The surface solar radiation in most parts of the world has undergone a phenomenon known as global dimming and brightening,characterized by an initial decrease followed by an increase.As a result,the sunshine duration(...The surface solar radiation in most parts of the world has undergone a phenomenon known as global dimming and brightening,characterized by an initial decrease followed by an increase.As a result,the sunshine duration(SD)has decreased in the past 60 years.Against the backdrop of global dimming and brightening,SD has decreased to varying degrees in many regions of China.Using the observed data of SD,cloud amount(total cloud amount and low cloud amount,abbreviated as TCA and LCA),precipitation,and relative humidity(RH)from 34 meteorological stations in Chongqing during the period of 1961-2020,along with a digital elevation model(DEM)with a resolution of 90 m,this study analyzed the spatiotemporal variations and influencing factors of SD.The analysis employed methods such as linear regression,Mann-Kendall test,wavelet transformation,and DEM-based possible SD distributed model.The results showed that the annual SD in Chongqing has significantly decreased over the last 60 years,with a decreasing interannual trend rate(ITR)of 40.4 h/10a.Except for no obvious trend in spring,SD decreased significantly in summer,autumn and winter at the ITR of 21.1 h/10a,8.5 h/10a and 7.5 h/10a,respectively.An abrupt decrease in the annual SD was found in 1979.The difference before and after the abrupt decrease was 177.7 h.The difference before and after the abrupt decrease was 177.7 h.The annual SD possessed the oscillation period of 11a.The spatial heterogeneity of the mean annual SD during the last 60 years was obvious.The distribution of SD in Chongqing is high in the northeast and low in the southeast.In addition,about 73%of the total area in Chongqing showed a significant and very significant decreasing trend.The regions with significant changes are mainly concentrated in the regions with altitudes of 200~1000 m.The increasing LCA was the main cause of the decrease of the annual SD in the regions with 200-400 m altitude decreased the most and changed the most.Increasing LCA is the primary cause of the reduction in annual SD,showing a strong negative correlation coefficient of-0.7292.In Chongqing,PM2.5 concentration showed a significant decrease trend in annual,spring,autumn and winter during 2000-2020,but the significant correlation between PM2.5 concentration and SD was only in autumn and reached an extremely significant level.展开更多

Those equations inc...Sunshine duration (S) based empirical equations have been employed in this study to estimate the daily global solar radiation on a horizontal surface (G) for six meteorological stations in Burundi. Those equations include the Ångström-Prescott linear model and four amongst its derivatives, i.e. logarithmic, exponential, power and quadratic functions. Monthly mean values of daily global solar radiation and sunshine duration data for a period of 20 to 23 years, from the Geographical Institute of Burundi (IGEBU), have been used. For any of the six stations, ten single or double linear regressions have been developed from the above-said five functions, to relate in terms of monthly mean values, the daily clearness index () to each of the next two kinds of relative sunshine duration (RSD): and . In those ratios, G<sub>0</sub>, S<sub>0 </sub>and stand for the extraterrestrial daily solar radiation on a horizontal surface, the day length and the modified day length taking into account the natural site’s horizon, respectively. According to the calculated mean values of the clearness index and the RSD, each station experiences a high number of fairly clear (or partially cloudy) days. Estimated values of the dependent variable (y) in each developed linear regression, have been compared to measured values in terms of the coefficients of correlation (R) and of determination (R<sub>2</sub>), the mean bias error (MBE), the root mean square error (RMSE) and the t-statistics. Mean values of these statistical indicators have been used to rank, according to decreasing performance level, firstly the ten developed equations per station on account of the overall six stations, secondly the six stations on account of the overall ten equations. Nevertheless, the obtained values of those indicators lay in the next ranges for all the developed sixty equations:;;;, with . These results lead to assert that any of the sixty developed linear regressions (and thus equations in terms of and ), fits very adequately measured data, and should be used to estimate monthly average daily global solar radiation with sunshine duration for the relevant station. It is also found that using as RSD, is slightly more advantageous than using for estimating the monthly average daily clearness index, . Moreover, values of statistical indicators of this study match adequately data from other works on the same kinds of empirical equations.展开更多

