During 2012-2014, a comparative field trial was carried out in Lingyun County of Baise City in northern Guangxi to compare plant height, yield, stem-leaf ratio and nutrient composition am-ong Pennisetum purpureum Schumab cv. Purple, P. purpureum Schum cv. Guimin and P. purpureum Rich ＆#215; P. americana King grass cv. Reyan No.4. The results in-dicated that average annual fresh yield of P. purpureum Schumab cv. Purple reached 141.4 t/hm2, which was 2.3 t/hm^2 higher than that of P. purpureum_Rich×P. americana_King grass cv. Reyan No.4; both average annual fresh yield of these two species was lower than that of P. purpureum Schum cv. Guimin. Stem-leaf ratio of P. purpureum Schumab cv. Purple was the lowest （1.17）, which was 17.8% lower compared with P. purpureum Schum cv. Guimin, with significant differences （P〈0.05）, indicating that P. purpureum Schumab cv. Purple had more leaves. Crude protein content of P. purpureum_Schumab cv. Purple was slightly lower than that of P. purpureum Rich×P. americana_King grass cv. Reyan No.4, while P. purpureum Schumab cv. Purple was superior to P. purpureum Schum cv. Guimin and P. pur-pureum Rich ×P. americana_King grass cv. Reyan No.4 in other indicators. Specifi-cal y, P. purpureum Schumab cv. Purple contained 26.6% of dry matter, 39.1% of nitrogen-free extract and 2.9% of crude fat.展开更多
This study questions the importance of public debt in stable growth between 1980 and 2018,specifically,the Ricardian equivalence hypothesis and Keynesian view are questioned.This study used data obtained from the Nort...This study questions the importance of public debt in stable growth between 1980 and 2018,specifically,the Ricardian equivalence hypothesis and Keynesian view are questioned.This study used data obtained from the Northern Cyprus State Planning Office.A restricted vector autoregressive model is used to test the causal relationships between this model and public debt,government expenditure,total capital,consumption,investment,employment,net exports,exchange rate,and gross domestic product growth rate.To ensure financial stability,the variables that trigger economic growth through increased interactions were evaluated.Accordingly,unlike other studies,the Wald test results reveal that public debt does not have a direct effect on the gross national product but indirectly affects total capital,consumption,investment,and public expenditure,all of which influence real gross domestic product(RGDP).It has been observed that employment affects RGDP,consumption,government spending,and investment.There is also bidirectional causality between consumption,government spending,and RGDP.The estimates of the Ricardian equivalent hypothesis are important.However,today’s changing economic policies,declining real incomes,and consumer behavior in the face of ever-increasing inflation require that the theory be redesigned.Therefore,contrary to theoretical predictions,consumers are concerned about maintaining their standard of living rather than directing tax deductions to savings.Contrary to the claims of Keynesian researchers,no causal relationship is observed between public debt and growth in this study.However,public debt directly affects total capital,consumption,government spending,and investment,which are important for sustainable economic policy.展开更多
In 1907,military leader Robert Baden-Powell started the Boy Scouts Association in England as the British colonial government officers instituted Tamale village as the administrative centre of the Northern Territories ...In 1907,military leader Robert Baden-Powell started the Boy Scouts Association in England as the British colonial government officers instituted Tamale village as the administrative centre of the Northern Territories Protectorate.Sam Yarney worked with Frank Collyer the European bank cashier and scoutmaster who started the Boy Scouts in the Gold Coast Colony in 1914,the year the First World War started.In 1922,Governor Gordon Guggisberg,who was brigadier general during the war was the chief scout.He reorganized the Local Boy Scouts Association in the Tamale Government School that received select boys from various schools in the Northern Territories Protectorate.The schoolboys excelled in the Standard VII and Civil Service Examinations to work with the government institutions and train as teachers and telegraphists.Arthur James Philbrick the chief scout commissioner of the Northern Territories employed Yarney as the assistant scout commissioner in the Southern Province to take on the staff of the reorganized Tamale Local Boy Scouts Association and register the 1st Tamale Troop.The scout officers subscribed to a Scout Fund to buy kit,for the schoolboys who passed the Tenderfoot Tests to buy uniforms and perform at events.展开更多
