCLUSION Attendance of the BSC was associated with a significant step-change improvement in PICI, regardless of prior procedural experience. However, CIR data suggest that the optimal timing of course attendance appears to be at earlier stages of training(< 70 procedures). 展开更多

We have tried in a recently published systematic review(World J of Surg 2014; 38: 322-329) to study the educational value of advanced trauma life support(ATLS) courses and whether they improve survival of multiple trauma patients. This Frontier article summarizes whatwe have learned and reflects on future perspectives in this important area. Our recently published systematic review has shown that ATLS training is very useful from an educational point view. It significantly increased knowledge, and improved practical skills and the critical decision making process in managing multiple trauma patients. These positive changes were evident in a wide range of learners including undergraduate medical students and postgraduate residents from different subspecialties. In contrast, clear evidence that ATLS training reduces trauma death is lacking. It is obvious that it is almost impossible to perform randomized controlled trials to study the effect of ATLS courses on trauma mortality. Studying factors predicting trauma mortality is a very complex issue. Accordingly, trauma mortality does not depend solely on ATLS training but on other important factors, like presence of well-developed trauma systems including advanced pre-hospital care. We think that the way to answer whether ATLS training improves survival is to perform large prospective cohort studies of high quality data and use advanced statistical modelling. 展开更多

BACKGROUND:The number of lay people willing to attempt cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR)in real life is increased by effective education in basic life support(BLS).However,little is known about access of general public to BLS training across the globe.This study aimed to investigate availability and key features of BLS courses proposed for lay people in India,Nigeria and the United Kingdom(UK).METHODS:A Google search was done in December 2018,using English keywords relevant for community resuscitation training.Ongoing courses addressing BLS and suitable for any adult layperson were included in the analysis.On-site training courses were limited to those provided within the country's territory.RESULTS:A total of 53,29 and 208 eligible courses were found for India,Nigeria and the UK,respectively.In the UK,the number of courses per 10 million population(31.5)is 79 and 21 times higher than that in India(0.4)and Nigeria(1.5).Course geography is limited to 28%states and one union territory in India,30%states and the Federal Capital Territory in Nigeria.In the UK,the training is offered in all constituent countries,with the highest prevalence in England.Courses are predominantly classroom-based,highly variable in duration,group size and instructors'qualifications.For India and Nigeria,mean cost of participation is exceeding the monthly minimum wage.CONCLUSION:In contrast to the UK,the availability and accessibility of BLS courses are critically limited in India and Nigeria,necessitating immediate interventions to optimize community CPR training and improve bystander CPR rates. 展开更多

Objective: This study aimed to assess training and internship programs (courses) of basic and clinical sciences in hospitals based on surveying the students of Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Material and Methods: The present study was a cross-sectional one with survey descriptive designs. The data collection tool was a questionnaire with 14 five-point likert style items. The Research and Development Center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences surveyed all 185 students of training and internship programs, using a questionnaire with the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 81%, for the purpose of adjusting the education to the society’s needs and improving its quality. Result: The mean scores of the assessment of training and internship programs were 3.32%, 2.98%, 3.38% and 3.29%, respectively for theoretical classroom training related to practical training, mental, communicational and practical skills courses. The students’ satisfaction rate regarding the quality of educational courses of training and internship programs was 50.2%. Conclusion: Educational authorities have made necessary attempts to implement these programs and use potential resources for realizing the objectives and achieving the educational quality;however, they should make further attempts in this regard. 展开更多