[Result] The change characteristics of decade, annual, seasonal, monthly sunshine hours in Dalian City were in a decrease trend since recent 59 years. The average sunshine hour in 1950s was the maximum one. Since 21st century, the annual sunshine hour was the lowest one. Annual average sunshine hours were the highest in 1978, and lowest in 2003. There were more sunshine hours before 1989 and later less. Among the four seasons, the sunshine hours in autumn decreased fastest and slowest in spring. The monthly average sunshine hours were the most in May and least in December; the sunshine hours in each month decreased fastest in July. It showed increasing tendency only in March. [Method]Based on monthly sunshine hours,precipitation,cloudiness,haze days and vapor pressure from 7 stations of Lianyungang from 1961 to 2010,monthly,seasonal,annual and interdecadal change trends of the sunshine hours were analyzed by using MK test,linear trend analysis and Morlet wavelet. Meanwhile,the cause of change characteristics was analyzed. [Result] Monthly sunshine hours of Lianyungang showed bimodal distribution,and seasonal and annual sunshine hours had decreasing trend at different degrees. The interdecadal change of sunshine hours showed wave characteristics. The annual sunshine hours had multiple temporal-spatial scale features,and there was an obvious mutation in the late 1980s. Sunshine hours in Lianyungang was closely related to visibility,cloudiness,vapor pressure and haze,and they were important factors causing that sunshine hours significantly declined. [Conclusion]The research could provide reference basis for scientifically developing and using solar energy resource and reasonably adjusting industrial and agricultural structures.展开更多

However, despite provision of Comprehensive abortion care ...Background: Termination of pregnancy (TOP) in Zambia is guided by the Termination of Pregnancy (TOP) Act of 1972 and as amended in 1994 of the laws of Zambia. However, despite provision of Comprehensive abortion care services with the liberal law, statistics at Kanyama First Level Hospital in relation to unsafe illegal abortions are alarming. This study sought to understand the Awareness on the TOP Act of the laws of Zambia among women of reproductive age 15 - 49 years at Kanyama First Level Hospital in Lusaka District. Purpose of the Study: To assess awareness on the TOP Act among women of reproductive age at Kanyama First Level Hospital in Lusaka, Zambia. Methodology: A convergent parallel mixed method design was conducted using both survey and in-depth interviews among women of reproductive age at Kanyama First Level Hospital in Lusaka District. The study surveyed 370 randomly sampled women aged 15 to 49 years old while the in-depth interviews included eight women purposively sampled from the survey population. Survey data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics while qualitative data thematic analysis was used. Results: The study found that 37% of the participants were aware of the TOP Act while 63.8% viewed legalization of abortion for any reason as wrong. The study results also showed that widowed women were 8 times more likely to be aware of the TOP Act compared to single women (AOR: 8.262;95% CI: 1.105, 61.778). Women in business were significantly more likely to be aware of the TOP Act compared to those who reported having no occupation. (AOR: 2.61;95% CI: 1.246, 5.499). Limited access to information, the social stigma attached to abortion, health care providers’ attitudes, cultural norms, values and religious beliefs, restrictive legal requirements, and absence of a supportive network were some of the barriers affecting awareness and utilization of available safe abortion care services. Conclusions: The research findings concluded that a significant lack of awareness among women of reproductive age regarding the Termination of Pregnancy (TOP) Act. The majority of respondents held the view that abortion should only be legalized for medical reasons. Furthermore, there was a notable gap in knowledge concerning the penal code’s provisions on abortion.展开更多
The treatment of hepatitis C has undergone a significant boom since the advent of direct acting antivirals (DAA). Indeed, the interferon-ribavirin combination that has been used to treat hepatitis C has a virological ...The treatment of hepatitis C has undergone a significant boom since the advent of direct acting antivirals (DAA). Indeed, the interferon-ribavirin combination that has been used to treat hepatitis C has a virological response in only 45% of cases with significant side effects. The advent of direct-acting antivirals has changed the prognosis of cirrhotic patients with hepatitis C. DAAs have ensured a sustained viral response in the majority of patients. Our work aims to see the evolution of hepatitis C patients at the cirrhosis stage under DAA. We conducted a retrospective study over 15 years (January 2009, January 2024) including all patients with post-viral cirrhosis C, whom we divided into two groups: group A, cirrhotic patients who received ribavirin and interferon, and group B, patients on DAA. From January 2009 to January 2024, we conducted a study of 182 patients with viral hepatitis C, including 102 cirrhotic patients. The mean age was 55 years. 66% of patients were initially treated with the ribavirin interferon combination, while 34% received direct-acting antivirals (DAAs). Since the introduction of DAAs, the most commonly used regimens have been sofosbuvir/daclatasvir with or without ribavirin and sofosbuvir/ledipasvir with or without ribavirin. Group A achieved sustained virological response (SVR) in 60% of cases, with notable side effects. In Group B, SVR was 98.18%, with improved tolerability and fewer side effects than previous treatments. Fifteen patients developed hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), with a significantly lower mortality rate in those treated with DAAs compared with pegylated dual therapy (p: 0.001).展开更多

The results showe...Based on the data of sunshine hours from the four stations in Jiamusi region in Sanjiang Plain from 1961 to 2011, we analysed the changing tend and the abnormal year of sunshine hours in this region. The results showed that annual sunshine hours reduced extremely significantly in three stations of Jiamusi region in Sanjiang Plain in recent 50 years, especially in spring and winter, and the decrease of annual sunshine hours was the largest in the middle of Jiamusi region, followed by the west, while it was the smallest in the east. On the contrary, annual sunshine hours increased extremely significantly in Fuyuan in the northeast. Monthly sunshine hours of this area changed from 134.1 to 246.0 h, and the maximum data appeared in March, and the next was June, while the minimum one appeared in December. Total monthly sunshine hours reached the maximum in Tangyuan in the west, followed by middle Jiamusi and Fujin in the east, while the minimum appeared in Fuyuan in the northeast. Sunshine hours showed an increasing tendency only in July and August. From 2001 to 2011, annual sunshine hours showed a decreasing tendency in Jiamusi, while there was an obvious increase in Tangyuan, Fujin and Fuyuan; in the 20th century, annual average sunshine hours from the 1980s to 1990s decreased by 267.7 h compared with that from 1960s to 1970s. Among them, sunshine hours were the fewest in the 1990s. In recent 50 years, there was an abnormal increase in annual sunshine hours in Jiamusi in 1975 and 1982; while there were abnormal decreases in Tangyuan and Fujin in 1993, Fujin in 1995, and Fuyuan in 1982 and 1987.展开更多
Objective: The aim of the current study was to assess the impact of operative interventions for misplaced device among women who opted for PPIIUCD and the evaluation of reasons for PPIUCD removal within the follow up ...Objective: The aim of the current study was to assess the impact of operative interventions for misplaced device among women who opted for PPIIUCD and the evaluation of reasons for PPIUCD removal within the follow up period of two years. Design: A descriptive exploratory study was conducted over three months among fourteen PPIUCD acceptors at a tertiary care health facility in Delhi, India. Face-to-face & telephonic in-depth interviews were conducted with a selected sample of PPIUCD acceptors who had later opted for its removal. Results: Participants (n = 14) aged 24 – 40 exhibited generally positive attitudes towards PPIUCDs indicating an indicate an understanding of the importance of PPIUCD in preventing unintended pregnancies. Menstrual disturbance and misplaced IUCD were major reasons for removal. despite their own experience necessitating the removal of IUCD, positive experience by other family members (mothers in law) in this study helped to keep the confidence on the contraceptive. Themes included (a) general experience of PPIUCD use (b) Health Facility accessed for removal of IUCD (c) Would she recommend it to others? (d) preferred contraceptive after removal of IUCD. Conclusion: Misplaced IUCD, missing thread, menstrual irregularities, and pain are all associated with PPIUCD and are important reasons for dissatisfaction. Appropriate, timely and supportive individualized care that address knowledge gaps, societal perceptions, and healthcare system challenges would certainly help in reducing dissatisfaction due to PPIUCD and thereby the removal rates.展开更多