目的:本研究以国家儿童健康与疾病临床医学研究中心举办的科研能力培训班对临床教师的问卷调查为依据,探讨不同类型临床教师对本项目的满意度,以期提升各层次教师的科研教学能力。方法:本研究通过对2020~2022年参与本项目的20个省市的21... 目的:本研究以国家儿童健康与疾病临床医学研究中心举办的科研能力培训班对临床教师的问卷调查为依据,探讨不同类型临床教师对本项目的满意度,以期提升各层次教师的科研教学能力。方法:本研究通过对2020~2022年参与本项目的20个省市的214名教师进行问卷调查,收集其基本信息及对本项目课程的评价,采用卡方检验比较不同教师类型的组间差异。结果:学历为本科及以下者、医院工作者、临床专业类教师及初级以下职称者对临床研究方法的知晓情况较差,与对照组比较均存在显著的组间差异(P<0.05);学历为本科及以下者对本项目的教学安排及课程内容满意度高于学历为硕士及以上者,从事临床工作的教师对二者的满意度高于其他非临床部门工作者;不同学历、工作单位、专业类别及不同职称的教师在希望增设课程内容方面存在统计学差异(P<0.05);此外,教师从培训形式、时间及内容三个方面对课程提出修订建议。结论:临床教师对培训的满意度较高,未来科研能力培训可根据教师的学历、职称或专业等的实际需求调整课程的形式、时间及内容,以开展分批次、多层次、针对性更强的培训,以提升其科研能力。 展开更多

目的探索适合我国药学服务人才培养的本科教育模式。方法分类收集我国10所高等学校(山东大学、上海交通大学、四川大学,安徽医科大学、哈尔滨医科大学、南方医科大学、天津医科大学、南京医科大学,中国药科大学、沈阳药科大学)2018年至2... 目的探索适合我国药学服务人才培养的本科教育模式。方法分类收集我国10所高等学校(山东大学、上海交通大学、四川大学,安徽医科大学、哈尔滨医科大学、南方医科大学、天津医科大学、南京医科大学,中国药科大学、沈阳药科大学)2018年至2021年临床药学专业本科学生的培养方案,包括课程设置、学时和学分方案等,并对药学服务能力培养相关课程体系进行比较与分析。采用问卷调查法,调研四川大学华西药学院2018级至2022级在校临床药学专业本科学生对现行培养方案的认识、评价与需求。结果10所高等学校中,临床药学培养方案总学分和总学时、必修课程学分和学时设置最多的均为南京医科大学(290学分和3886学时,209学分和3562学时)。选修课程设置学分最多的为四川大学(35学分)。各医科大学理论课程设置学时较多,四川大学、中国药科大学、山东大学的实践课程设置学时较多,理论课程、实践课程学时最多的分别为南方医科大学(2910学时)和四川大学(1332学时)。各高等学校(除上海交通大学无法统计外)毕业实习时长均达到42周。中国药科大学和四川大学开设的药学服务类课程相对较多(14门、494学时和14门、424学时),且兼顾了理论和实践教学。共发放问卷149份,回收有效问卷141份,四川大学临床药学专业学生对培养方案和药学服务相关课程总体满意度高(均超过70%),但仍有24.11%的学生认为理论课程过多,实践课程过少。结论调研的10所高等学校临床药学专业本科学生的培养方案存在较大差异,且均缺乏系统的药学服务能力培养课程体系。建议以药学服务胜任力为目标,完善临床药学专业本科实践课程体系建设,增设跨学科、跨专业实践课程,建设药学服务课程群,将药学服务能力培养贯穿本科教育始终,构建适合我国药学服务人才培养的本科教育模式。 展开更多

在新时代背景下,对助产人才的培养不仅需加强专业技能方面的学习,更要全方位提升学生的思政素养。为了贯彻落实教育部关于高校课程思政建设精神,我校结合实际开展了助产综合实训课程,并在其中融入课程思政的设计与实践,在见习、实训、... 在新时代背景下,对助产人才的培养不仅需加强专业技能方面的学习,更要全方位提升学生的思政素养。为了贯彻落实教育部关于高校课程思政建设精神,我校结合实际开展了助产综合实训课程,并在其中融入课程思政的设计与实践,在见习、实训、虚拟仿真实验等环节有机融入思政元素,以实现树立助产专业信念,强化助产护理责任担当,感悟生命的可贵,培养人文关怀品质,传承大爱无疆的精神的育人目标。该文简要介绍课程思政融入本科助产综合实训课程的切入点和方法,为今后进一步开展其他相关课程思政改革教学活动提供参考。 展开更多