For any of the six stations, ten single or double linear regressions have been developed from the above-said five functions, to relate in terms of monthly mean values, the daily clearness index () to each of the next two kinds of relative sunshine duration (RSD): and . In those ratios, G<sub>0</sub>, S<sub>0 </sub>and stand for the extraterrestrial daily solar radiation on a horizontal surface, the day length and the modified day length taking into account the natural site’s horizon, respectively. According to the calculated mean values of the clearness index and the RSD, each station experiences a high number of fairly clear (or partially cloudy) days. Estimated values of the dependent variable (y) in each developed linear regression, have been compared to measured values in terms of the coefficients of correlation (R) and of determination (R<sub>2</sub>), the mean bias error (MBE), the root mean square error (RMSE) and the t-statistics. Mean values of these statistical indicators have been used to rank, according to decreasing performance level, firstly the ten developed equations per station on account of the overall six stations, secondly the six stations on account of the overall ten equations. Nevertheless, the obtained values of those indicators lay in the next ranges for all the developed sixty equations:;;;, with . These results lead to assert that any of the sixty developed linear regressions (and thus equations in terms of and ), fits very adequately measured data, and should be used to estimate monthly average daily global solar radiation with sunshine duration for the relevant station. It is also found that using as RSD, is slightly more advantageous than using for estimating the monthly average daily clearness index, . Moreover, values of statistical indicators of this study match adequately data from other works on the same kinds of empirical equations.

文摘[Objective] The change law and meteorological factor of sunshine duration in Dalian in recent 60 years were studied.[Method] Based on the statistical data of sunshine duration from base station in Dalian City from 1951 to 2009,the annual,seasonal,and monthly variation of sunshine duration in recent 60 years were analyzed,as well as its relationship with meteorological factors,and sunshine duration was detected by means of climate mutation theory.[Result] Annual sunshine duration in Dalian in recent 60 years showed decrease trend on the whole,and its climatic variation rate was-3.31 h/a,with larger annual variation,namely the difference between maximum value(1978) and minimum value(2003) reached 681 h;there was obvious seasonal variation in sunshine duration,with the order of autumn>summer>winter>spring,and their climatic variation rate were-1.18,-1.15,-0.91 and-0.62 h/a;except for March,sunshine duration in each month went down,especially October,while there was slight increase in March;sunshine percentage had inverse correlation relationship with total cloudiness,relative humidity and heavy fog days;annual sunshine duration reduced abruptly around 1983.[Conclusion] Our study could provide scientific foundation for the development of agriculture and forestry in Dalian City.

文摘[Objective] The aim was to analyze the changes characteristics of sunshine hours of Dalian City. [Method] Based on the data of sunshine hours of Dalian City during 1951 to 2009 and by dint of linear estimation and accumulation anomaly, the change characteristics of decade, annual, seasonal, monthly sunshine hours in Dalian City were analyzed. [Result] The change characteristics of decade, annual, seasonal, monthly sunshine hours in Dalian City were in a decrease trend since recent 59 years. The average sunshine hour in 1950s was the maximum one. Since 21st century, the annual sunshine hour was the lowest one. Annual average sunshine hours were the highest in 1978, and lowest in 2003. There were more sunshine hours before 1989 and later less. Among the four seasons, the sunshine hours in autumn decreased fastest and slowest in spring. The monthly average sunshine hours were the most in May and least in December; the sunshine hours in each month decreased fastest in July. It showed increasing tendency only in March. [Conclusion] The study supplied scientific reference for the reasonable utilization of light energy, agricultural production structure and sustainable development of agricultural economy.
文摘[Objective] The aim was to study the characteristics of sunshine hour changes in Tacheng in recent 50 years.[Method] By dint of the measured data of annual,seasonal and monthly sunshine hour’s changes in four meteorological observatories from 1960 to 2009,using linear regression analysis method,the characteristics of sunshine hour changes in Tacheng in recent 50 years were studied.[Result] The results showed that the annual average sunshine hours in Tacheng Basin in recent 50 years were above 2 800.0 h,among which Tacheng,Yumin had the most,2 936.1,2 921.3 h respectively and Emin the least,2 814.2 h.The sunshine hours were the most in autumn and summer,followed by winter,and were least in spring;sunshine hours during growth season in Tacheng and Yumin were the most,followed by Emin and then Tuoli.The linear tendency rate of sunshine hours in four stations in February was negative.But only the value in Tacheng,Emin decreased at a rate of-4.7 and-6.0 respectively;the linear tendency rate of sunshine hours in four stations in May,June and October were positive,but only Yumin station mounted at a rate of 14.5,12.6,11.2 h/10 a.The linear tendency of seasonal sunshine hours during the year and the growth season increased in Yumin at a rate of 74.9 and 60.5 h/10 a.The linear tendency rate of sunshine hours in four stations in winter was negative,among which the rate of Tacheng,Emin and Tuoli decreased at a rate of-5.5,-6.7,-4.9 h/10 a;that in other three seasons,only in Yumin,it increased most rapidly at a rate of 9.7,7.7 and 7.0 h/10 a.[Conclusion] The study provides theoretical reference for the adjustment and perfection of husbandry industry structure and optimization,reasonable development and utilization of solar energy resources.

文摘[Objective]The research aimed to study climatic change characteristics of sunshine hours in Lianyungang and analyze its formation reason. [Method]Based on monthly sunshine hours,precipitation,cloudiness,haze days and vapor pressure from 7 stations of Lianyungang from 1961 to 2010,monthly,seasonal,annual and interdecadal change trends of the sunshine hours were analyzed by using MK test,linear trend analysis and Morlet wavelet. Meanwhile,the cause of change characteristics was analyzed. [Result] Monthly sunshine hours of Lianyungang showed bimodal distribution,and seasonal and annual sunshine hours had decreasing trend at different degrees. The interdecadal change of sunshine hours showed wave characteristics. The annual sunshine hours had multiple temporal-spatial scale features,and there was an obvious mutation in the late 1980s. Sunshine hours in Lianyungang was closely related to visibility,cloudiness,vapor pressure and haze,and they were important factors causing that sunshine hours significantly declined. [Conclusion]The research could provide reference basis for scientifically developing and using solar energy resource and reasonably adjusting industrial and agricultural structures.
文摘[Objective] The research aimed to analyze the variation characteristics of sunshine hours in Puyang City in recent 51 years.[Method] Based on the monthly sunshine hours in five meteorological stations of Puyang City during 1960-2010,the annual,seasonal and monthly variation trends of sunshine hours,mutation time node were analyzed by using the climate trend coefficient,climate tendency rate,sliding average method,SNR and so on.The objective fact and rule of sunshine variation in Puyang in recent 51 years were revealed.[Result] The annual sunshine hours presented the decline trend in Puyang City in recent 51 years,and the decline range was-14.30 h/a.The seasonal sunshine hours presented the decline trend over the years,and the decline range was during-0.66 and-1.89 h/a.The maximum decline range was-1.89 h/a in summer.The monthly sunshine hours presented the decline trend over the years,and the decline range was during-21.51 and-2.13 h/a.The maximum decline range was-21.51 h/a in July.The annual sunshine hours had one mutation in 1983.The sunshine hours was more in the 1960s and 1970s.In the middle and late periods of 1980s,the sunshine hours was relatively less.[Conclusion] The research provided the guidance value for the adjustment of plantation structure and the transformation of agricultural developed manner in Puyang City.

文摘Background: Termination of pregnancy (TOP) in Zambia is guided by the Termination of Pregnancy (TOP) Act of 1972 and as amended in 1994 of the laws of Zambia. However, despite provision of Comprehensive abortion care services with the liberal law, statistics at Kanyama First Level Hospital in relation to unsafe illegal abortions are alarming. This study sought to understand the Awareness on the TOP Act of the laws of Zambia among women of reproductive age 15 - 49 years at Kanyama First Level Hospital in Lusaka District. Purpose of the Study: To assess awareness on the TOP Act among women of reproductive age at Kanyama First Level Hospital in Lusaka, Zambia. Methodology: A convergent parallel mixed method design was conducted using both survey and in-depth interviews among women of reproductive age at Kanyama First Level Hospital in Lusaka District. The study surveyed 370 randomly sampled women aged 15 to 49 years old while the in-depth interviews included eight women purposively sampled from the survey population. Survey data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics while qualitative data thematic analysis was used. Results: The study found that 37% of the participants were aware of the TOP Act while 63.8% viewed legalization of abortion for any reason as wrong. The study results also showed that widowed women were 8 times more likely to be aware of the TOP Act compared to single women (AOR: 8.262;95% CI: 1.105, 61.778). Women in business were significantly more likely to be aware of the TOP Act compared to those who reported having no occupation. (AOR: 2.61;95% CI: 1.246, 5.499). Limited access to information, the social stigma attached to abortion, health care providers’ attitudes, cultural norms, values and religious beliefs, restrictive legal requirements, and absence of a supportive network were some of the barriers affecting awareness and utilization of available safe abortion care services. Conclusions: The research findings concluded that a significant lack of awareness among women of reproductive age regarding the Termination of Pregnancy (TOP) Act. The majority of respondents held the view that abortion should only be legalized for medical reasons. Furthermore, there was a notable gap in knowledge concerning the penal code’s provisions on abortion.
文摘The treatment of hepatitis C has undergone a significant boom since the advent of direct acting antivirals (DAA). Indeed, the interferon-ribavirin combination that has been used to treat hepatitis C has a virological response in only 45% of cases with significant side effects. The advent of direct-acting antivirals has changed the prognosis of cirrhotic patients with hepatitis C. DAAs have ensured a sustained viral response in the majority of patients. Our work aims to see the evolution of hepatitis C patients at the cirrhosis stage under DAA. We conducted a retrospective study over 15 years (January 2009, January 2024) including all patients with post-viral cirrhosis C, whom we divided into two groups: group A, cirrhotic patients who received ribavirin and interferon, and group B, patients on DAA. From January 2009 to January 2024, we conducted a study of 182 patients with viral hepatitis C, including 102 cirrhotic patients. The mean age was 55 years. 66% of patients were initially treated with the ribavirin interferon combination, while 34% received direct-acting antivirals (DAAs). Since the introduction of DAAs, the most commonly used regimens have been sofosbuvir/daclatasvir with or without ribavirin and sofosbuvir/ledipasvir with or without ribavirin. Group A achieved sustained virological response (SVR) in 60% of cases, with notable side effects. In Group B, SVR was 98.18%, with improved tolerability and fewer side effects than previous treatments. Fifteen patients developed hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), with a significantly lower mortality rate in those treated with DAAs compared with pegylated dual therapy (p: 0.001).
文摘[Objective] This study aimed to analyze the change characteristics of sunshine hours in Benxi mountainous area in recent 57 years.[Method] Based on the data of monthly sunshine hours,total cloudiness,vapor pressure and ≥0.1 mm precipitation days from Caohekou weather station during 1954-2010,by using linear tendency,Mann-Kendall method and wavelet analysis,the change characteristics of sunshine hours in Benxi mountainous area in recent 57 years were analyzed,as well as the possible climatic factors resulting in the decrease of sunshine hours.[Result] In recent 57 years,except for the slight increase of sunshine hours in winter,annual sunshine hours and sunshine hours in other seasons showed significantly decreasing trend,and annual sunshine hours varied abruptly in 1971.In addition,total cloudiness,vapor pressure and ≥0.1 mm precipitation days affected sunshine hours obviously,but sunshine hours didn’t simply increase as the reduction of total cloudiness and ≥0.1 mm precipitation days,which showed that the influencing factors of sunshine hours were complex.[Conclusion] The research could provide scientific references for the reasonable utilization of light energy,adjustment of agricultural industrial structure and sustainable development of agricultural economy in mountainous areas.
文摘Based on the data of sunshine hours from the four stations in Jiamusi region in Sanjiang Plain from 1961 to 2011, we analysed the changing tend and the abnormal year of sunshine hours in this region. The results showed that annual sunshine hours reduced extremely significantly in three stations of Jiamusi region in Sanjiang Plain in recent 50 years, especially in spring and winter, and the decrease of annual sunshine hours was the largest in the middle of Jiamusi region, followed by the west, while it was the smallest in the east. On the contrary, annual sunshine hours increased extremely significantly in Fuyuan in the northeast. Monthly sunshine hours of this area changed from 134.1 to 246.0 h, and the maximum data appeared in March, and the next was June, while the minimum one appeared in December. Total monthly sunshine hours reached the maximum in Tangyuan in the west, followed by middle Jiamusi and Fujin in the east, while the minimum appeared in Fuyuan in the northeast. Sunshine hours showed an increasing tendency only in July and August. From 2001 to 2011, annual sunshine hours showed a decreasing tendency in Jiamusi, while there was an obvious increase in Tangyuan, Fujin and Fuyuan; in the 20th century, annual average sunshine hours from the 1980s to 1990s decreased by 267.7 h compared with that from 1960s to 1970s. Among them, sunshine hours were the fewest in the 1990s. In recent 50 years, there was an abnormal increase in annual sunshine hours in Jiamusi in 1975 and 1982; while there were abnormal decreases in Tangyuan and Fujin in 1993, Fujin in 1995, and Fuyuan in 1982 and 1987.
文摘Objective: The aim of the current study was to assess the impact of operative interventions for misplaced device among women who opted for PPIIUCD and the evaluation of reasons for PPIUCD removal within the follow up period of two years. Design: A descriptive exploratory study was conducted over three months among fourteen PPIUCD acceptors at a tertiary care health facility in Delhi, India. Face-to-face & telephonic in-depth interviews were conducted with a selected sample of PPIUCD acceptors who had later opted for its removal. Results: Participants (n = 14) aged 24 – 40 exhibited generally positive attitudes towards PPIUCDs indicating an indicate an understanding of the importance of PPIUCD in preventing unintended pregnancies. Menstrual disturbance and misplaced IUCD were major reasons for removal. despite their own experience necessitating the removal of IUCD, positive experience by other family members (mothers in law) in this study helped to keep the confidence on the contraceptive. Themes included (a) general experience of PPIUCD use (b) Health Facility accessed for removal of IUCD (c) Would she recommend it to others? (d) preferred contraceptive after removal of IUCD. Conclusion: Misplaced IUCD, missing thread, menstrual irregularities, and pain are all associated with PPIUCD and are important reasons for dissatisfaction. Appropriate, timely and supportive individualized care that address knowledge gaps, societal perceptions, and healthcare system challenges would certainly help in reducing dissatisfaction due to PPIUCD and thereby the removal rates.
